Oh yes💵💵💵 Cameron is rich but he's old money rich. Comes from a financier/law/medical family background. Extremely rich grandparents, a caring dad who is a multimillionaire surgeon and physician. He is a trust fund heir.

Cameron doesn't have that cruel personality compared to the Popular Clique. He's only friends with Sam, Moon, Yasmine and a male OC of mines in the popular Clique. As for him and Kyler...I wouldn't call them friends. Nor are they enemies (at least not now)
Kyler just associates with Cameron due to his popularity in West Valley High. But Cameron doesn't treat others like shit.
How did Cameron become best friends with Robby if they both live in different parts of LA and are in very different Socioeconomic classes?
Cameron's dad decided to take Cameron out more to decrease his isolationist mindset in childhood and took him out of private elementary school.
Cameron first meets Robby in Soccer due to them having a passion for the sport. Robby is the one to introduce and initiate a friendship with Cameron who at the time was very introverted and shy. Cameron's dad decided to allow Cam to attend public school to have more friends but that led for Cameron to develop a closer friendship with Robby and then, their friendship become a special, unbreakable bond.
In regarding to how they are best friends due to their different lifestyles, Cameron isn't judgemental, nor did Robby felt uncomfortable with his friend's upper class life. (Although he was surprised by Cam's lavish setting in Encino Hills)
As they got into middle school, Robby visited Cameron's house almost every day (this would've been the time Shannon had started to neglect and abandon him with various men). Cameron's dad, being a compassionate adult, treats Robby as his second son and doesn't mind Robby sometimes staying over because he, like Cam, sees Robby's genuine nature.
There was no limit for Cameron to visit Robby's apartment in North Hills, and vice versa with Robby visiting Cameron in Encino

Here is Chapter 3 of Vulnerable. A filler birthday chapter of Cameron's upper class lifestyle with wholesome moments and also a tense dialogue near the end. Gotta have some sort of drama!

I read Chapter 3 of Vulnerable, and I actually like the way you wrote out everything in regards to how lavish Cameron lives and going all out on his birthday in a Bel Air Mansion. But how this is gonna affect the story in terms of his friendships?
Chapter 3 was full of lavishness wasn't it? Lol🤣
But honestly speaking, I took inspirations from Crazy Rich Asians, Sex and Vanity, Dynasty and Gossip Girl when writing this chapter since these 4 series/novels rotate around wealth, upper class and elitism. Cameron's lifestyle and upper class upbringing are based on Nicholas Young's upbringing minus the whole intermarriage with 3 clans.
(That is with the Lawrence-Weinsberg-L'Etoile clan in my fanfic AU which I will post soon with my Karate Kid AU fanfic)
But yes Cameron lives lavishly thanks to his grandparents wealth that has generated and has been passed on. Plus Cameron's dad is a well known surgeon and physician who made his own grand fortune. Cameron is used to this since he goes to numerous parties and in his earlier childhood period he grew up around his grandparents hosting parties and regal banquets in their Encino Hills manor.
How this affects the story is the negative and tense dialogue between him and Kyler. It is noted in the story that Cameron doesn't like Kyler and part of him blames himself for becoming popular😢😢 because it made Kyler associate with him and boosts his own popularity. This will affect the story starting the next chapter with rumors of Cameron's and Kyler's "fallout"
Wait Robby calls Cameron 'Alejandro' at the end of Chapter 3. Is that his middle name?
P.S I adore the close friendship dynamic Robby and Cameron share by calling each other their middle names!
Ah yes. The thing these two have is calling each other by their middle names🤣 but yes Cameron's middle name is Spanish. Cameron is half Caucasian and half Argentinean. However Sebastian (Cameron's dad) wanted to have his middle name Travolta due to Cameron watching Grease while he was growing up. (Cameron loves Grease😭😭)
But sadly, he was given Alejandro by his mother and that was documented in his birth certificate. But Cameron and Robby have a very close friendship since childhood, as stated and seen in the beginning of the story. I have bigger plans to write out their friendship in the story.
