Things were definitely, immediately, not going to plan. It was supposed to be simple. Follow the address and meet with the guy she was supposed to meet for this delivery. But, as seemed to be the usual, something was wrong. Beth had a feeling this wasn't even the right address, it seemed to be some building development. She figured maybe it was a good place to meet, low security and not really any workers there in the evening. Quiet, for sure, but...

She just about jumped out of her skin hearing the man's voice, but she played it off, kept her wits about her, and turned quickly to face him. In the low light she could almost make out the features of his face.

"Well - I'm - okay, you caught me," she gave a mock smile, acting like it was all some joke or honest mistake, "Honestly, I'm in the market for somewhere new for my kids. The homes nearby are nice, but I wanted to know the surrounding area better."

She shrugged, taking a step closer to him, "You try and run from the bad memories all around you and sometimes you just - end up lost wandering a construction site," Beth flashed him a smile, hoping he was buying into it, "You understand, I'm sure."
