With my chest-deep-in-medic-main-waters position, I'd just like to say that I accidentally call for medic all the time too so I have no qualms with healing you a little if you call, just to be sure. No heal like overheal anyway. If that extra bit of health helps you get in one extra shot I'll take it.

(Also if you're one of the classes with reasonably high damage output I'll take full health + call for medic as a sign you wanna be pocketed for whatever risky play you wanna do next and I will absolutely stick to you for the next 3 seconds minimal before I get distracted by the need to heal someone else)
