South Korea, a nation where roughly 1/4 of the population is Christian of some kind, have had every gay rights measure held back by Christians (more specifically, Evangelical and Dominionist Protestants). It is the Christians throwing dogshit and human feces at every pride parade in Seoul and elsewhere in South Korea. They illegally block roads and physically assault rallies for political rights for the LGBT+ people, and it works, since even the most "progressive" mainstream party in South Korea absolutely refuses to debate enshrining LGBT+ rights and protections. It is the Christians who threw feces and balloons filled with urine at two gay public figures holding a marriage ceremony in public, despite the fact that this was entirely symbolic, thanks to Christian movement (funded in part by U.S. evangelicals) blocking any measure of legal recognition for gay people, even civil unions. So excuse me if I feel that treating anyone that died trying to and failing to bring Christianity to a country next door should be treated as an agent of evil that they were when they were alive.
