TW: CSA and vent
I’m meant to be in therapy 2x a week for CPTSD but I have a toxic job lol. So I pay and get a therapy session once every few months as it’s literally all I can afford. Anyways reporting CSA/SA people seem to think it all happens immediately and with nothing but someone’s word and blah blah blah. Like bish im on year 3 of this process and they haven’t even finished collecting my statement let alone doing all the background investigations before any perpetrator is contacted and you get updated like once every few months max. If an accused is contacted about a sa crime that means there has been likely years of investigation and enough proof that they believe it’ll go to court otherwise they just drop the cases like they do with the majority of sa reports even when the detectives/lawyers/police/crim justice system know it happened. Also detectives and all I found out the updated agreed upon researched stats on csa! 1 in 3 girls before age 15 and 1 in 5 boys before age 15. Australia is so great! Children totally have human rights! You’re totally safe!
Anyways if I don’t vent on the internet I’ll have a panic attack in my work toilet lol ✌️I’m just surrounded by solely men over 40, 45 hours a week and have been for years I’m going insane

I do not have any sources, but when I was in my early teens (like 2010) I started looking into them and there was just warnings and whistleblowers all over the place taking about how the creators were grooming and raping children through the site. I'm so sick of being unable to escape gifs, memes, support for Nicki Minaj. I can't even escape it when looking at feminist blogs. This is who she is, this is what she stands for, these are her morals. She supports the rapists of children, the end.
I thought when I was like 4 and up and first played it that Link was actually a girl named Zelda and was just wearing that stuff cuz it's convenient and she just liked to be dressed that way when she'd save the princess. That they were in love with each other and just thought of Zelda's name as "Princess" but I didn't have a concept of sexual orientation, in fact I was a Muslim child
Might get canceled for saying this, but I LOVE that Zelda is so traditionally feminine in EoW. Like, the devs could've made her a rough-and-tumble tomboy, or a super-skilled ninja warrior--and that would've been totally fine. We've had those versions of her character in the past, so it wouldn't have felt disingenuous or anything (btw Nintendo, if you're listening, I'm still holding out for a Sheik game). But instead, they gave us a playable version of Zelda who is sweet and graceful, who wears pretty dresses on her quest to save the world, who collects adorable accessories with magical properties and has a special bond with her beautiful white pony. She's the unanimously adored big sister/mom friend of everyone in Hyrule. She's an unstoppable powerhouse of kindness and problem-solving. And no one belittles her or takes her less seriously for being "girly." She is every bit the hero that Link has been in past titles (and still is in this one), just with a different approach to saving the day. And idk, maybe my brain is just microwaved from too much time on the internet, but I think that's really cool, and not something you see a lot of in adventure games.
