I realize that So Much happened last episode that this probably got drowned out in the grand scheme of plot points and backstory, but i just wanted to point out how meaningful and profound Ashton’s defence of FCG was. I dont really know how to put into words how loud his actions spoke, but the way he so forcefully demanded they cut him down from the rope…. Yeah. He’s advocating for him in such a loyal, genuine way, and FCG deserved that advocacy!! Orym said everything Ashton was trying to and didnt have the words for.

and Dancer saying "How did you find me.
What do you want from me."

The scariest, most blood-curdling aspect of C3E31 to me was how small and submissive FCG sounded when they got in touch with Dancer. I could swear Sam physically shrank. Those were not speech patterns of somebody who expects to be afforded full personhood.
From meeting Esmer, I get the feeling that Dancer, at her worst, treats people as things. Unlike Esmer, a little robit doesn’t know how to contradict her.
What destroyed me was Ashton grappling FCG and just going “that’s enough buddy” THEY MEAN SO MUCH TO ME!? THEIR FRIENDSHIP IS EVERYTHING???
And then Ashton continuing to defend Letters afterward, practically growling at Fearne to heal him, sticking up for them at every moment he could, getting visibly upset when the others made comments they thought would upset him. Their friendship, while the moments few and far between, is my favorite thing about this campaign.
Also shout out to Laudna and Imogen. Laudna for feeling horrible for nearly taking out Letters all by herself, it’s okay Laudna we love you! And to Imogen for always being right behind Ashton in caring for FCG.
Someone please get this therapy robot some therapy. And a hug.
