a fun thing to add to your grimoire is your personal correspondences. this can be a section dedicated to the little things that are connected to you and you can use them when tailoring spells or rituals to yourself. think of this like any other correspondence page you would make for a subject (ex. the moon, colors, crystals, herbs, etc.) most of the things i have included down below either come from your birth date or personal preference. my list isn't exhaustive, it's merely a handful of possibilities. i prefer to have my personal correspondence page towards the front of my grimoire along with my beliefs and book blessings because it feels like it really personalizes the book. you can go a step further and include a picture of yourself (printed out or drawn) in this area.

 //

ideas for what to include on a personal correspondence page:

birth chart

birthstone

birth flower

birth tarot cards

birth moon phase

life path numerology

name numerology

favorite herbs

favorite crystals

favorite colors

favorite seasons

favorite tools to use in your craft

favorite flowers

lucky numbers

angel numbers you constantly see

constellations you connect with

moon phases you connect with

elements you connect with

what to put in your grimoire/book of shadows

so this can be a difficult topic to approach, mostly because there are SO MANY things about witchcraft that are easy to forget. i’ll list some simple, common topics to talk about, and bring up some that are often forgotten.

common topics in a grimoire:

wheel of the year.

crystal, herb, candle, colour, etc correspondences.

a good book for this is Grimoire for the Green Witch by Ann Moura (approx $35 CAD). x to buy. very useful even if you aren’t that interested in green witchcraft. covers a wide variety of topics. there’s a site where you can download the pdf, but i’m not sure if it’s reliable so i’m not linking it.

deities and deity work.

basics

how to find your deity

different types of witches and witchcraft.

9 types of witches

how to start your journey

moon phases and esbats.

spells, prayers and chants.

altar information.

creating an altar vid, travel altars vid

dreams.

scrying: mirror, tarot, water, crystal, pendulums etc.

pendulums vid

elements and directions.

manifestation.

meditation.

cleansing.

grounding.

banishing/protection.

sigils.

circle casting.

essential oils and incense.

visualization.

some uncommon topics for your grimoire:

smaller forms of magick: hair magick, makeup magick, knot magick, animal magick.

hair veiling vid

astral projection.

spirit work: even if you aren’t interested in trying it, it’s good to research, for safety purposes.

the fae: for the same reason as above. it’s good to know even if you don’t plan on working with them.

days of the week and their correspondences.

planet correspondences.

sources of energy.

alchemical symbols and alchemy

x

actually how to create a spell and create sigils. it’s okay to use other people’s but it can be very good to have your own reference and create your own sigils. write down and attempt multiple ways, to figure out which kind you like.

herbs specifically for tea and medicinal purposes.

write down some small and easy daily witchcraft tasks for yourself.

x

notes on ramble journaling and shadow work.

intro to shadow work vid

ramble journaling

daily practices for growth and healing vid

cleansing magickal containers.

notes on how your feeling during different moon phases. lots of people overlook this, but full moons and new moons especially can mess with your mood. it varies from person to person. i usually feel more spiritual on full moons and on new moons i feel unmotivated.

different KINDS of meditations: releasing fears, past lives, unguided ones and guided ones, nature based, etc.

amulets and totems.

reading tea leaves.

x

pouches/satchels and spell jars. such a simple form of spell crafting but so many people overlook it. i like it more than verbal ones because my mind processes visuals better, and it feels more natural to me.

divination symbolism. so many people research and learn how to find images in things but never really look into what they find.

palmistry.

✨Weekly Witchy Questions!✨

Here are a few questions to get your witchy brain juice flowing! Feel free to answer in the comments or in a reblog or use these questions in your personal witchy journal <:

Weekly Witchy Questions!

🌟What is your goal for your craft this week?

🌟If you could learn any form of divination automatically, which would it be and why? (Bonus: What is stopping you from learning this normally?)

🌟Do you believe in psychics? Why or why not?

🌟How would you describe your tarot/oracle/cartomancy reading style?

🌟Do you keep track of your magical workings? (like a grimoire, book of shadows, witch journal, magic journal, etc) Why or why not?

🌟If you were to choose a "witch name" or "magic name", a name you go by in magical circles only, what would it be and why? If you already have one, how did you come to this name?

🌟How much science makes its way into your craft?
