While I enjoy the "Apollo doesn't understand German so Klavier says cutesy things to him in German to mess with him" trope. I would like to raise you the "Apollo speaks fluent German thanks to working with Kristoph and knows EXACTLY what Klavier is saying when he speaks it but pretends not to just to mess with HIM" trope. Athena thinks it's Hilarious™.
Bonus Below:
Athena gets Blackquill in on the joke because he also speaks fluent German (mixture of working with Athena and Edgeworth). As a result, she busts into his office all the time like:
Athena: SIMON! SIMON OMG! HE TOLD APOLLO HIS FOREHEAD COULD RESEMBLE THE CROWN JEWELS WITH HOW BEAUTIFUL IT IS!
Blackquill, already grinning: Oh lord, and what did Justice-dono say back?
Athena: He said -snrk- he said, "ok piano!"
