One thing I love about rise Raph is his first instinct to protect his family. Sometimes it makes him an overbearing parental figure when he’s the oldest there. Being the eldest myself, my first reaction was to stand close to my siblings and hold/guard them (in the few times something was seriously life-threatening or paralyzing). I was terrified myself once, I wanted to cry so badly, but I lashed out and yelled and defended my sisters, and held them so they could cry on someone first.

maybe it’s just me, maybe not everyone who’s the oldest sibling feels like this. But I do. It’s honestly what makes this Raph so special, what forced him in the temporary position of leadership, even when he wasn’t fit for it.
