Just had a mental breakdown, so....I am going to write headcanons on how the beloved pumpkin husbands calm each other down.

•Schlatt is usually pretty calm. The difficulties are there only when he drinks too much. During this time he can either get frustrated, having an emotional breakdown or aggressive. This is why he and Quackity already communicated about it. Quackity usually just leads him to a quiet room and leaves as soon as Schlatt asks him to. The ram hybrid then usually yells and breaks something that is lying in the wrong place. It takes an hour or more for him to calm down and Quackity is then waiting near the door. He proceeds to ask how his husband is feeling and if he can enter the room. If the answer is positive, he enters. Mostly Schlatt is already sitting on the floor, heavy breathing. Quackity checks his hands and knuckles, knowing that he could have damage them, kisses him and leaves many kisses on his face, earning at least a weak smile. He whispers sweet nonsense in Spanish, it's strange, but it seems to calm his husband down more, so he doesn't question it. The following time would only contain cuddles and sweet whisper, that is interrupted just by some drunk nonsense or apologies, which Quackity tries to shush, gently cupping the others face, making sure to make his love know that everything is alright and that they can make it work together. Nothing to be sorry for. Nothing to be ashamed for.

•Whenever Quackity is having a bad time, be it because of bad memories, recent events, pain from the scar and nightmares, Schlatt tries to be as close to him as possible. He is not leaving. Even if he needs to get water or anything else, he usually takes his lover with him or even carries him. Quackity doesn't weight much, being an avian, so that's not a problem and it makes the young hybrid chuckle every time. In this case, it's more a situation of "listen and let him talk". Schlatt will ask what exactly is wrong and only let Quackity speak, giving only more questions, letting his duckling be more specific about anything that is bothering him. During that the ram hybrid will gently rub his back, give praises, because he knows how hard it can be for his husband to be that open about his feelings, make sure that Quackity stays hydrated and makes sure that his beloved knows just how much he loves him. No matter what happens or happened.
