Anne: Im Not Into You... Jk Unless? - Tumblr Posts

She knows its wrong to imagine herself in the arms of a stranger, but it had been too long since she'd felt such a spark. She was here as a guest--as a chaperone if she were being completely honest with herself--and she shouldn't have allowing her gaze to wander at all. With three wily girls under her care, and a sister enjoying the magic of her wedding day, Anne shouldn't have had the opportunity to let her eyes wander to anyone but the starring couple. Yet, her dark blue eyes always managed to find him.

He, who, despite seemingly meeting her gaze her all night, had taken the hand of another woman and swept her out of the room. The bride wouldn't be the only one to enjoy a night of passion, it seemed. Not that it mattered. Not to her. This was her sister's wedding, Charlotte's day of magic, not hers. Yet a sour taste lingered in the back of her mouth, not quite jealousy, but something just as unreasonable.

After what felt like an eternity, Anne left out a soft grumble. Turning, she was surprised to notice that anyone she might converse with seemed preoccupied. The three girls were busy befriending other girls their age and Charlotte seemed to be lost in her husband's eyes. But Anne saw it as an opportunity. If anyone noticed her exit, she could say she was searching for the bathroom. But, in truth, she had a far more devious plan.

It didn't take long to find the pair of miscreants. Not when the door was left open and the sounds of muffled pleasure spilled from the room. Anne knew she shouldn't stay. It was untoward to be neqr such a thing, let alone watch it unfold. But, once again, his eyes seemed to find hers and her feet felt rooted in place. Only when the woman leaves does she gather the courage to speak. Though, courage wasn't exactly the way she'd describe this feeling.

"If I...? Are you...?" She stared at him, lips parted and finger ready to be pointed in his direction. She'd never felt more like a teacher than in this moment, and yet it was perfectly called for, she believed. Was he truly accusing her of following him? She had, she supposed, done exactly that, but it wasn't for whatever he was assuming it was for. Was it?

"You are unbelievable. Not only are you acting with such misconduct, and at a wedding, might I add, but now you have the audacity to assume I'm here for the same thing? Women don't exist to please you." A scoff left her as she crossed her arms over her chest, not able to meet his eyes for the first time all night. "And I am certainly not some wanton that is chasing after you, if that's what you think."

an evening of stealing glances at one another from across rooms has admittedly left him intrigued enough to try and get them alone. it's fairly easy. he makes sure they're watching as he takes the woman whom he made a false promise to marry once she leaves her husband and finds a private room. he makes sure to leave the door unlocked so that his little shadow can come watch if they so wanted. and sure enough, he finds them lingering in the doorway, bearing witness to his debauchery. he holds their gaze the entire time his mistress is down on him, until they break eye contact and turn away just as he finishes. after his mistress leaves, lorcan finally approaches them and immediately invades their space, pleased that his plan worked.

"if you wanted to get me alone, all you had to do was ask." he teases like he didn't just cook up an elaborate scheme to do just that.
