I think that maybe the reason English teachers don't like me is because they're all too scared to admit that most characters in classic literature are gay. Luckily, I have no problem saying that.

Like the myth where Ra has to rip out his own eye to make the egyptian war godess Sekhmet, who goes on a rampage killing all of humanity until Ra realizes "ah shit, that's probably bad." then Ra has to subdue her with wine and blood until she's so hungover she doesn't wanna kill anyone for a while.
Or the norse myth where Thor is tricked into drinking from the ocean cause he thinks it's booze, and lowers the world's water supply just cause he's determined to get fuckin hammered.
Or in Journey to the West (I'm counting it in the same way I'd count King Arthur and Beowulf in this conversation) where Heaven's top priority at one point is making sure Sun Wukong isn't bored cause they know he can just kick all their asses. And that's near the beginning of his journey.

just saw someone accuse fate of not having any buff men which like. i accept that there’s a lot of valid criticisms or even just elements that make the franchise personally unappealing for a lot of people, but that is just a straight-up “tell me you know nothing about the series without saying you know nothing about the series” take. this person has seen one genshin fan too many calling their anaemic pretty boys ‘bara’, then maybe they saw one picture of karna or twinkgamesh and assumed that fate was exactly the same.
this person has never seen a berserker in their life.

I’m so FUCKING sick of how Marvel’s dumb ass version of Thor is accepted as an undeniable truth when Marvel does such a poor job showcasing Thor accurately. Marvel Thor and Thor From Norse Polytheism are so different.
My English teacher had us watch Marvel’s Thor that way we could compare and contrast Thor and Beowulf. I did that. She wanted us to compare and contrast Marvel Thor with Beowulf. I compared and contrasted Norse God Thor with Beowulf instead. I’ll probably be in trouble for not following directions, but I don’t care. I will not spread misinformation on Thor by writing how Marvel portrays him.
