FINALLY I CAN RAMBLE ABOUT MY GUARDIANS

So i have two of them for now, a solar hunter named Venik and a stasis hunter Nezabud-17.

Venik

Venik is a human solar hunter. She was resurrected at the Tangled Shore and spent a big portion of her life as Spider‘s dark horse. She escaped, thanks to her Eliksni friend - Amiks - and ghost, Rudd-i (and also two other characters whom i have no art of (yet)).

Upon arrival to the Last City, she mainly made glimmer in Crucible, where she met Nezabud-17. Although they became acquaintances, they didn’t have the chance to become friends until Venik rescued Nezabud from the Hive lair on Titan.

(Small fact: after his rescue from the Hive lair, there was some time before Nezabud acquired his prosthetics, so Venik volunteered to help him get around, and did so by giving him piggyback rides)

Tell Me About Your Oc's

Nowadays, Venik main source of glimmer is racing outside of the City and Crucible, although she accepts vanguard missions when paired with Nezabud.

(She also pronounces her Ks and Ss very loudly and distinctively)

Nezabud-17

Nezabud is an ex-solar hunter, who now uses stasis. He was resurrected on Venus and had to hastily get to the Last City, as he and his ghost Fern were noticed by the Vex. In the Last City, Nezabud-17 quickly became full of himself, which led to him making rash decisions, such as:

• almost abandoning his ghost

• using his solar energy in a slapdash manner

• and generally being an ass

All of this almost got Nezabud killed by the Hive, when his solar suddenly gave out, leaving him almost lightless. He was rescued by Venik, and through the series of healing and rethinking his life choices, he managed to get back on his feet and acquire stasis as his new power.

(Small fact: although Nezabud is a stasis user and lives mainly in his base on Europa, he taught Venik how to master her solar abilities, which helped with her spontaneous combusting)

Now, Nezabud-17 is way more humble and approachable, way more considerate of Fern. And also tries to find a way to “win” Traveler’s approval and get his solar abilities back.

(He also has a russian accent. Neither he nor Fern know where it came from.)

Thank you very much for this ask :D

My favorite Destiny worldbuilding/character things that I’ve seen in fanon but not always in canon

Awoken having inhuman, ethereal traits- double irises, sharp teeth, neon blood, veins like constellations, etc

Fallen mouths acting like mandibles and being highly expressive- smiling, growling, just a whole ‘nother layer of motion that adds to their communication

Fallen using their second set of arms while talking, or holding things while doing other stuff

Exos being able to see slightly better in the dark than most humans, or seeing heat signatures instead of visible light like us

Shanks acting like kittens and sleeping in piles. That is all I’m going to say about this, but by the Traveller is it adorable to picture

Ghost nests- Ghosts take pride in building their own nests out of little knickknacks they find, like discarded Hunter cloaks, ramen coupons, and various random materials

Dumb bets during raids and dungeons, with “Speed-running” and “Flawless” challenges being the most popular. Eventually, a VanNet page gets set up with the names and times of the best Fireteams, regularly updated by “an anonymous source” (it’s totally Zav, but he can’t confirm it since it wasn’t created by the Vanguard)

I’M BACK WITH MORE

EXO FANGS. They’re robots, folks, ROBOTS. FUCK ANATOMY, GIVE EM TUSKS N SHIT

The lil moves Ghosts do with their shells is adorable. Spins, flips, eyebrows, whatever

Guardian piles- just communal huddles in the Hangar rafters

Fallen hugs! Four arms are best for cuddles

The tiny happy chirps Vex do sometimes

The horror potential in so many lore threads... SIVA eating your brains; Ahamkara in general; The Taken consuming entire cities overnight, and the survivors seeing the faces of those they lost when they repel the next attack

How jumps work!

Hunters channel Light into our thighs to double-jump which has the side effect of the best hips this side of Jupiter;

Warlocks being lighter than air and their robes acting like parachutes;

Titan jumps aren’t as controllable- they’re more powerful if the Titan is rushing to their teammates’ sides to help... something about that motivation just overcharges their Light

More! More headcanons because I can’t keep my mind still!

Sparrow parks! Places to drive around with buddies and practice flips

SRL, but there’s 3 people on a Pike. One drives blindfolded, one yells directions, and one sits backwards with a scorch cannon. PvP is enabled. Points awarded for kills, finishing placement, and least deaths accumulated

Hunter Dens being places full of chaotic comradeship. Toasts to a successful raid, games of darts, Ghosts being on Rez standby should someone get alcohol poisoning from drinking so much

Ikora runs guided meditation classes in the courtyard. She’s always quietly impressed by how far Titans can reach with their massive shoulder pads

Guardian dates! Going to a scenic overlook in the EDZ and watching fish swim in the lakes; Catching Nessus-frogs; Carving chunks of Dreaming City crystals into necklaces for each other

There’s a VanNet page dedicated to pictures of messed-up Raid Banners. It’s a bit of a tradition that every April 2, Tower Frames have to climb up on the roofs to grab any Banners that pranksters popped up there

A certain pair of Warlocks independently hold seminars for New Lights to tech them about the history of the City. Both of them are known as leading experts in their studies, but most Legacies know to only stay for short periods or just watch recordings on VanNet- one of the Warlocks’ seminars lasted for four hours!

Saint is the head of a bird repopulation and sightings group. He breeds pigeons in his spare time when he isn’t watching over Trials matches (or “hanging out” with Osiris)

My headcannon is Ikora is a lesbian and Cayde is pansexual. Ikora and Cayde are really good friends, but with both being Vanguards, there are often tabloids about them being a thing. So of course Cayde likes to play into this some days, like sneakily figuring out how to hold Ikora's hand in public or asking her to a dinner date. Results vary and oftentimes results in Sundance rezzing Cayde due to a nova bomb or a well placed arc staff when Chalco's nearby. But sometimes they actually do go to a restaurant together for dinner after a long Consensus meeting.

"natsu and lucy are just really close friends!" to you maybe. to me they're doing it sloppy style.

Destiny 2 OC Headcanon:

One of the things that helped Eliza bond with Rasputin was their mutual love of classical music.

My Destiny 2 OCS:

Zhevnâh, Lucent Deserter

Hive Wizard || Stormcaller Warlock

As a daughter of Savathûn, she possessed immense potential and innate magical abilities, shaping her destiny as a formidable Hive wizard. However, unlike her brethren, Zhevnâh chose a different path, defying the expectations placed upon her and turning her back on her hive and her mother.

When she deserted the Lucent Brood, she took her mate and children with her to the Cosmodrone where they currently reside.

Zhevnâh possesses a profound intellectual curiosity, a trait that she has inherited from her mother. She yearns for knowledge and seeks to unravel the mysteries of the universe, delving deep into the lore and secrets that lie hidden within the realms of Light and Darkness. Her insatiable thirst for knowledge often leads her down unexplored paths and drives her relentless pursuit of understanding.

Zhevnâh's relationship with her Ghost, Krekrak, is crucial to her development. Krekrak serves as her steadfast companion and confidant, supporting her through the trials and tribulations she faces. The bond between them is characterized by trust, loyalty, and a shared understanding of their unconventional existence.

In combat, Zhevnâh is a force to be reckoned with. She wields the powers of the Hive with deadly precision, conjuring dark magic and devastating spells to vanquish her foes. Her connection to the Darkness provides her with an innate understanding of its secrets, enabling her to manipulate and twist its power to her will. Despite her proficiency in the dark arts, Zhevnâh is not afraid to incorporate unconventional methods and adapt to unexpected situations.

Mel'keth, the Abyssal Blade

Hive Knight | Mate of Zhevnâh

Mel'keth shares a deep bond with his mate, Zhevnâh, forged through shared experiences and a mutual desire for liberation from the Lucent Hive

His loyalty primarily lies with his mate, whom he cherishes above all else. While he is initially reserved and cautious, his connection to Zhevnâh has unlocked a tender and compassionate side, allowing him to show vulnerability and care for his loved ones.

He wears a tattered, dark crimson cloak that signifies his renegade status and serves as a reminder of his past allegiance.

Mel'keth wields a massive, two-handed Hive sword, infused with the essence of the Hive deities, granting him the ability to channel devastating hive magic through its strikes. He possesses a unique ability to corrupt and manipulate the Light, enabling him to siphon energy from Guardians and repurpose it for his own dark purposes.

Eliza Thornewood

Human | Nightstalker Hunter

Eliza was revived in the Cosmodrone, an old space station within the ruins of Old Russia by a Ghost she later named Virgil.

She bears a striking resemblance to the legendary Iron Lord, Lady Jolder. Her strong, athletic frame showcases a combination of grace and power, reflecting her exceptional combat skills. Because of her striking resemblance to Jolder, she has grown closer to Lord Saladin.

Eliza's combat style reflects her versatile nature as a Nightstalker Hunter. Whether engaged in close-quarters combat or precise long-range attacks, she moves with the fluidity and grace of a seasoned warrior. Her proficiency in the art of the Void allows her to manipulate its energies, conjuring ethereal, purple-tinged bows that strike true with deadly accuracy.

She possesses a stoic and observant demeanor, her piercing gaze reflecting the depths of her knowledge and experiences. She is often found deep in thought, contemplating the intricate interplay between light and darkness, and the delicate balance necessary to preserve the fragile equilibrium of the universe. Her calm and collected nature allows her to make calculated decisions, even in the most chaotic of situations, earning her the respect and trust of her allies.

However, Eliza's bond with Rasputin was not without sacrifice. The loss of the Warmind deeply affected her, leaving her with a lingering sense of grief and a newfound determination to protect humanity at all costs. She strives to honor Rasputin's sacrifice by continuing to fight the encroaching darkness and safeguarding the secrets and knowledge she gained from her connection.

Eliza wears a gold ring with the symbol of the Warmind engraved in it on her right hand as a reminder of her lost partner.
