Merry Christmas Everyone! - or is it? Well let´s smile, so no one will notice. Sometimes “the most wonderful time of the year” isn´t the same for everyone. Of course, children with no homes or food don´t have a happy christmas, but what is with the ones, who got everything, except a loving home? Please think about this. Children don´t call for help, they just smile. They are helpless. Please watch carefully. Don´t just stand there. It might be their last christmas they have.

Barkstar hated the cats that came from the woods with their kittens. How dare they get to survive the forest while two of her own kits died there? She devised a plan to lure them into this den with the false pretense of taking these now-motherless kits back to the quarry after they were done, and use the opportunity for more slaughter, blaming them for the death of a queen and her kits as an excuse to drive their own children out.

She'd gotten finished with Flashpoint and Pineburr and was turning towards the two grey kittens cowering in the bush, when who but Wavestar would come in carrying Barkstar's own young son, the last of her doomed litter, limp in his jaws.

I just fell down an unexpected hole. After reading June 30's entry, I started making connections in my mind between Jonathan's attempted shovelmurder and the concept of regeneration through violence. My spouse is more well versed in this concept but I recalled him linking it to Theodore Roosevelt. As I understand it, TR very much believed in the necessity for men to use violence to blossom as Real Men. In a civilized society, men would degenerate due to soft living. They could only restore themselves - regenerate themselves - through violence. Since one of the things I enjoy about reading fiction from past centuries is imagining how it impacted people then versus now, I started thinking about how today's readers (here on Tumblr anyway) feel very gratified by Jonathan's sudden choice to employ homicidal violence. For us, he's a relatively weak character (meow meow) who we want to see regenerated through (his embracing) violence. But how would it impact readers at the time? Would they be horrified to see a well educated English gentleman lose his shit like that? Or would they feel excited and cheer him on? So I thought of Teddy Roosevelt and it occurred to me that he was alive at the time Dracula was published. This is where the hole I fell into comes in. Turns out, Bram Stoker and Teddy Roosevelt met on two occasions and also corresponded. Stoker was impressed with TR's strength of personality. I think this adds a whole new aspect to our charming cowboy, y'all. Not only that, but Stoker was friends (possibly more, folks) with Walt Whitman. THE Walt Whitman. The unapologetically GAY Walt Whitman. Please imagine the glee with which I write this. So any gay subtext you were sort of wondering about? Asking yourself (like I was) is this *really* gay subtext, or am I reading into it? Welp, Stoker LOVED Whitman's poetry (link attached leads to an article that includes the full, gushing text of Stoker's first letter to Whitman if you want to see for yourself). So I'm going to go with, HELL YES. THE SUBTEXT IS REAL AND INTENTIONAL. I know this is probably common knowledge in some circles, but I never studied or read Dracula before now so for me, it is a delightful surprise.

Now a new study looking at 400,000 youths from 88 countries around the world suggests such bans are making a difference in reducing youth violence. It marks the first systematic assessment of whether an association exists between a ban on corporal punishment and the frequency in which adolescents get into fights.

Tsuki knows Kuroo loves the color of blood, especially when he’s covered in it so when he does kill, he makes it as messy and violent as possible

Kuroo finds it really pretty, since his father sliced his mom open and stabbed himself in the throat, it’s a coping mechanism

He likes to be covered in it, it feels calming, so he’ll cover his arms in it and maybe his face, then Tsuki holds him (covering himself in the blood) and then they have sex

They were caught and sent to prison (it kinda goes into the DC world here, it helped inspire this),

They were kept together, lest they get out in search of their partner

If either gets out, everyone stays out of their way

Tsuki would run around, frantically searching for Kuroo, while he would have this mean look (head tilted down, hair covering his face, smiling) with his fists clenched, with a determined walk, like he knows where Tsuki is

By the time they reach each other, they are going to be covered in blood

When they do meet, they mostly hug and then quickly get out

They are usually sent back to a cell, eventually together (no one has any other problems with them after)

They are actually pretty nice and will sometimes protect the newer inmates if they like them, and get along well with everyone

They do become apart of the suicide squad and survive

They eventually do escape and don’t keep killing, they flee the country with Akaashi and Bokuto

i grew up in a small house near a cemetery, could hear them howl as they lower the ones they love in the ground. i pulled out my own baby teeth, the pain never seemed to bother me. i made friends with the kids down the street..

and i still lose it every now & then in an interview, or a photoshoot. i could be halfway through a show and it all comes creeping in. and i've sacrificed all my friends birthdays, weddings, everything, and it's heartbreaking but this is my dream. and i did it all without a phone call, or a christmas card. you have no heart. this is my way of saying don't start.

and you should see the shows i play, and hear them sing the words i say. i wonder sometimes if you are in the crowd. 'cause i needed help, i needed love, i needed care, i needed a hug, i needed praise, i needed time with you. and it plays on my mind all the time, all the time. i wanna love you but i need you to try.

don't start now i'm winning and finally happy. don't start now i've done all the years of hard work. don't start taking over, and asking for favours.

i just fixed myself and the mess that was, and now i’ve gotta go write a whole new album to reinvent myself again. was here me sucks, i want to kill her off so bad.
