I genuinely really really appreciate that cyberpunk’s trans characters don’t face any adversity due to their transness. That’s something that happens in real life constantly. I face it. It’s realistic, if you will, but it’s good as fuck to see characters not deal with it. 2077 is a horrible year to be alive. Night City is a horrible place to live. I'm sure people are still transphobic because it's something that will likely never go away no matter how far in the future it is, but god, is it nice to not see it.

Claire and Jago both face adversities in their respective missions. But it has nothing to do with them being trans. It’s because they’re competition, and they’re fierce competition. Both of them are successful and respected, and seeing this in Jago especially was something that led me to accepting that I was trans after struggling with this realization for a very long time. It's a minute detail in the grand scheme of cyberpunk 2077, but portraying trans people as successful and respected will always be incredibly, incredibly important.
