He can’t remember how he made it back to his room, because as soon as he heard the news everything began to blur. He stands at the door as if he was an outsider looking in, the room was quiet and empty, devoid of all emotion. The same very room that used to be lively and loud, slammed full of every emotion possible. Because you were happy, especially when you were alone with him. But you were gone, and he was alone.

He slowly walks to your shared bed, and at first he just lays on his side looking at the wall. On any normal day you would be next to him, a giddy smile on your face as you cup his cheek with your small hands. But today wasn’t normal, and everyday from this day forward wouldn’t be. A devastating realization that hadn’t sunk in until now. His body curls in on itself as a constricting feeling overwhelms every part of him, a feeling that wouldn’t go away for a very long time, if ever. His fists clench around the soft material, and he finally lets everything out. The sounds emitting from his throat aren’t human, and his screams can be heard throughout the long corridor but no one bats an eye. They all knew what happened, so they let Jean grieve.

As he lays cold and alone he aches for your arms to wrap around his torso, for your face to press against his as you whisper reassuring words in his ear. But his body remains cold because you are gone which makes his heart hurt so badly because he wants you, he wants you to hold him like you did just a few days ago. And everything in him tells him to get up and look for you, to see if you are in the library or outside but he knows you aren’t. You are nowhere, not anywhere on this earth and that thought alone makes him scream. He feels like he is going to die, and in that very moment he would welcome death with open arms. He doesn’t want to live in a world where you don’t exist, because for the past 8 years you have been his everything. He hasn’t gone a day without seeing you since the cadet corp, your face has been a constant thing in his life. Your beautiful face, that he would never get to see again.

No matter how many times he closes his eyes he always wakes up in his bed, alone. Because you are dead.

don’t imagine sirius and remus clinging tightly to each other after so many years of being apart, desperately trying to make up for the last twelve years.

i understand they had to change and adapt some things, but they seriously took out the best line. and they made the song less serious. it’s supposed to be daisy’s silver springs moment.
