Okay but do the RBs factor into the soul permeability thing? Cus after the river bubble, Pro and Ortus and Matias and Marta all go to help Gideon original flavor in the river with Varun. Did they all lose and their souls absorbed?

Do we think that Varun chose to speak through Judith cus something happened there with Marta? I know they didn’t attain lyctorhood, but if Marta’s soul is in there wouldn’t she still be looking for her Adept?

Matias (and Ortus) would want to help the reverend daughter.

I truly have no clue what og Gideon’s feelings or motivations would be, but Varun just hung out in the sky for a long ass time for it to not have a reason to do so before sending the heralds.
