What if Lance has an Altaria that’s trained as a service Pokemon to calm people down and comfort them. You just sink into the soft fluff and are sung a soothing lullaby. Having a panic attack? It’s hug Altaria time. Altaria cuddles are the cure to depression.

Altaria is constantly snitching on Silver because she can sense when he’s feeling distressed and will stick to him like glue. And Silver has no idea why this Pokemon is nuzzling up to him. Or why Lance is asking him how he’s doing when he told him a million times that he’s fine

Lance doesn’t tell Silver about Altaria being a trained service Pokemon because he knows Silver would get defensive about it. He’d think of it was a sign of “weakness”. So Lance just says Altaria must really like Silver.

Until one day Clair accidentally spills the beans. With the tact of a sledge hammer. She sees Altaria sticking to his side all the time and is like “jeez kid how fucked up are you?” and Silver won’t let her leave until she explains lol. And Lance is like gdi Clair

Silver was secretly touched Altaria liked him so much. Until he found out the real reason why she stuck by him was because she could tell he was stressed tf out. And his feelings are hurt (but he’ll never admit it)

“I’m not upset about it” Silver says as Altaria is still trying to cuddle him despite him pushing her away. “It’s just her doing what Lance trained her to do, she doesn’t actually like me”

But Altaria actually does grow fond of Silver outside her “job”. He’s her baby chick. Eventually Silver will allow the Altaria cuddles, and even seek her out when he’s feeling anxious. Lance gets very emotional when he finds both of them snuggled up together and snoring on the couch and sends a million pictures to Clair and the Elite 4.

I find it hilarious how similar Lance and Silver look. They both have red spiky hair and their skin tones are about the same. In some versions Lance and Silver both have gray eyes too. Nobody is gonna believe Silver’s ass is adopted. They just think Silver is Lance’s secret love child and the adoption is a cover story.

Or even funnier, after the adoption when Lance informs the press about his new son, he’s vague enough in what he says that everyone assumes Silver is Lance’s bio kid that he only recently found out about.

Lance says things like “his previous guardians were unfit, once I was made aware of Silver’s deficient living situation I took him in” and “I’m happy to be a father” and “I ask you to give my son privacy” and such. Not mentioning Silver isn’t his blood son because that is not important, family is who you choose. Lance does not realize that most of Kanto and Johto does not think that way lmao. Thus the secret love child assumption continues.

Imagine Lance not letting Silver watch an R rated movie and Silver is like dude my life is an R rated movie are you kidding me

I have a few actually!

Outside of Masters, the first time they meet is when Lance and Alder both don't wanna leave their respective sons by themselves, so they take them to a league meeting with them.

At first Silver and N are pretty shy with each other cuz they both can't socialise for shit /aff but they start talking eventually with there not being much else to do.

And that's how they learn about their shared trauma of their fathers running an evil organisation and treating their sons like trash!! Yay!!

Naturally they bond a bit more after that, and Silver learns about N's ability to communicate with Pokémon, which he's really shocked by, but also fascinated.

But he also notices how strong of a bond N seems to have with Pokémon, and so he asks for help with bonding with his own. So N shows him a lot of ways he can treat his Pokémon better, and build on their friendship/affection.

Because they live in separate regions, they mainly keep in touch through the Internet, but Alder and Lance also notice how friendly the two are, so they start bringing them to a lot more League meetings, and sure enough, the two actually look forward to seeing each other and hanging out!

They get to have sleepovers whenever Lance and Alder have to stay in a region for a few days for League stuff.

Silver has introduced N to Ethan and Lyra when they were in Johto together once. (They were both shocked to Learn Silver was even capable of making friends /lh.)

They have trauma dumping sessions about their former dad's together. Sometimes Alder/Lance overhear it and get very concerned-
