Cancer Sucks - Tumblr Posts
To my beloved fandom;
A lot of you know me as PhoenixRose314, Tumblr's fandom mom and ineffable author of Don't Fall Away From Me and There Is A Light & It Never Goes Out. This fandom has been such a source of joy for me and has kept me going through some really difficult and dark times, but right now my world is absolutely falling apart.
Through circumstances beyond my control (health reasons - cancer and anxiety and depression), I was let go from my job a few months ago and my children and I can no longer afford to rent our lovely home in our lovely village. This has been incredibly hard for me to accept but once my lease is up I will have run out of savings and my kids and I will no longer have a place to call our own.
I am famously awful at asking for help, however this amazing fandom has convinced me to start this crowdfunder to try and raise enough money to try and buy a small park home or caravan for myself and the kids. It won't be much, but it will be ours, and nobody can take it away from us. I'm currently in the process of selling all my collectibles, furniture and worldly goods to try and raise some of the money myself, but anything you could donate to give my family some stability would be appreciated from the very bottom of my heart.

I hate that it has come to this, I feel so much shame and guilt for being in this position, but I better than anyone know that circumstances can change on a dime, and I hope that all the good and kindness (and fanfiction!!) I've put out into the world might come back to me now.

Good morning ineffable fandom 💜
Yesterday I was lucky enough to go and see Hozier in Finsbury Park. My friend had bought me the tickets for Christmas, and refused to let me sell them and insisted I go and try to have to a good time. Anyway. When I was listening to I, Carrion, I sort of lost it a bit. Because between that song and GO S2, Don't Fall Away From Me was born. And it made me think about how lucky I am to have all of you, how a year ago I couldn't have imagined belonging anywhere, much less somewhere so full of kindness and compassion and love.
My crowdfunder to help buy a caravan to keep my kids and I off the streets surpassed the £9000 mark yesterday! At the time of posting on 8th July, the current total is £9,721.
I am so blown away by the generosity and kindness of all of you. Not just donations, but people who help in other ways; by reblogging, by sharing on Twitter where I don't have much reach, and those who have decided to read my fanfics and leave comments... it's brought so much comfort to me at a time when everything feels so hopeless.
As promised, because we went past the £9000 mark, Finley has drawn you this lovely picture of our ineffable duo!!

Hello beloved ineffable fandom 💜
It has been just over 24 hours since I swallowed my pride and posted my Crowdfunder to try and keep my kids and I off the streets.
In that time, I have cried a spectacular amount, because never in a million years could I have imagined the outpouring of love from people I have never even met, or the sheer generosity of a fandom who are going through a really terrible time this week. And it's not just the donations that have reduced me to tears, but the amount of reblogs of my original post, some of the tags and comments and things you said about me and my writing... yep I've been an absolute emotional wreck. I will never ever be able to thank you or repay you for your kindness.
Thanks to YOU (yes not just the people that donated, but the wonderful amazing people who reblogged and spread the word), 40% of the total has already been raised in just one day!
