Shiro and Keith were voice actors together on a hit anime. When it’s all over, Shiro has one regret: that he never confessed his feelings for his breathtaking costar, Keith. 

Not only does Shiro secretly ship their characters together, after a year he’s still desperately pining for the man. He rewatches old episodes and the rasp of Keith’s voice undoes him. It’s the stuff of his deepest, darkest fantasies.

Until he sees an ad for an adult fantasy voice chat service geared toward nerdy ships. There’s even a channel for Beast King GoLion! Now, maybe that is his deepest, darkest fantasy.

And that’s how pining Shiro ends up having anonymous phone sex with a man who, impossibly, gets Keith’s character voice just right. He’s hooked.

I know the West loves Voltron. I know the original Voltron show is a dub of Beast KingGoLion. But why the unholy fuck was it produced like that? Why the horrible voices? Why the space hospital? Why is Pidge an alien that's like 5'11? Why the unholy hell did it get a sequel that was entirely made of 3D, reprising the original cast?

Why the hell was one of the asian men, known as Takashi Shirogane, Norwegian with a horrible accent?

Those are questions I will never know the answers to.

And before someone comes in and says I'm a dub hater, I watch dubs like 90% of the time. Beast King GoLion has just a weird English dub production that I can't wrap my head around.

I was looking up characters and found out that the English production got rid of Shiro's actual brother Ryou and made him Sven because they "essentially look alike".
