one of the worst parts of being a dsmp fan in 2020-2021 was when ppl who weren’t in the fandom didn’t differentiate between the dream team side of the fandom and the sbi side of the fandom and just assumed we were all foaming at the mouth for dnf

but i still see fanart. i still read fanfiction.
because the dsmp to me is more about what the fans made it into. not all the drama and discourse.
sbi found family fanfiction got me through some of the worst years of my life
it was really bad when i learned to just straight up lie about my interests because i knew a lot of people would look down on me for it
