The reason fossil are posed like that is (if I remember correctly) because of how muscles will contract on a dead animal like how they curl up

This is Swallowtail, Navigator of her colony (medicine cat) When times are tough Deuil will send her eyes to the struggling to show she is watching.

Her eyes are always safe in this colony, cats that believe in greater power must never harm the animals their colony's god has sent.
