what if and hear me out here… Ruby is timid because @teethwitheyes101-blog was right about their head cannon and people look down on her for having the “weak fire” coloring? and so hear me out on this next one BUT. (scroll past the next picture)
tourmaline has one of the stronger fire colors in scale indications that teeth with eyes has supplied us with, so that’s why she was the stronger daughter who was hold and brave, because also scarlet has the scale colors right in the middle of ruby and tourmaline, btw !!SPOILERS FOR ESCAPING PERIL!!, so closer to the end of the book when it’s discovered that Ruby is actually tourmaline with a spell over her earring maybe just maybe it was so that way none of Scarlets kids would be brave enough to challenge her? because if tourmaline had stronger fire than Scarlet, Scarlet would be aware of the fact tourmaline would have much more strength than Scarlet did, so she killed the original Ruby and then the spell on the earring made “Ruby” believe she had never been any other dragon but Ruby, that way Scarlet did not have to die from her stronger daughter before she got the chance to be queen for the rest of her life and “Ruby” thought she was too weak to challenge her mom, so she lived obediently, then we break into the point when scarlet and “Ruby” are about to fight over who gets to be queen “Ruby” isn’t willing to do assuming she would never win, but as SOON as she gets to be Tourmaline again she’s confident in her strength and beats Scarlet resulting in the evil queens death, just think about it! Scarlet had an animus at the time when she had that earring made and she had two daughters one of which could have very well been able to kill her! and scarlet had already shown a willing to kill her kids, so with her last two kids what if she was so power hungry that she decided to off her weakest of the two then make the strong one believe she was weak rather than just having someone kill Tourmaline for her? also clearly Scarlet has a way powerful ego so she most likely would literally never been willing to hire an assassin rather than do the dirty work herself! also! she would want to kill her much stronger daughter while making a spectacle of it, she would want everyone to see it, but she couldn’t do that if she had a definite disadvantage! so as a summary, scarlet totally killed the real ruby because she was weak, made tourmaline (who is much stronger fire) believe that she WAS ruby for her whole life so that scarlet could be queen even longer!
this is long and possibly a yap sesh BUT i was looking for cool WOF aus to read through and teeth with eyes’ art came up making me think of the leaked pictures of the escaping peril graphic novel and how Ruby is darker in color than everyone imagined which gave me this whole thing that ive typed out :3 tbh i was originally looking for motivation to write my own AU but then this happened 😅 but this is so much more fun bro

BOOK COVER OH EM GEE :3 i drew the original sketch of this at church, all of my best drawings happen at church🤔 but anywayyyyy here it is! since her lore mixes in with the main line i chose her book to take its place in the series as book 7 mostly because i don’t like winter that much… his character development is crazy! don’t get me wrong, he’s just not my favorite so out of arc 2 i decided to remove one and replace it with mine :3
also, i didn’t draw the fish and stuff i took them from google 😅
okay hear me out, i imagine this is what pineapple looks like normally, i know it doesn’t fit his namesake but when i read the fifteenth book this was somehow what i pictured him as? i think it’s a cool contrast of grey scale with yellow personally

i used a random art theme generator for this one, i don’t know if i want this war type scenario be what kills Eclipse ore if it ends poorly but she survives either way it WILL be diabolical 🌝

been debating on this piece for a few days tbh, it wasn’t that easy to figure out how to portray fear and oddly enough the background was the easiest part even though i hate doing those..
SO…. i got a little too into wof this afternoon and cranked this out :3 I’m a christian btw so like i know some thinks about religion and the trauma that can come from it, so that was kinda what made me want to do this, that and the fact religion is heavily implied in WOF mainly in arc three w pantala but all the main Pyrrhian protagonist dragons hint at it at least once

So Wof religion, all the wings of fire dragons say “oh moons” and variations of that, so i assume that all dragons worship the moons one way or another but i imagine that nightwings started it, in the ancient kingdom when the first nightwings got powers from the moons they started worshiping them. They praised the moons for giving them these gifts and the nightwings named the moons, the would start building temples and their whole kingdom in ways the more dragonets were born with these powers, the other tribes gained things like art and war advantages,ect from the nightwings and they gained this worshipful practice from the nightwings here's each tribes reason for worshiping the moon and specifically how the go about worshiping the three moons
Mudwings: on theory it gave them success and helped their crops grow in the warm muddy locations they lived in. Every two full moons they dedicate a whole day to relaxing and thanking the moons for all they've done, when all three moons are full they celebrate with huge parties where they gave offering to the moons, many dragons use full moon days/nights to plant crops since they all believe it will make things grow better and bigger
Skywings: they felt the moon gave their dragonets more strength and better life ambitions while in the egg which would lead them to be a powerful kingdom full of scholars and brave dragons. Once a month they gather all the dragonets born in the month under the moons to name them, they think this awakens the dragonets mind with the gifts the moon gave them, in schools dragonets are taught to love the moons for being the smart younglings they are
Sandwings: they worship the moons assuming that they keep the oasis’ full of clean water for them to drink. They celebrate the moons with offerings of artwork and praise as well as requests to keep the waters flowing and the prey abundant
Seawings: they believe the moons keep the ocean currents from ripping up their homes by keeping the water calm, when there's hurricanes and really bad storms they assume they angered the moons. They hold what we would consider Sunday mass, families are expected to offer the best of what they hunted over the week to keep the moons happy.
Icewings: they believe the moons are what keep the snow snow-y. They base their religion on the idea that the moons keep their habitat cold for their survival. Similar to how the some dragons in the outer villages have days celebrating Caribou all the icewings even the nobles spend a week of the year celebrating the moon with parties art feasts, anything that spreads joy to all the icewings and makes them grateful to the moons
Rainwings: they believe in the power of the moons the least of all the tribes, many not believing in it at all, but those who do, believe that the moons gave them their venom
when they first moved into the rainforest. To celebrate the moons they offer fruits to altars that they set up in their huts and other sorts of rainwing homes
Since there's not only one religion in the world, I imagine that some dragons worship the queens of their kingdoms. They believe that each queen is a puppet for a higher power like the pope or any priest for humans almost?? For the skywings they believed Firestorm and Scarlet were a form of punishment for whatever reason excluding those who liked having those two as their queen of course, the same goes for all tribes really, otherwise various dragons might worship random things and other various made up idols of power, and i imagine all of them worship in ways similar to how we have christianity then for example we have mormons who are kind of like christians but with some different values, and some religion would vary across tribes like this:
Seawings worship the ocean for it allowing them to live in its depths
Nightwings (before it blew up) might have worshiped the volcano for its power
Sandwings worship the sand/sun for sustaining them with prey and heat
Icewings worship the snow for similar reasons to the sandwings with the sun
Rainwings worship the sun for its warmth and because it keeps the plants around them alive
Mudwings worship the mud for its healing capabilities
Skywings worship the mountains/wind for making them stronger (Authors note!! it was brought to my attention i forgot to add the factoid that skywings do have a reincarnation sort of thing for their dead (duh) so for that one, i feel they do that because they believe the mountains are able to heal them kind of how mud wings use mud and seawings use the sea, i imagine they would get this idea from an old story of a sickly old dragon who died and came to life when his family left him on a mountain peak Arthur Morgan style! so the skywings assumed that the mountains themselves brought the dragon to life again and they try to preform this ritual to bring their dead to life! i won’t clarify weather it works or not cuz i think that can be left to artists and fanfic writers who include the ritual :3)
It all varies, and id imagine they make music and art to praise these things just like us humans do
with these headcannons i can totally see the chance for a totally cool religion AU! I wouldn't mind at all ever if someone did use this for an AU! I would appreciate credit of course and id love to see how my work gets maybe used :3 but otherwise go wild!
I dunno if i want to do a pantalan one of this though 🤷

sorry I missed yesterday! but in some good news :3 I DROVE FOR THE FIRST TIME TO EARN MY LICENSE TODAY ^_^ I did awesome exept i need to work on my turn signals, I will remember them tomorow definitely and I need to relax a bit more but I'll do it!
"style swap between two oc's" the whiter guy is Oliver, he was the one who I gave my SOAD shirt too and that lovely girl next to him is Eclipse! I humanized her just for this! Eclipse would be a more vintage-beachy sort of gal while Oliver is emo they would definitely be besties even if one is from COD and one is from WOF :3
"the original design of a current OC" here's eclipse.... she looks nice of course but this is SO EMBARASSING for me.. I drew this in church and I made up her lore in church, here's the origional lore now! "nightwings, they/them, raised by the seawings, animus (thanks to anemone) mind reader, her necklace hides her appearence to all outsiders till it gets broken by clay (accidentally) they are very smart and make tons of gadgets, queen coral took them in as her own when they found them in the summer palace when eclipse was 2"
Reading this today, gosh, I realize why I made eclipse. they were everything I couldn't be, they were with a woman when I couldn't be, they were smart when I felt anything BUT smart, they were friends with my favorite characters! their pronouns were mostly chosen to be different and unique when I felt like I couldnt be different and unique! I was in maybe 6th grade when I made Eclipse, and I had been reading wings of fire since fourth grade, I'm in tenth grade now. that's six years of wings of fire, and four years of eclipse... four years of change and they have grown with me through all of that! their lore is extensive and detailed now, what used to be one page and like six sentences is now like 40 pages of info! I made my own dragons before making Eclipse but they were the only one that's ever STUCK you know? sigh, they mean so much to me man anyway, happy OC-tober guys!

This was started like a year ago??? Maybe more??? I had done most of the lineart by the time it was abandoned but I now finally have the time to finish it. Patch notes: Seafoam patterns on the webbing and wings, slight color changes
