Back at home and I immediately retried cranberry loaf! The college ovens tend to run hot and I always forget that so my first attempt at this recipe was very… dry.

This time around it went off without a hitch! Except for when I asked my mom if it’s worth pulling out the food processor or just chopping the cranberries and she said use the emersion blender, and I… listened to her for some reason. So the berries were pulverized, and the thing was honestly more annoying to clean than anything else.

All in all though, this is a nice light less sugary bread on the crumbly side with pops of good tanginess. It was gone by the end of the night. Would’ve preferred larger cranberry chunks tho

The app I keep recipes on stopped letting me edit recipes for some reason so I undownloaded it and redownloaded it at like 1am completely forgetting that most of that shit wasn’t synced.

Moral of the story don’t delete shit between the hours of 9pm and 6am 🙃

I can retake pics of all the recipes easy (minus one or two I edited profusely,,, like my pumpkin cheesecake, or granola ratio) but it’s the pics of the food that are just GONE. Most of them weren’t saved to my phone.

And thus starts my baking achievement hunter journey this summer as I scramble to redocument my favorite recipes.

And since I’m bored I’m gonna be posting about it.

Sticky toffee pudding cake for my brothers birthday! Not the prettiest but absolutely delicious.

Oddly enough this one was baked using the cake setting on our rice cooker. Worked quite well and came out super satisfyingly.

This recipe is what made me grudgingly accept that dates are good sometimes.

And on the topic of birthday cakes, here’s my black forest cake back from winter that is similarly ugly yet positively scrummy!

Actually forget that last shit, so we’re remodeling our shitty kitchen and my mom is going to have the contractors move this big cabinet counter thing into the dining room cus she hates it, but it’s now the end of the night, kitchen stuff is all packed away all over our ding room, and I was just looking at it….. ant like……. So anyways we’re just gonna hafto flip this guy over or maybe destroy it bc even if we do horizontal him he won’t be able to maneuver diagonally until we trash our fuckass island. Which I guess destroying the lowered edge of it can’t be that hard, it’s like a crooked wheelchair accessible no one else assceasible muffin top of my nightmares

The cake itself is a bit dry bc I cooked it in a rice cooker (our new oven needs a new part) and bc I halved the syrup as to not use up all my dads cherry liqueur and then didn’t fully make up the difference with luxardo syrup. But it’s still good!! I definitely needed an extra cup of whipped cream for my sanity tho.

Howdy! I’ll admit I don’t remember what got me started following you, but welcome to mutual-ship anyhow!

Soul eater was like my favorite thing ever all throughout my tweens and teens so like I definitely recommend it. It’s a great balance of humorous and cool, and spooky vibes without being super dark. Can’t recommend a series with a kickass female protagonist and her failboy partner enough!

That said tho, while evidently from my most recent post I am still very nostalgic for it, I haven’t watched soul eater in years and maybe teenaged Shiv’s taste was a little different than current Shiv’s,,,,,

For more crunchy advice: The anime strays from the manga around three quarters of the way through. And while there is fun things in those last episodes, you can kinda tell by the end that it was a rushed thing they just made up. The anime can totally stand on its own if you want, but you could also dip into the manga after—because the anime only covers about one quarter of the manga. There’s a lot of things that get fleshed out much better in the manga, so I personally was itching to get to know the world and characters more. The authors a bit of a pervert tho, and that bleeds into the story in really annoying ways. The anime toned down the fanservice and mostly kept it to one adult character (outside of the first three episodes).

But don’t let all that deter you!! It’s a real fun show with a great protagonist duo, a slightly different art style—which is always a breath of fresh air to see—and a really interesting soundtrack. I tend to waffle between sub and dub for things but I personally really like the dub for this one!
