nightmare has four ears, four tails, and is a polydactyl, yet only has one eye. four ears is a real genetic defect but i don’t think four tails ever existed in a cat. whatever. this essentially made people not want him at the shelter he and dream were at, and he was returned many times. dream, on the other hand, is a beautiful golden maine coon that everyone wants. but they’re a bonded pair, so when someone wants to adopt dream, they have to adopt nightmare too. nightmare’s fur, as he’s grown, has gotten inexplicably darker, from a light lilac to near-black, and he lost an eye after escaping from the shelter one night.
fresh is some fuckass weird orange cat. if you’ve ever had, or even known an orange cat you know why it’s fitting, painfully so. he’s also absurdly bright orange, 2007 firestar style. appears and disappears at random. has a brightly colored suit on. a hat and sunglasses too. nobody knows how he got them or how they stay on
dream, ink, and swap are shelter cats whose goal is to help stray pets get adopted, meanwhile nightmare (who eventually left the shelter for whatever reason and lost his eye) and his group of mistreated strays (killer, dust, and horror) try to convince cats to stick with them and not be disappointed by the evil people have or whatever.
lust is a sphynx cat with tons of sweaters. he’s a local housecat who manages to get outside when his owner’s at work, and often hangs out with the stars.
cross was supposed to be adopted but got lost somehow the day before, and joined nightmare’s group. he feels a sense of entitlement to a warm home and blanket like he was promised, and just about to get, but was robbed of. maybe he was supposed to get adopted with a cat he was bonded with, epic, and he’s trying to get back to him???idk crepic’s been taking over my life lately
