lol yeah, my dad was crazy and limited our contact with the outside world in order to further his control over us. Too bad the moron didn't think about NPR on the radio or all the history books he gave me.

Every day I see people get on this website and am retroactively grateful that my parents limited screen time and didn't get us any video game consoles. Sure my 90s kid memories are mostly of the weird mini games in Encarta and of PBS rather than Mario and Nickelodeon and this was hell on me socially, but by God I don't have to rest on gifted kid who doesn't know anything laurels
