- Loves affection but usually only in private, unless he hasn’t seen his s/o for long

- Lots of hugs

- Seems like he’d lean down and kiss their s/o’s hand

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

- They would be an interesting friend

- I feel like he’d run into somewhere and just be instantly taken with you

- And you’d ’accidentally’ run into each other a few more times and start talking

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

- Definitely a cuddler

- Likes cuddling after a long day

- He can be very secretive

- He really loves you but he thinks for the sake of everyone some secrets need to be kept

- If you’re sick expect him to be right there with you

- He’d definitely have experience with sickness given his current fragile human body

- He’d also be in a hazmat suit masked at least because as much as he loves you, he’s not entirely sure if his human body could handle another sickness

- Also the reason he probably doesn’t give or take affection while you’re sick, if you try to kiss him he’ll probably run away

- Makes you food definitely, mainly soups because that’s the food he heard other people associate with sickness

- So if you’re sick, all you’re getting is soup and porridge for breakfast, lunch, and dinner

- Won’t let you get out of bed unless it’s to go to the bathroom, it doesn’t matter how sick you are

- Will get you anything and everything you need and ask for no hesitation

- He will do anything for you

- If you didn’t have a TV in your bedroom he’s either moving the one from the living room there or buying you a completely new one so you don’t get bored

- If you prefer books he’d buy you the whole bookstore, which has definitely happened before and you now have to explicitly tell him which books you want and not to buy out the whole store if it isn’t there

- Overall, he cares for you and will do anything to get you better soon <3

Warnings: Slight angst to fluff

It was a small flower shop you worked at. Quaint, as most would describe it. But it had a homely feel to it. Sunlight shone through the windows during day time, casting its honey glow on the plants inside, shinning off the glow of the dewdrops resting on the leaves. The serenity of the afternoon was yours to enjoy, as it had been a rather slow day today. After one of your regulars came by, buying his daily bouquet of flowers for his wife, there hadn’t been anyone else quite yet.

Just as you were lulled into a state of calm, a man entered. He was almost rather peculiar. He dressed as if he belonged in a somehow more pompous version of a marching band, or perhaps a dictator. A tuft of his blonde hair stuck out, almost like a shark fin. It was almost cute.

He looked over at me and our eyes locked, and for a moment your breathe was caught in your throat. However then, the moment ended, and he went back to perusing through the selection. A while passed until he came over to the counter, empty handed. You peered over at him curiously, wondering what he could possibly want from you.

“Do you have any red crocosmia?” He questioned, his tone was gentle yet it still had commanding undertones to it.

You responded to him, telling him you didn’t have any, but that you could get some imported in and could call him once they were here if he were to give you his name and number. And that’s how you ended up with his contact info, for work of course.

Once he came in to pick them up, he kept coming back almost every day, and you began to look forward to his visits. He was pleasant to talk too and he took interest in the things you liked and asked about them, never forgetting anything you told him. Soon enough, he asked you to get to know each other more at a coffee place which soon became a regular meet up spot for the two of you.

You liked him, loved him even, and you were going to tell him. Today. As you made your way over to your regular meet up spot, you saw something that you wished you never would have seen. It was your coworker with Lucifer. She was sitting where you sat and her hands were resting on top of his, giving them a little squeeze.

You felt your heart break into pieces as you turned and left. You were so stupid. You had only spent time with him yourself, never with someone else. You hadn’t even asked if he was taken or liked someone else. God you felt stupid. What if he only spent time with you to get with her. As you ran away you felt your airways constrict and block up as you seemingly choke on air. And that was the day you coughed up your first petal, red and layered with blood a similar shade on top. Red crocosmia.

The following few days, you take sick leaves from work, trying to figure out the cause and reason for your sudden ailment, which only seemed to get worse everytime you thought of the blonde. Finally you went to the doctor, only to hear the news, that you were dying. Your ailment, Hanahaki, could only be cured by confessing to the person you love, and having them return your feelings. Or, having a surgery done to remove your feelings entirely.

You had six months to ponder your decision, as you tried to desperately avoid the boy you were so in love with. Why on earth had you ever decided to work here, why on earth did you even take this job? You’d go in the back room, or to the bathroom when you saw Lucifer approaching the store, only leaving when he was gone.

Two months. That was how long you’d been avoiding this man so far. You would’ve made it longer, had he not come on Valentine’s Day. You were swamped with customers and there was no escape as he walked up to you. Taking your hand in his and asking if you could talk. You would have refused if your coworker hadn’t shown up and shoved you away. Now there really was no escape at all.

“Why are you been cutting me out?” Lucifer asked, something like hurt or desperation in his tone, perhaps a mix of both. He seemed almost more frail since you had last seen him, though he was just as beautiful as ever. You really did love him. You were going to die anyways, so what’s the harm in telling him really? So maybe spurred by your impending death, or maybe by the cutesie couples all around you, you let it all out.

“Because I love you. Because I love you so much that I’m dying for it. And there’s nothing I can do to make you love me back.” With that you got it all off your chest. And with that, your lungs constrict as you painfully reminded yourself of him and your coworker, who was probably just being a good girlfriend by letting him talk to you. Why did you even-

Your thoughts were cut off as his lips were pressed to yours. Your lungs seemed a thousand times lighter as you got lost in the sensation of his lips against your own.

“I love you. Only you” He said, as he pulled away from you. Before you could panic at the fact that your coworker was standing right there and you had just kissed her boyfriend, Lucifer explained everything.

“The only reason I was spending time with her, was to make a plan to ask you out. I wanted her input since you both seemed to be friends.”

Your face was stained red now, embarrassed at the misunderstanding. You nearly died because of your assumptions, and he really didn’t deserve to be ghosted. As you opened your mouth to apologize to him, for everything, he cut you off.

“I was hoping, since it’s Valentine’s Day, that you would like to spend the rest of the day with me?” He asked gently, a light dusting of pink on his cheeks. Adorable. Looking over to your coworker, who gave you a thumbs up, you agreed. A day with Lucifer, what more could you possibly want?

Maybe working at the flower shop, and meeting him, wasn’t such a bad idea after all.

- He’d propose in one of two ways

- 1) A romantic date he planned in advance because you deserve nothing but the best

- 2) You nearly died, due to probably some other demons or because someone found out you were dating him and he proposed to you as soon as you were awake, he’d still take you out on that fancy romantic date though.

- Once you’re engaged, he starts planning your wedding immediately, with you of course

- He gives his opinions on things but makes sure all the final decisions are up to you, unless you’d rather him do it then he gladly will, but will make sure you’re okay with everything

- If you do the white traditional, bride can’t see the groom before the wedding he will try to respect that but then get too antsy without you and try to sneak in

- Wedding would definitely be small and private on his end of the guests but would be fine with you inviting whoever he wants, even if it’s someone he hates, he’ll be cordial on his wedding day, only for you

- Once you two are married and/or move in together he’d be very much so a domestic husband

- He’d cook for you, clean for you, and if he didn’t want to and you didn’t want to, he’d have some demon minions do it for him, he’s the second most powerful demon, so why not take advantage of that for his love?

- Very lovey dovey, the constant gifts and trinkets would not stop after you get married, quite the opposite actually

- Expect large gestures more often, he feels as though since you’re his spouse, he must spoil you even more now

- Extra Protective 🙌

- Not to an overbearing point though, he still lets you have your freedom unlike some

- Physical touch gets more commonplace

- Expect welcome back hugs

- Nighttime and movie time cuddles are absolute essentials as well

- Not like smotheringly obsessively so, but he always has either an eye on you all or when he absolutely can’t do it himself he’ll send one of his most trustworthy underlings instead. He won’t restrict you from going anywhere, but will talk to you if he reasonably thinks an area is pretty dangerous.

- He always makes sure to come home on time and spend as much time as possible with you and the children

- Realistically would probably like to have 2-3 children with you if you’d be up to it

- Due to his work in the illuminati, you’d most likely end up spending more time with the children during the beginning of their lives. (Stay at home parent)

- I feel like since Lucifer is the second most powerful demon, and what we see with the children of satan, your children would start to show signs of demonic powers very early on in their lives

- When that happens, Lucifer would be so happy. This man would be ecstatic

- He’d spend a lot of time with the kids and teach them how to control their powers. It would definitely be a fun bonding activity for them that was cute to watch for you

- If you spend a lot of time with the kids, or if its just been a tough day with them, he would gladly take them off your hands for a bit if you needed to take a break. Even if he was in the middle of a lot of work

- You would all definitely go on a lot of cute family outings like little picnics or aquarium trips or just traveling around

- Lots of family quality time and cute little bonding moments. You both secretly have an album chalk full of pictures of each other doing cute things with the kids

- Once the kids start to go to school and if you go to work, you’d all have sweet but hectic mornings and get in the same car. Dropping the kids off first, then Lucifer, and then you take the car to your job. (He doesn’t want the car to accidentally get destroyed or the license plate tagged so people can find you and hurt you)
