I just about threw my phone again. It was getting on my nerves! Like why is she such a bitch to him! She manipulates and is so toxic.
The concept of this show is great the love interest hate her-hate hate hate her! It's not even meant to be a romance!!
The Flash was apart of the arrowverse list I decided to finally sit down and watch. Green Arrow season 1 passed, building was solid Helena that show’s Iris was dead. Omgosh how happy was i to see her die on screen. Why did the female leads or potential female leads have to be so manipulative. Like give me someone sweet and gentle with their hero partner. Something that while not physically strong is still strong and able to overcome stuff. I don't want her to feel so out of this world, more like if a hero clinged to the idea of normal. And her turn around to “i didn't want to be normal. I wanted to be abnormal like you. But with you I learned that normal is just fine. That normal is peacefully morning with coffee. They're watching kids in yards.” Domestic shit. And the hero? He gets that normal that he so desperately wanted.
Like that'd feel so much more in character for someone sweet and nerdy like Barry. Why the hell would he go for a journalist? Why would he stick with his first love who clearly wasn't interested in him. Like think of the angst of a world crossover where an Iris gets Barry versus not. It'd be much more interesting than whatever the hell Spiderman x Superman fusion they wanted for flash.
“did you throw you phone again?”
Stocking my tongue out at my Roommate, “Your sure one big simp.” They laughed at my agony, “they could do Barry so much better if they gave up the Iris subplot! Let her die and stay dead!”
“What like you?”
“What no! Why does everyone assume that? Like sure I'm not against filling shoes but I don't think I'd be a good match for him.”
“Why? You simp hard enough.”
“Romance and relationship aren't about simping, dude. Plus he needs to slow down and breath. I'm someone who needs to go fast. Sure theorically would could balance each other out but…”
“But?”
“I'm not that much in dululu land. I'm aggressive and visually angry all the time. Defensive at the best. We'd probably grate against each other and ruin the whole friendly sweet personality Barry has.”
“You know? I think it'd be the opposite. Like you want to go fast but he needs to slow down for you. Where he's friendly you could keep a leash on him. Where he's late your already planning and coming up with ways to make him on time. I think it'd be a match made in heaven.”
“Ewww stop feeding my delusions. It doesn't matter anyways.”
“Why?”
“Cause he's a simp for Iris.” I say turning back to my phone with the paused TV show. Grumbling going back to it.
“I wonder….” My roommate trailed off clicking my door shut once again, I got the weirdness uneasy feeling running down my spine. Though shrugged it off for a hunch that something bad was going to happen in the show.
Oh how right I was.
3 days later.
“Your Caitlin Snow. Your Cisco Ramon. Your Harrison Wells.” I slowly spun pointing at the once characters so far away was now within touching distance. “And that means your…” A red blurr skids to a stop, “Flash.”
I let the silence steep in the air as I chewed my thumb, “fucken Void.” I grabbed phone calling them immediately, “YOUR A FUCKEN BITCH! What did we say about dululus! WE DONT NOT ENCOURAGE OR CHANGE WORLDS TO SATISFY CURIOSITIES!”
“Well hello! I wanted to see if sparks would fly.”
“Oh sparks are gonna fly when I kill you and burn your body.” I snapped back before ending the call rubbing my forehead trying to think of a way go fix.
“So how'd you get in?” Cisco asked over his snack of the moment.
“Didn't mean to I opened a door.”
“A door?”
“Ya? Worlds are interconnected. You know the speedforce and realm jumping and all that shit.”
“You know about the Speedforce?”
“Now to find the right door so I can strangle my darling roommate. They said go for it. They said what could happen with an interdimetionable being? Nothing they'd be too scared to ruin the balance of things. NO NO ONE MET THIS Stupid fucker! So long as it's interesting it'll happen.” I wandered through Starlabs I could feel people staring into my back as I open and closed various doors in opens to finding the right one but no luck.
“So this happens often?”
“Yep.” Popping the P with a big sigh of defeat, as another door failed.
“So Void? Just sends you off with nothing?”
“No no. He chaotic neutral bish knows I know my way around this world.
“So its not random?”
“No. Gods do you enjoy interrogating me? World's often have echos of each order. Speedsters can only come I contact with ones that either have speedforce on it or if a doppelganger is there. Void doesn't have those restrictions. He's not a bad guy or even someone who you can fight. He's not a rogue or a metahuman you created. He just like putting theories to a test.”
“Is it alright that your sharing this information?”
“Sure it's not like you'll remember me when this is over.”
“Wait why not?”
“Cause I don't exist here? By allying myself with my roommate I essentially killed off any dopples of myself. I'm the one and only. And two you wouldn't remember me cause it'd break timelines. Everything I do will be edited to fit whatever narrative. With minor exceptions.”
“and those exceptions?”
“I'll will be replaced by someone who fits better.”

As I pulled up to Star Labs I noticed flashes of light coming from the Lab windows.
At first, I wondered why Barry called me and Oliver. But I think I found part of my answer just now.
“Oh boy” I said under my breath as I make my way into the huge building
“Barry! . . . Barry! Wooow” I called out before being grabbed and suddenly whooshed up to the Lab
“I have to say, Barry, you have to have a lot of fun with that power of yours” I laughed looking up at him laughing
“How are you y/n?” Barry smiled laughing to keeping an arm around my shoulders.
“I’m good. Sorry but your distress call came with bad timing in our city, only I could make it.” I gave Barry and Cisco a tight-lipped smile
“Hey don’t make it sound like a bad thing” Barry shook me a little, getting my attention
“Yeah, we just need help” Cisco said looking a little upset with whatever is going on
“We are happy to just see you y/n” Caitlin said entering the room and walking over to give me a hug
“Thanks, Caitlin” I smiled hugging her back
“So guys you were very vague on the phone” I told them pulling away from the hug stepping back
They all got a little quite, looking down and around the room. I decided to change topic.
“So do you guys ever get a break?” I asked moving about the room. Looking around not much has changed since the last time I was here.
“Well do you?” Cisco asked me already knowing the answer
“You, uh got me there” I bit my lip scoffing, tilting my head to the side
“So are we waiting on anybody else or?” I stretched the ‘or’
“Yeah. . . we kinda are” Barry stuttered itching his head
“Well, then who?” I questioned raising a brow
“Us dear girl” Professor Stein said entering the room, as well as the rest of the team
“Not a girl, haven’t been since a little before my brother came back from the island of hell. Now women, yes.” I corrected him pointing from him to me
“I can attest to that” Sara said looking over to me as I did her
“Oh my god” I ran over hugging her. God I miss her.
“I’ve missed you to.” She replied hugging me tighter
“Don’t give me that look I missed you two, too.” I said turning to look at Leonard and Mick, smirking
“Yeah, yeah hug us later. Right now just tell us what’s the big deal” Mick said waving at me. Trying to hide the smile forming.
After team flash explained everything about who we're supposed to be apprehending. An explaining how we are gonna do it. I looked at them thinking about how me and Oli could have done this a lot faster just as our brother-sister tag team. Ironic since team flash has the fastest man alive on their side.
“Well if we know how to take them down why are we all just standing around here?” I spoke out loud
“We needed more body’s” Caitlin answered
“Well, we have them now let’s go!” I yelled before looking and pointing at Barry “ Barry suit up let’s go.”
“Your not very patient” Barry said before flashing out to change and flashing back in
“I was patient for 5 years I’m done with being patient.” Mick, Leonard, and Sara smirked at my statement.
“Ready?” Barry asked me as he came over to stand next to me
“Yes! Let’s go. Whoever gets there first wins!” I yelled at the rest jumping on Barry’s back before he flashes out of the building. Both of us laughing.

“So why are we here?” Y/n asked looking at the giant building called ‘StarLabs’ right in front of her.
“I’m not telling her again.” Mick grumbled to Leonard walking ahead of the two.
“We are here dear Y/n because they are willing to erase our recent crimes as long as we help them.” Leonard spoke softly yo his littlest sister, walking side by side.
Y/n hummed smiling at the thought before her expression turned to one of confusion. “Sounds like a good deal. But I don’t have a criminal record?”
“That I’m proud of.” Leonard wrapped his right arm around her shoulders. He couldn’t help but be proud of the fact that he was able to keep her out of there line of work.

“Finally. You’re late.” Cisco stated as soon as he saw them enter.
“Our apologizes” Leonard smirked to Team Flash.
“Whos this?” Caitlyn asked looking over to the face none of them have seen before.
“Hi. I’m Y/n.” Y/n waved at the group of people before Leonard motioned her over to him.
“She is-” Barry started, staring at the girl named Y/n awestruck.
“A criminal.” Cisco said bluntly
“I was gonna say gorgeous.” Barry smiled, admiring her beauty.
“She is very beautiful, and she seems sweet.” Caitlyn agreed, but not for the same reasons.
Cisco sighed “ So that begs the question of why’s shes come here with, them.”
“Well, then let’s ask.” Caitlyn suggested to the two boys. Before she walked over to Y/n who was not far from Mick and Leonard.
“Y/n was it?” Caitlyn asked as she approached the unknown girl.
“Yeah. Hi.” Y/n nodded smiling at the taller female.
“I’mCaitlyn and that’s Cisco, and Barry.” Caitlyn introduced herself and the boys. “And we ere wondering-”
“Why are you here with them?” Cisco blurted out, getting to the point in his opinion.
“Excuse me?” Y/n asked confused by their question.
“You came here with those two so you’re either a criminal, like them- or I’m at a loss.” Cisco explained with an annoyed expression.
“I think what Cisco means is.” Barry cit in. “You seem really nice and sweet. To sweet to be a criminal. So why are you here?” Barry asked rephrasing the question Cisco originally asked.
“Well, thank you. I think.” y/n furrowed her brow, confused on how to take what was said. “But actually I am here to help.”
“Dear Y/n here is a great strategies.” Leonard walked over joining the conversation.
“And a great escape artist.” Mick smirked remembering when they were younger how she could escape from anything and that skill only got better with time.

“Well thanks for the help.” Barry thanked the three standing before him.
“Hmmm” Mick hummed in acknowledgment.
“Your welcome Team Flash.” Leonard smiled slyly. Beofre turning to leave.
“Hey Y/n would you mind swapping info. Maybe we could go get drinks sometime.” Caitlyn spoke before Y/n could get to far.
“Yeah, Cait sure.” Y/n nodded with a big smile on her face. She would always welcome having a new friend.
Leonard walked over to Barry, turning to stand next to the younger man. Crossing his arms. “If you do what you’ve been thinking about for the last couple hours Allen. You better treat her with respect.”
“I-I would, I-I will. Ya know if I do.” Barry stuttered, flustered by Leonard Snarts statement to him.
“I’ll be keeping an eye on you two.” Leonard smirked
“I understand. She’s your friend, your looking out for her.” Barry nodded.
“Well considering she’s my baby sister. I would say looking out for her and being protective of her is in the job description.” Snart laughed under his breath. Knowing he’s just shocked Barry’s mind.
“She’s your little sister?” Barry asked more shocked then he’s been in a while.
“You. And I’ve been able to keep her safe and out of the criminal world. She has no record and no one knows about her. If you date her Barry, make sure to keep it that way.” Snart patted Barry on the back.

An towards the end of the request it sounds like you want me to change to a female character or at least I think. I’m gonna even if you didn’t mean it that way. I’m making the little boy the reader and Barry’s kid. Also the title is based on Barry and Iris’ relationship just FYI.

“Please be careful.” Y/n pleaded one last time with her son before he goes to the past.
“I will mom.” Y/s/n smiled at his mom. It was somewhat annoying that she kept saying it but he could understand where she was coming from.
“If you can’t do it just know I don’t blame you and I know you did your best.” Y/n pulled her son into a hug, making sure to reassure him.
“I promise, mom.” he nodded
Y/n nodded letting him stop away from her embrace. “Don’t give him to hard of a time, ok?”
Y/s/n scoffed “Why not? Dad changed the timeline, didn’t like t so he changed it again and it’s erasing us. His family. He made it so you both never got together and I never existed. So he can what? Have his old girlfriend back?”
Y/n smiled, she understood where her son was coming from. And why he is mad with his father. He has every right to be. “Listen to me, baby. I understand why you’re mad at him. I’ll admit it hurts me too. But you got to understand Hunny, I wasn’t your father’s first love.”
“What do you mean?” he asked confused
She gave him a tightlipped smile “We became friends a year an half after Iris decided she was done with him and his alter ego. We were not friends at first, baby. We hated eachother. I was an assassin-”
“You only assassinated bad people!” Y/s/n exclaimed with a tone that made it obvious he was pissed even more at his father than before.
“I know, baby. But to your father and his team I was still a killer, it didn’t matter that I only took out bad guys. So even though our separate teams had to work together for a long while, we didn’t get along. I tried to make friends with them but they were standoffish, due to what I did for a living. What I still do. Eventually, we all became like family but your dad was the last to come around. Once he did we got along great, became the best of friends. He always tried to get me to change my ways but no longer judged me for them. I tried to explain to him that, sometimes the bad guys need to die. That’s why I did what I do. We eventually got closer that everyone around us could feel the tension between us. Not long after that, we started dating. With me, he got over Iris and the heartbreak. Feel love again.”
“Mom, if I don’t get this worked out and I’m erased… Will you remember me?” he asked her nervously.
Y/n pulled him into a hug. “Of course I will baby.”
He snuffled into her chest. “How? It’ll be like I never existed.”
“My powers, one of them allows me to remember everything. I remember every timeline change. Sometimes it sucks but I’m glad that if you can’t stop it and I lose you, my baby. At least I’ll be able to remember you.” She reassured her son, who she really hopes succeeds. Because Y/n does not want to lose her boy or to have to live without him. Having no one even know he existed but her.
“Won’t it hurt though?” Y/s/n asked looking up at her
Y/n nodded with a watery smile. “Yes, knowing I had you and then not having you. It’ll hurt a bunch, but I’d rather remember you than not.”
“I’m gonna do it, mom. I promise, I’m gonna try my hardest. For you and for me.” He nodded to himself more than to his mom. Y/s/n was talking up the confidence he already had to help himself get even more motivation, and get even more determined.
“I love you Y/s/n.” Y/n stated leaning down to kiss his forehead for what could be the last time.
“I love you too, mom.” Y/s/n held his mom in a tight hug before leaving and maybe never see her again.

“So your from the future?” Caitlin asked looking at the preteen before them.
“Yes.” Y/s/n nodded, standing before team Flash.
“And your here to prevent Barry from changing the timeline again?” Cisco squinted, giving a suspicious look.
“Yes.” Y/s/n nodded again
“Why?” Wells asked joining in
“Because when he changed it this time he changed the outcome of so many things. Too many things. Important things.” Y/s/n pointed towards Barry as he explained all he could without damaging the future.
“What did I change it for?” Barry asked with a furrowed brow.
Y/s/n rolled his eyes “An emotional decision, not a logical one.”
“That’s not exactly an answer.” Barry pressed getting annoyed with the vagueness coming from this kid.
“Well, it’s the only one your gonna get.” Y/s/n stated annoyed and gave him a look to make sure it was well known he is annoyed with the older speedster.
With that, the team decided that they had no choice but to stop the mistake they made. Y/s/n was very adamant about reminding them it is not their fault it’s Barry’s. Y/s/n was there for a few weeks when it finally happened. A mission went wrong and after weeks of stress the break-out fight and feelings came out.
“No Barry! I’m done! With you and with all of this!” Iris pulled her arm out of his grasp.
“I didn’t mean to do it! Please Iris… don’t do this.” Barry pleaded with tears in his eyes.
Iris shook her head with tears going down her face of frustration. “No, Barry. I’m done.”
“Iris… Iris.” Barry called out to her as she walked away from him. After what Iris’ reasons were maybe if he went back in time he could change what he did wrong and fix their relationship.
“No!” Y/s/n grabbing his father before he could do what he knew he was thinking.
“What-?” Barry turned to see Y/s/n holding him back.”Let me go!”
Y/s/n shook his head “I can’t let you do that.”
“You don’t even know what I’m gonna do.” Barry struggled against Y/s/n’s hold
“Yes, I do.”
With those 3 words, Barry stopped struggling and got out of y/s/n grip. He turned to face him before asking. “Is this what came back here to stop me from doing?”
“Yes” Y/s/n sighed looking him in the eyes.
“I’m not meant to be with Iris. Am I?” Barry came to the conclusion
“No. Your not.” Y/s/n admitted
“Than who am I suppose to be with?” Barry asked defeated. “I love Iris.” he whimpered
“I can’t tell you who you end up with.” Y/s/n knew he couldn’t do that, the pieces have fallen into place themselves. “But I can tell you that you end up happy, and with a family.”
After a while of silence, of Barry thinking he looked Y/s/n is the eyes and asked. Well, more like stated. “You are my son. Aren’t you?”
Y/s/n opened his mouth looking around the room. “I can’t.”
“Confirm that, I know I know.” Barry nodded he should have expected that. “It’s just you have my powers and some looks we share.” He gave a light laugh.
“It’s not the only power I have.” Y/s/n spoke lowly, looking down at his feet.
All Barry could do was nod. Now that Y/s/n had stopped what he came to change it time to say goodbye.
Y/s/n “Well, I guess this is goodbye.”
“See you in the future.” Barry smiled giving him a knowing look.
“See you in the future.” Y/s/n smirked. An with that said the young boy speeded away back to the future.
“What was that about?” Cisco asked his taller friend once the boy left.
Barry shrugged “Nothing… I just think I met my future son though.”
“Wait…” Caitlin looked up in a flash. No pun intended.
“WHAT!?!?!?!” All team Flash minus Barry yelled out in shock and confusion- you name it.

You gasp as Barry falls to the ground next to you, withering as he’s tased. “Your quite right Iris the assailant was left handed just like this man here”. You stare at the fake barry who is now passed out, his previous actions make so much sense now.
Just five minutes before this Barry or everything man as Catlin is calling him kissed you. Now that you know it wasn’t Barry kissing you, you're not sure how you feel. In the moment when you felt his soft lips against yours all you felt was ecstatic. You and Barry had been dancing around each other since you met. Neither of you made the first move, till today or at least that's what you thought. You can’t believe you kissed the meta-human who's been terrorizing the city.
“We need to get him to the cells” Wells directed, Iris objected telling the three of us that they need to take him to the police. Surprisingly Wells agreed, requesting Catlin help Iris with the unconscious Shapeshifter. While Iris and Catlin escorted the shapeshifter out of the cortex you went to find Barry.
You cautiously enter the Wests’ house, heading up the stairs to Barrys room. At first glance you don’t see him till you open the closet, you find Barry tied and gagged. You quickly untie him, setting his head in your lap. In an effort to wake him you start with small slaps to his cheek. At his lack of response your slaps grow rougher till eventually you slap him harshly leaving behind a red hand print. He does finally jolt awake, shock on his face as he quickly looks around. “What was that for?” he groans holding a hand to his face.
“I’m sorry you weren’t waking up, are you okay.” you gently reach out, placing your hand over his red cheek.
“The meta-human was here he changed into me we need to-” you quickly interrupted his rambling telling him that they had already caught him. “I just hope he didn’t do anything stupid while he was me”, he could already imagine all the crazy things this shapeshifter could have done while wearing his face.
“Don’t worry Catlin was with him from the moment he left the house till he was at star labs.”
“So nothing embarrassing?” he questions, you paused for a moment contemplating whether or not you should tell him about the kiss.
“Nope nothing i can think of…. Youdidkissmethough” you quickly say, words blending together. Barry stared at you trying to decipher what you said.
“What?”
Now you're the embarrassed one, face heating up as you thought over your next words. “You or fake you kissed me,” It was quiet, too quiet before Barry spoke up.
“He kissed you” his voice was soft, laced with a tone you couldn’t place. You just shook your head, scared your voice would betray you. “Oh… Did.. did you kiss him back?” Barry seems just as surprised as you at the question.
“I didn’t kiss him he kissed me” you felt the need to clarify, and you were avoiding answering his question, because you did kiss him back.
“Of course” he seemed dejected at your answer, standing up and moving away from you. You panic slightly as he moves away, you didn’t want this to get between the two of you.
“Barry, are you upset?” that was a stupid question, of course he’s upset you just aren’t exactly sure exactly what upset him.
“Yes” he quickly answered, making you wither, Barry seemed to realize his mistake quickly elaborating. “I’m not upset with you, I’m upset with myself” now you were just confused.
“Why are you mad at yourself?”
“Because that stupid Meta got to kiss you before me because I’m such a chicken.” His confession leaves you breathless.
“You want to kiss me?” you tried not to get hopeful.
“Of course I want to kiss you, who wouldn’t want to kiss you?” You let his words sink in for a moment before you stood to your feet and kissed him. It was a soft, lovely kiss. When you pull apart, both of you have dorky smiles on your face.
“So am I the better kisser”
You giggle giving him a bright smile, “Definitely”
