My dad and I once had a disagreement over him using the adage "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
I said, "That's just not true. Sometimes what doesn't kill you leaves you brittle and injured or traumatized."
He stopped and thought about that for a while. He came back later, and said, "It's like wood glue."
He pointed to my bookshelf, which he helped me salvage a while ago. He said, "Do you remember how I explained that, once we used the wood glue on them, the shelves would actually be stronger than they were before they broke?"
I did.
"But before we used the wood glue, those shelves were broken. They couldn't hold up shit. If you had put books on them, they would have collapsed. And that wood glue had to set awhile. If we put anything on them too early, they would have collapsed just the same as if we'd never fixed them at all. You've got to give these things time to set."
It sounded like a pretty good metaphor to me, but one thing I did pick up on was that whatever broke those shelves, that's not the thing that made them stronger. That just broke them. It was being fixed that made them stronger. It was the glue.
So my dad and I agreed, what doesn't kill you doesn't actually make you stronger, but healing does. And if you feel like healing hasn't made you stronger than you were before, you're probably not done healing. You've got to give these things time to set.

I think perhaps one of the worst things about trying to have genuine discussions or genuine conversations with people who are 'antis' is that, in the vast majority of cases, they will immediately jump to the worst possible faith take on absolutely anything you say and will refuse to consider anything else.
For example:
"Thought 'crimes' are not real crimes."
Now, the literal point of this statement is that, legally, you cannot be prosecuted for your thoughts. You can be prosecuted for acting on them, or for plotting to act on them (plotting is an action in itself), but you cannot be prosecuted for actual thoughts themselves.
E.g; I can think about slapping a police officer. If I actually did that would be assaulting an officer and I would, at minimum, get a fine and possibly a few days in a jail cell. But what do I get for just thinking about it?
Well, nothing. Even if I admit that I thought about it, they still can't prosecute me because I didn't actually do anything.
But if I say that statement to anti, immediately they'll launch into accusing me of condoning or endorsing pedophilia, even if the discussion we were having beforehand wasn't related to pedophilia at all. And once the word 'pedophilia' enters the discussion you might as well give up because that's their kryptonite spear and they'll never let go of it.
Which, as someone who genuinely wants to broker a more mutual understanding of each 'side' and a more harmonious co-existence, is incredibly frustrating and disappointing.
“Credits to the owner!!”
…Are the credits in the room with us?? 🤨
DUDE IM CRYING, all I can imagine is when Rodimus, Skids, Swerve starting to talk and watch the liaison from far away about what so hot about the liaison in their native tongue then UPRISE THE ULTRA BLOCKGUS TELLING TO SHUT THIS DOWN OR SO SEA PRIMUS HELP HIM—
( Melly’s Mod Notes: YOU DON’T UNDERSTAND HOW LONG AND HARD I LAUGH EVERY TIME I SEE THIS ASK IN MY INBOX. I THINK THIS IS A REFERENCE TO THIS AND IF IT IS I AM LAUGHING EVEN HARDER.
GUYS YOU NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE SIZES HERE IN SEAFORMERS ARE PRETTY IMPORTANT THANKS TO INTIMIDATION TACTICS AND SURVIVAL INSTINCTS AND JUNK.
The sizes aren’t as ridiculous in normal canon - you’ve got to fuck the fishes somehow - but the depends on the seaformer. Minimers are human-sized. Regular sized seaformers like Rodimus and Drift clock at around 9 - 10 feet so still kinda doable if you’re careful enough. Big bois like Overlord and Fort Max and Ultra Magnus are 12 - 15 which is when you’ve got to get creative or get stupidly horny reckless.
Strange tangent on sizes aside…Can you imagine… what it’ll be like for poor Swerve in this situation? For real please put yourself in this poor merfish’s position:
Here he is, innocently chatting about how pretty the liaison happens to look that they since they’re wearing a cute one-piece instead of the usual diving gear setup. It’s not even a lewd conversation. They all think they look cuter than usual is all and would love to take them out on a date or something.
Then all of the sudden?? This giant column of water rises from the waves??? What the ever loving hOLY-
The liaison’s head snaps to the direction of the piercing shriek, abandoning their work to make their way to sea cave. Their expression of concern and fear giving way to confusion and bemusement when they get a better look of what’s happening.
Ultra Magnus standing at the entrance with his arms crossed and looking so, so disapproving at the parties involved.
Rodimus is long gone at this point, having jumped into the waters and swimming the heck out of there thanks to his survival instincts kicking in.
Skids has somehow managing to climb on one of the stalactites that hang from the ceiling, hanging on for it for dear life while clutching an upside down Swerve in his grasp in his attempt to save his friend.
They ask what’s going on and Ultra Magnus, with the most sombre expression they’ve ever seen, informs them in his grave voice:
“I’m kinkshaming them.” )
Onmy way to college I saw ki mere ghr ke pass ek nya park ban rha hai but waha ki saari dukhane Tod do unhone ab I feel ki kya ye shi hai ki hum ek naya environment bnane ke liye kisi ki daily earning ka source hi uda de... What do you think is right??
'Why were gods portrayed with behaviors similar to humans?'
To make them more human, probably? Giving them sentience, making them feel more human so people can understand. To care, and worship. Otherwise, it's just a still image. Just an idea, or words on a page. It wouldn't have been as important. I mean, tell me of any books out there where the main character is otherworldly and felt on a different plane compared to humans. Like, being sociopathic basically, or "shows no regard for right and wrong and ignores the rights and feelings of others". There's probably something out there, but it's not generally seen often. People wouldn't really like bad characters, y'know? Sociopaths have a negative stigma attached to it, and that'll follow it regardless of who it is half the time. Or, like, they might be too ruthless, in which the reader wouldn't like that character. If they had feelings though, if they felt and they cared and all that, and weren't all entirely perfect, then people might care about them.
Or like, think Monika from DDLC. She gained sentience, was basically the huge big bad that led to all her friends' death, but people don't think about that usually. Yeah, there's 'just Monika', but people also think about the end. Where you heard a female voice, which you assume is Monika. Where you hear her have emotion, where she sings Your Reality, and you feel sympathy for her.
You didn't before though. If you look at her sprites (or basically those still images of a character's appearance in visual novels), there's literally no emotion attached. It's all just so still that you don't find yourself caring about her that much.

If you look at Yuri's, however, you can see there's a lot more. There's poses that give you a little insight to the character, and you can find yourself caring about her and her shy personality.

It's only when Monika shows her less-than-perfect self that the player feels more care towards her. When there's a human voice that can be attached to it, it ends off on a good note, rather than a huge 'hate Monika' campaign, y'know? The song is cute, however a bittersweet goodbye from Monika to the player, but it makes her a lot more likable.
