I've seen a lot of Chaos Emerald related stuff on here (like theories, ocs, headcanons) so I just went, "What if I made them sentient like a few people I've seen did?"

So yeah, there's the form the purple chaos emerald can take

Now, there's the fact that something about this temple was just... different. It's probably not the chaos emerald itself. No, it DEFINITELY wasn't. BUT.

"What if the emeralds were gods?" my mind asked. "Gods without preferences or opinions? Gods that never intervened because they didn't care? Gods that were meant to follow someone's lead?"

My point is...

How about an AU with the Chaos Emeralds actually being gods? How about the purple Chaos Emerald being a god of truth in this AU?

It takes place after Unleashed, after the problem has been fixed. However, it looks like Sonic not only laid a problem to rest, but he also awakened a new one.
