Society

As the liveliest country in the Continent, Hobius is known for its youth and joy, allowing it to prosper and grow. Dubbed the City of Celebrations, Citrinus is famous for its legendary parties and wine that never seems to run dry. The people of Hobius never knew hate or disgust, since positivity and confidence is a core component in everyday life. Because of this, Hobius is full of color and imagination, full of the brightest hues and craziest things. Hobians are strong, set in their beliefs yet carefree at the same time. It is encouraged to be yourself, which is why many love visiting Hobius. People do not care who you are or where you came from. Identities are lost in the thrill of parties and drunkenness and sex. Most of Hobius' population are immortals for this exact reason.

Economy

Like the rest of the Continent, Hobius profits from the sea, mostly with seashells, lobsters, shrimp, and oysters, but Hobius’ main source of coin is cotton production and dyes. Some dunes in northern Hobius hide fertile soil, which is perfect for cotton growth, and the country’s native flowers thrive in the heat and sun. These flowers produce the most beautiful colors and are ground up into dyes and paint. A majority of clothes in the Continent are made with Hobian cotton, which is incredibly soft and non-irritable to sensitive skin. Grain and livestock are imported from Jinaia and Sugaru, and Hobian commonfolk stick with seafood because of the cost of meat.

Environment & Climate

Rolling dunes cover southern Hobius. The only relief to the relentless scorching heat is the storms from northern Hobius. Because of recent weather patterns, the desert is receiving more rain than it ever has, and Hobians are extremely glad. In northern Hobius, the environment is far more forgiving and promising. Plains of grass flow with gentle winds, and mountains reach high, creating the ideal location for a home. Most Hobians either live in the north, along the coast, or in Citrinus. The desert is avoided for good reason.

Hoseok as Headmaster

Background

Hoseok is the son of a Citran noble family, and he and his older sister Jiwoo grew up learning the ways of their parents, who were masters of revelry. This is where Hoseok realized that it is easier to persuade someone to your side through celebrations, and because of his family history, he inherited the love and passion for hosting all sorts of parties. When he was a teen, he dreamed of becoming something greater, and with his knowledge and lots of patience, Hoseok is now known throughout the Continent as the Headmaster of Revels. His parties are legendary, thrown in extreme luxury, full of exotic crowds and people. It is considered a high honor if you receive a personal invitation from Hoseok, since it signifies he has noticed you. A majority of his invited guests are female. The only males he has ever invited are his friends, the other six rulers of the Continent.

Personality

When asked about the Headmaster, there is a common theme of answers: Hoseok is a ball of sunshine, always beaming brightly and radiating fun and joy. He is indeed the sun, smiling and laughing all the time and cracking jokes with everyone he meets. He truly enjoys being Headmaster because he gets to bring happiness to his people. Seeing them have fun is something Hoseok cherishes without hesitation. With people he is closest to, Hoseok is laidback and kind, still being that light of positivity. In his free time, Hoseok likes to dance and write songs, along with going out to drink and traveling to see his friends. However, when the situation calls for it, Hoseok will be strict and firm. An angry Hoseok is rare. Those who have seen him in such a way say he is incredibly scary.

While war is not a worry within the Continent, each country has ready forces. This necessity is for external invasions rather than internal.

Hobius’ strongest factions are the armia (army) and the aria (air force). Like Jinaia, Hoseok's country shares a majority of its borders with the sea. He is concerned with enemy navia entering his territory, so aria squads are often sent to scout the shores.

Religion

Most Hobians practice armina. This is more common in households that are not located in Citrinus. Catallia, jedwa, lukana, and ismala are practiced as well, and there are some who believe in no god. This is prominent in immortal homes. In Citrinus, however, religion is forgotten. Citrans party too much to remember such things, too drunk and too entranced by the unending fun.

the next part of the soft!dom joel fic is gonna be another doozy, probably even longer than "for what it's worth". it's gonna take me a bit to get it complete so in the meantime i'm thinking i'll write a few shorter fics set within that universe. i really want to write one where he calls her his good girl for the first time and i also want to write one exploring the times she tried to get him to have sex with her lmao and the times she tried getting him to open up more. i just want their relationship to be a bit more fleshed out before i post The Big One. and yall deserve some more smut lol

happy army day!

I can't believe I've been an ARMY for 6 years already.

I started my journey back in 2017, between the LY: Her and Mic Drop (Steve Aoki version) eras. As a 14/15-year-old, in that weird, awkward phase of growth and puberty, I didn't realize how much of an impact these 7 Korean men would have on me.

I wasn't in a healthy mental and physical space when I discovered BTS. I was experiencing lots of bullying, both IRL and online, and it only worsened because of my depression and anxiety. There was a period of time where I considered leaving this world, believing it to be the only way out of all this pain and suffering.

But BTS showed me there was a light at the end of the tunnel. That there was freedom and happiness after all this hardship.

They are one of the reasons I'm still here today.

I can't ever thank them enough for saving me. For showing me there is a reason to live, and that this world is beautiful despite all the sadness and pain. That their music is an escape, that they'll always love and embrace me with open arms.

Thank you, BTS, for showing me how to love and accept myself. 💜

I will continue to follow your solo and group projects, and I can't wait for our beloved reunion in 2025!
