I will build a temple to Mnemosyne

It will be in the middle of a glade surrounded by mountains. I will walk the path. I was touch white stones to the arch of my foot and the palm of my hand. I will let the cold sunlight touch my skin. I will not be naked because that’s how you saw me. I will reach the well and look down into that place that has no memory, only abyss and something close to, but not quite like peace.

I never thought I would have to keep anything else from you

like, after we were officially together, we would know everything about each other, reading each other like open books. Yet I find myself holding back so much, to spare you and in turn spare me. The tragedy in my soul is not easily digested.
