Also some thoughts about the whole 100 Baekhyuns project under the cut:
In the last couple years I’ve failed on follow through in some important ways and it feels so good to just FINISH a big project. Perhaps especially good to finish a silly, low stakes project that’s entirely for myself. I let myself just draw simply and draw my favorite things (Baekhyun, expressions, boys with fluffy hair), and the encouragement I got from y’all along the way was SO helpful.
Despite not pushing myself, I do think it made my art better. This project allowed me to say “well if this one sucks it’s just 1 out of 100” and that meant that I KEPT DRAWING. In particular I think I gained a much better understanding of color and shading.
and idk *I’ve* been through a lot during Baekhyun’s enlistment (which has been the majority of my time as an Exo-L, after having the terrible timing of falling immediately in love with Baekhyun at the end of 2020) and Exo content has been a brilliant distraction and comfort and creative inspiration. I think the couple irl people who follow this blog (who I sort of hope aren’t reading this haha but also if you are thank you) would attest it’s been a long haul but I’ve been moving upwards! and having this lighthearted thing to hold out for with Baekhyun coming back was nice.
tl;dr: why did I do this project that literally no one asked for? Who can say, but I think it did me some good and I hope you enjoyed the many small Baekhyuns.
