nearly fell into a reading slump because woohee short attentions spans amiright? i'm fading in-and-out of it, but i'm giving my best. kind of. maybe. not really honestly, but it's the effort that's important.
mellors' writing is kind of 50/50 for me and the plot is moving slower than i expected, but there's something about it that's making me all uneasy in a sense? like i have a feeling that there's gonna be surprise in the end, a plot twist maybe. so that's why i'm sticking around still.
haven't made any good progress on crime and punishment just yet, but I'll get to finishing a couple chapters on it after blue sisters. classical books are just not my cup of tea, i'm afraid (i say while having 6 classical books stuffed in the bottom of my closet)
anyways, happy pride everyone <33 i wish i made this month's tbr be pride-themed, but oh well, there's always next year!
this is pearl, signing off
blue sisters is so random, it's like-- one moment it's a woman is flashing lucky and making a puppet show out of her tits, then the second moment avery is just going through some shit.
it's sporadic?? it's sad, pathetic and funny. some parts makes me cringe but towards some of the side characters?? background characters?? i don't know the difference between them. just-- wow.
it's still not my exact taste but mellors is good at depicting grief.
finally picked up crime and punishment again after, what, 3 days of rest?
i forgot how comic raskolnikov is. everytime he speaks, it urges me to laugh, everytime he does something, there's something within me that wishes to plunge my hands inside the pages and strangle him. he's so silly and pathetic at the same time.
he's probably my favorite character of all time. how i wish to throw him around like a doll
finished blue sisters. it broke me so bad. please someome hold me. actually no, i need to hug my sister immediately because i miss her so bad and i missed being her sister
