“Draco!” Goyle yelled at his friend, trying to get his attention.
“What?” Draco asked snapping his attention back towards his friends.
“We’ve been trying to get your attention for a while.” Crabble explained to an annoyed Malfoy.
Goyle nodded in agreement to said explanation. “You were staring again.” He gave Draco a knowing but also teasing look.
Draco narrowed his eyes at the two other slytherins before shaking his head in disagreement. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Yes, you do.” Crabble laughed
Goyle smiled “She’s beautiful. We can all see it. Hell, anyone with eyes can see it.”
“So why don’t you go over and ask her out instead of just admiring?” Crabble added to Goyle’s statement.
“I can not.” Draco sighed
“If it’s because she’s a Hufflepuff just like her brother I swear Malfoy-” Goyle grumbled, before getting cut off.
Draco shook his head ‘no’. “It’s not because of that.”
“If it’s because of your parents, Draco-” Crabble started
“Not them either. I could care less about either of those things when it comes to her.” Draco spoke while taking another glance towards the younger Diggory sibling.
“Then whats keeping you from her? From getting the girl.” Goyle asked, both boys now confused at what was holding their friend back.
“Well for one, Cedric. Her brother is extremely protective of her.” Draco growled but at the same time, he understood the sibling thing.
“He’s her brother. He’s going to be protective of her.” Crabble stated.
“What’s the other reasons?” Goyle asked spurious to see if the Draco Malfoy could come up with anything else.
“Why would she want to be with me? With the way, I’ve treated people, and being Slytherin.” Draco asked although it came out more like a statement.
“Seriously?” Crabble asked in shock really, of his friends stupidly.
“Those are your reasons?” Goyle asked, but then scoffed shaking his head in disbelief. “Malfoy, you watch her enough to know her pretty well.”
Crabble nodded in agreement with Goyle. “For someone who hasn’t said more than a few words to the girl.”
“My point is, you know how she reacts to things. To people. Do you really think that she would judge you on rumors and how bad you use to be? Let alone the fact that your Slytherin? You know she would never judge you for that either.” Goyle stated, staring the Malfoy boy straight in the eyes.
Draco sighed “Others will judge her because of me.”
“If you both fall in love with eachother do you really think she’d care about that?” Crabble asked, already knowing the answer.
“She won’t care and you know it! And that’s what scares you.” Goyle spoke in a stern voice, poking Draco in the chest.
“Are you two done?” Draco shoved Goyle’s hand away and grumbled under his breath at the two idiots he considers friends. Even though he knows they’re correct.

“Oh! I’m so sorry!” Y/n exclaimed as she bent down to pick up her books and gather her other belongings that had spilled.
“It’s ok, Y/n.” Draco waved it off before bending down to help her collect her things.
“Are you coming to class? I didn’t think you had potions on Wednesdays?” Y/n asked glancing up at the boy across from her, recognizing just by his voice alone it was Draco.
“I-I didn’t, but they moved me to Wednesdays for reasons I was not told of.” Draco stuttered a bit answering her question.
Y/n added smiling at the Slytherin boy “Ah, well I’m glad your in it, now.”
“Really?” Draco asked curiously.
“Yeah. Hey, say would you like to sit together?” Y/n added trying to hide her blush.
Draco smiled before expecting her offer. “Uh-uh sure. Yeah, I’d like that.”
With that the two-headed off to class together. Maybe this could be the in Draco needed.

It was a couple of weeks later when Draco, Goyle, and Crabble were walking down the halls when a certain Hufflepuff yelled out.
“Malfoy!” Cedric yelled down the slightly busy hallway.
“Bollocks.” Crabble cursed
“Bye mate.” Goyle stated as he and Crabble left the hallway as fast as they could, just like everyone else.
“Hello, Diggory.” Draco sighed as he turned to face the older wizard.
“What are you planning with my sister?” Cedric spoke, standing as intimidating as possible.
“What are you talking about?” Draco asked with an annoyed tone. Clearly not in the mood to be questioned about his intentions.
Cedric let out a sigh before answering. “I’ve heard about you Draco, now I’m not one to judge but I’ll protect my sister. No matter what. Even if it’s from someone that she really cares about.”
“You can not just keep us apart!” Draco took a deep breath to calm himself so his outburst doesn’t happen again. “I know I haven’t been the best person, and I know the rumors about me. But I promise you Cedric I have only the purest intentions for Y/n.”
“You better, Malfoy.” Cedric sighed hoping that his sister wouldn’t have to experience heartbreak. An hoping Draco meant what he said.

“Hey, I heard Cedric talked to you. Is everything ok?” Y/n asked as she approached Draco outside the castle grounds.
“Everythings fine, Love.” Draco waved his hand at her concerns.
“Are you sure?” She asked again.
Draco nodded “yeah. He was just worried.”
“About what?” Y/n tilted her head
“Me, and you. Together.” he smiled brushing some of her Y/h/c hair behind her ear.
Y/n shook her head “I’m gonna-”
“Don’t. He has a right to be.” He shook his head slightly, in understanding.
“No, he doesn’t. You’re nothing like what people say Draco.” Y/n smiled at him knowingly.
“He doesn’t know that. I don’t mind Y/n. As long as I have you i do not care what others think or say.” Draco explained before continuing on with grabbing his bag like he was before Y/n came down from the castle. An they headed off on their date, leaving the conversation at that. For now.
Ok so. my friend and i were rewatching the harry potter series. we were talking about how Harry should’ve been in slytherin and we made an entire concept for how we would write harry potter. i felt it was simply too good not to share. it’s literally just a bunch of somewhat connecting bullet points, but i might actually write it down in the future.
this came to be after we watched the second one, (mind you i’m an english major and my roommate is an Art history major) and talked about how we personally don’t like that one, and so much could’ve been improved with the chamber of secrets plot in general if harry had been in slytherin. The bullet points start with the first movie.
HARRY POTTER(AKA SLITHERIPOTTER)
Part 1: Childhood/ Hagrid
- vernon and petunia more neglectful, no room “if you don’t bother us we don’t bother you” deal
- when harry was a baby and would cry the fuses would go out
- at age 8, harry gets left at school, walks dejectedly to bus stop. Gets on bus has no money bus driver angry random stranger(LUPINN) pays for ticket.
- harry sits and looks for man to thank him (lupin was behind) doesn’t know where he went
- aunt and uncle afraid of harry. (aunt worse)
- aunt and uncle treat him better in public to be seen normal
- dudley intentionally getting harry in trouble, mommy complex. notices mom is nicer to him when she gets mad at harry.
-Aunt is an alcoholic, afraid of her nephew. aunt feels melancholy for her sister.
- harry shows symptoms of ADD(Attention deficit disorder) and GAD(Generalized anxiety disorder)
-Dudley’s birthday at zoo still happens. harry still talks to snake there. afterward harry locked in room.
- Dudley first sees harry’s letter, and reveals to parents. Excess of letters happens, Harry locked out of house in retribution.
HAGRID’S ENTRANCE:
- harry walks to park, hears motorcycle, flips tf out bc yknow, it’s flying.
- hagrid finds harry+ introduces him to the wizard world
-Gringotts still happens
-harry and hagrid go to train together. Hagrid and harry wave.
PART2 :THE TRAIN AND SORTING
- ron and harry bump heads, (harry leaving his lil compartment to find bathroom, ron looking for a seat) ron realizes harry’s identity when seeing his scar.
- harry happy to make a one friend, but confused as to how ron knew who he was
- ron explains legend vaguely
-Trolly shenanigans ensue
-Hermione sees trolly shenanigans(both of their faces are chovered in chocolate) and is disgusted , talks how her parents are dentists.
- hermione sees scar freaks out
-harry and ron slightly dislike hermione
- forces herself into it, hermione keeps asking weird questions, harry confused, hermione leaves
- “i’m so excited for sorting i want gryffindor” - ron
- harry confused. sorting mentioned but not much
- harry still doesn’t know his hair is messed up, notices draco looking at him. looks at him then looks away bc mcgonagall is there.
- as they’re going up the stairs, Ron explains houses. Loves Gryffindor, slytherin worst of worst(evil if you go to syntherin.) hufflepuff kind, ravenclaw smart
SORTING:
- Mcgonagall sorting people, draco making his way through the crowd for harry with crabbe and goyle following. Harry sees.
-when harry walks in the great hall, he feels eyes on him. it’s snape.
- Ron gets called, taps harry”I’ll see you later” energy
-Ron in hufflepuff, confused, can’t make eye contact with harry.
- ron looks over to brothers in gryffindor, (all near eachother) they’re disappointed
-harry really confused
-hermione sorted ravenclaw
-harry gets distracted as he tries to figure out the houses from who he’s seen her sorted into them. Draco gets called up, bumps harry, looks back at harry + eye contact.
- harry called, sorted into syntherin, Malfoy smirks and gestures next to him. Harry is panicking bc of what ron told him earlier
