Angels Of Death Game - Tumblr Posts

Sorry Zack fangirls I’m one of you but we need to have a talk about the guy we simp for

HEAR ME OUT this is the most beautiful piece of music in this game and it fits its concept perfectly. It's like one of those melodies that are beautifully melancholic. It starts playing when there are oddly heartwarming conversations between ray and zack; when I first listened to it I suddenly thought about something being somewhat cold, distant and soothing.
Them being two distant souls, soo close yet soo far away. I think it also feels like a glimpse of light: the only hope available for them, trapped inside this hell of a building, is to have each other.
It perfectly suits their relationship, enemies at first, who seem to be complete opposites but when you actually look underneath you find out that they have a lot in common, maybe even too much. They might have a lot of differences on the surface: he's loud and harsh while she is quiet and fragile, he has a lot of energy to spare while she lacks of it and she's barely holding her broken pieces together; he's completely focused on the present moment and on what's in front of his eyes while she is constantly spacing out and thinking about the future; he's blunt and straightforward while she struggles to speak what's on her mind. BUT when you start looking beyond the surface you see that they're both feel so damn alone and rejected by society, they both feel a lot of hatred towards themselves, they are both touch starved, they both struggle to express their true feelings and emotions and they both simply want to feel accepted for who they are, even for a small bit.
The big difference is that they deal with their issues in a different way, zack tries to suppress and ignore it, he doesn't want to acknowledge that lonely part of himself and so he tries to pretend like it's not there while rachel bottles up and keeps inside everything like it's her most precious secret.
When this song plays the two of them finally get more and more closer, they start to understand each other and share that pain and suffering that both of them feel. For the first time of their lives, they feel understood. Yet, there's still something that prevents them from being together, first the emotional barrier between them, then danny shooting rachel and in the end the police that takes rachel away from him. The title "Far in the distance" couldn't describe all of this better.
Ofc this is just my interpretation and it doesn't have to be right, but that's how I feel about it.
