Concubine
Paul Atreides x fem!reader Part II
Word Count:1.6k
Warnings:!SPOILERS! for Dune II, canon typical violence
Summary:"This princess will carry his name and yet, she will be less than a Concubine. She will never spend a moment of tenderness with the man she is tied to. But we who are called concubines - in the eyes of history we will be wivesâŠ"
Part I / Masterlist

She was pretty. You had to give her that. Your gaze closely followed each and every move that the Princess made. You knew that her head must have been chaotic at the moment, going through every possible scenario, how this situation could end. And you also knew that her first and last goal of this day would be to save her fatherâs life and secure the continuous reign of her bloodline.
But from the way she looked at you, you knew that Princess Irulan was aware of the fact that if she did marry Paul, sheâd never get to share a bed with him. Would never bear his heirs or even receive an ounce of warmth from him.
She knew that even though you'd officially be Paulâs concubine, his loyalty would lie with you. And only you.
Chaniâs hand on your shoulder pulled you out of your thoughts. It reminded you that before it ever came to that, Paul would have to beat the Na-Baron Feyd-Rautha.
You took a deep breath in, as you glanced over to the Harkonnen. You had heard stories of him back on Caladan. Stories of his thirst for blood and his enjoyment of Pain. His reputation preceded him, but his appearance clearly matched it. He looked almost eerily as he stepped forward, proposing to fight for the Emperor and defined his honor.
A small frown appeared on your face, when Paul accepted the proposal. Too fast for your liking. You heard Chani sigh next to you. You looked over to the Fremen. The Woman who had become like a sister to you, who had taught you the ways of her people. You remembered it as clear as day, when she had first told you, that youâd earned her trust.
It was the day you had joined the Fedaykin among their ranks, The day you became one of them.

You were high on adrenaline. You didnât know how else you couldâve explained it. You didnât know how else you wouldâve pulled it off. Your eyes wandered over the many Corpses of the Harkonnen Warriors, that were supposed to protect their Harvester. Almost like in slow motion, you raised your hand, your fingertips wandering over the specks of blood that littered your face. You knew it wasnât your own blood, but the thrill that the situation itself brought you, was indescribable.Â
You needed a few moments to fully return to the present. The Spice in the Air was clouding your senses, making it feel like you witnessed everything merely from the eyes of a spectator and not as one of the Fremen who ever so fiercely attacked a Spice Harvester of the Harkonnen.
The Explosion pulled you out of your Trance.
You spun around, spotting Chani and Paul. They were fighting off a few Harkonnen warriors. But you quickly realized that Paul wouldnât be able to defeat them all alone. Youâve never felt slower than in this moment, when you started running towards him. It felt like the Sand was pulling you down, seeking to swallow you whole.
But you didnât let it. A scream left your lips, as you dashed forward, deeply burying your Crysknife in the back of a Harkonnen Warrior that was about to attack Chani from behind. You sank to the ground together with his Corpse, as Chani spun around, her eyes widening as she realized what had happened.
Only seconds passed, as you looked up to her, Anger and Determination all, that was on your mind. Chani gave you a small nod before Paul finally reached the two of you again.
âRe-load!â, Chani yelled at him and he quickly did as told, pulling out another round of Ammo, reloading Chanis Missile Launcher.Â
You glanced past the Mainstay that the three of you were hiding behind. When you spotted the Ornithopter in the air, you gulped harshly.
âThe shields only lower when heâs shooting!â, You shouted towards your companions. When you locked eyes with Paul, you immediately realized that the two of you had the same Plan.âWeâll distract him!â, Paul explained to Chani who gave him a court nod as she understood.
âWait for our sign!â, You yelled, as you got ready to sprint over to the next Mainstay to distract the Sniper.
âReady?â, Paul asked as he got into position next to you.
âReady as Iâll ever be.â, You grinned, despite the Seriousness of the Situation.
You took in one last deep breath, knowing very well that it could be your last one, before you felt Paul tap your shoulder, signaling you to start running.
Almost immediately, your instincts kicked in and it felt like you were a spectator again, watching how your feet carried you through the hot sand. You saw and heard the shots that rang in the Air as you sprinted through the Desert.
âShit!â, You heard Paul yell next to you and you quickly realized what he meant, when you saw the Mainstay in front of you start to move further away from you.
âRun!!â, You shouted, as if it wasnât obvious.Â
You knew that from that moment and the point where you reached your destination, only seconds passed but it felt like hours as you ran through the sand. Mere moments before you reached the safety of the Mainstay, you heard Paul yell at Chani to launch the Missile.
You were knocked over by the Force of the Explosion as the Ornithopter burst apart into the air, signaling to the Fremen that were hidden on the cliffs nearby that they could launch their attack on the Harvester, destroying it entirely.Â
âHurry!â, Paul yelled, as he pulled you to your feet and back over to Chani who was already making her way towards the nearby Dune. You had to disappear in the Desert again, before more Harkonnen would come and attack you.
That night you sat with the other Fedaykin, drank and laughed with them as Paul and you joined their ranks as respectable Warriors of the Desert. You received your Fremen name and you realized that your Heart, your soul and your entire being was with them now. You would fight for them as long as you breathed, would even go to death for them.
And Chani seemed to realize it too.
The young woman had always acted cold towards you, but when you saved her life on that day, risking your own for hers, she realized just how much of a loyal friend and fighter lay in you. From that day on, You knew that you could always count on each other.

âHe will surviveâŠHe will win.â, Chani whispered into your ear and squeezed your shoulder as you watched how Paul and Feyd-Rautha got ready for their Fight. As the Gaze of the Na-Baron crossed yours, you sucked in a deep breath. What you saw in those eyes scared you.
It was a thirst for Blood and Power that you had only seen in Paul as he drank the Water of life.
You quickly looked over to Paul, giving him a firm nod, signaling him that you were on his side. His eyes told you more than words ever could. It was a silent promise. A promise to come back to you, to survive this battle and to put his plan into action.
It was a Promise that he would become the Emperor.
âI must not fearâ, You mumbled to yourself, as the fight began,âFear is the Mindkiller.âÂ
Your eyes followed every little move of Paul as well as Feyd-Rautha. The two men were equal fighters, both born to be the One. But only one of them would win, only one of them would come out alive.
âFear is the little death that brings total obliteration.â, You whispered, as you watched Paul get knocked over the head, Blood trickling down his temple,âI will face my fear.â
âIs she your pet?â, Feyd-Rautha mocked as he gave Paul a moment to collect himself. The Na-Baron grinned wickedly and pointed his knife at you. You paid him no mind, as your eyes only rested on Paul, silently telling him not to let himself be provoked.
âI will permit it to pass over me and through meâ, you mouthed as Paul got up and the Fight commenced anew.Â
Your breath hitched as Feyd-Rautha swiftly disarmed Paul, ramming the Crsyknife into his ribs. A guttural groan left Paul's lips as the two fighters stood close to each other. Wheezing breaths were the only noise to be heard in the room.
âAnd when it has gone past I will turn to the inner eye and see itâs Pathâ, You whispered desperately, the Mantra being the only thing that kept you from panicking.
All your senses were focused on the two men in front of you as you witnessed how Paul silently pulled the Crysknife out of his Body, getting ready to attack. Feyd-Rautha barely had time to react as the holy knife of Shai-Hulud pierced his armor and therefore ended his life by the hand of the new Emperor.Â
âWhere the Fear has gone there will be nothingâ, You mouthed as Paul got to his feet again. His steps seemed to carry the weight of the Universe as he walked over to the old Emperor, demanding him to kneel in front of his new Master.
Reluctantly the old man did as told, as he accepted his defeat. Princess Irulans gaze slowly wandered to you, as her father fell to his knees.
âOnly I will remain.â
Stay

warnings: light angst with a happy ending
summary: you are the empress of the known universe alongside paul atreides, however, you dont agree with what hes doing, so you give him an ultimatum.
You had always loved the rain. Especially on Caladan. Yes, on your home planet it had rained fairly frequently, but it wasnât the same. The rain on Caladan came down by the bucket full, not measly little drops. Each minute sheets of water fell from the sky like rolls of silver fabric.Â
The only thing that lulled you to sleep more effectively than rain on a window, was the slow, contented breathing of your husband beside you, and the slow movement of his fingers brushing against your waist. Every now and again heâd re-adjust his position to get even closer to you.Â
Usually he fell asleep before he was practically clinging to you, but tonight was not one of those occasions.Â
âPaul,â You laughed breathily, pushing away from him a bit in order to spin in his arms and face him.Â
He groaned in complaint as you moved away from him and opened his eyes blearily.Â
âWhyâre you moving awayâŠâ He complained, trying to pull you back to him.Â
âBecause youâre practically on top of me, Iâm not a hot water bottle.â You chided, although the teasing smile on your face gave away your true feelings.Â
âNo, youâre better.â He said, a sly smile on his face, âNow câmere, Iâm cold.âÂ
You sighed, but did as he said, tugging his arm around you and lacing your fingers together.Â
You could feel Paulâs smile on the back of your neck as he found a way to hold you even closer.Â
âI love you.â He whispered, and you replied in kind, the smile that formed on your face certain to match the one he was currently wearing.Â
âPromise youâll stay with me?âÂ
âMhm. I promise.âÂ
Now, as you paced nervously around the hangar, you couldnât help but think back to that promise you had made. At the time, you thought that nothing could tear you away from Paul Atreides, not the sun nor the stars.Â
Of course, you could never have planned for him becoming Emperor of the known universe. And you could have never known that it would be him tearing the both of you apart.Â
At first, when you had been planning your escape, you had hoped that the aircraft would arrive before your husband. That was before you remembered who your husband was now. He would notice you were gone almost immediately, so you had to plan for confrontation, not avoid it.Â
âWhat is this?â A voice came from the entrance to the hangar, echoing through the cavernous room and into your ears. He didnât sound angry, merely confused.
You turned to face him and his expression was just what you thought it would be, torn between angry and distressed. In his hand, he held the note which you had written, telling him to meet you down here.
âI am leaving, Paul. For Caladan.â You said firmly, turning to face him.Â
He smiled weakly, shaking his head, âWhy all the smoke and mirrors? If you wanted to return home you should have said so. I would have prepared a ship for us both-â
âBecause I am not going with you.â You interrupted, your voice harsh.
âWhat do you mean? It is not exactly typical for the Empress to leave her husband days after the coronation.â He laughed, but it was not the melodic sound you had once loved, instead it was forced, choked even.Â
âWell, you are not the typical Emperor. I am leaving, and you will not follow me.â You stated, remaining firm, even as your heart threatened to betray your mind and run back to him.Â
Paul just stared at you, his face painted white in shock.Â
âWhy?â He asked, his voice cracking.
âBecause I can no longer stay by your side and watch you become this. You are becoming someone I do not recognise.âÂ
âMy love, what are you talking about-?â
âI'm talking about this, Paul! Your holy war! You do remember that, donât you? The war you swore to me youâd do anything to stop? And now, here you are, at its forefront.â
âI had no choice.â He said, his eyes hardening slightly.
âYou always have a choice. You are their so-called âmessiahâ. Their emperor. They would fly into the sun if you asked them to. So ask them, stop this war before it consumes everything.â
âYou know it is not that simple!â He shouted, and you couldnât help but flinch slightly before rallying yourself.
âThe man I married on Caladan would not have cared about simplicity. He would have cared about what was right, what was moral! He would never have entered this conflict, he would have laid down his life to prevent it! And I would have been right beside him.âÂ
âThis conflict was inevitable! I am doing my very best to minimise the damage, canât you understand that?â
âI understand that you are still not doing enough.â
Paul looked at you, incredulously, anger filling his gaze, âReally? How can I do more when my own wife does not believe in me! You claim to support me, and yet now you are leaving me. My position is still weak, and you leave the only man you have ever claimed to love.â
âYour position! You are faced with the massacre of your people and all you can speak of is your position!?. Have you no soul left Paul? Did it melt away on Arrakis, scorched by the sun?âÂ
Suddenly all the anger and venom drained from Paulâs face, and he found himself dropping to his knees, and begging you to stay.Â
âYou are my soul. You have been all these years. You keep me balanced, you are my morality, my goodness. Everything I do is for you, my love, for your safety. I only care about my position for it is your position also, all the power I have acquired is only in the name of keeping you from harm.â
You looked at him, staring deeply into his eyes, that piercing blue that you had thought so beautiful when they finally changed. Now they were just a reminder of how much he had changed since coming to this awful place.Â
âI want to believe you. But you have always had such a way with words. I watched the way you deceived those people into following you, is that what youâre doing now?âÂ
He rose to his feet again, taking your hands in his. His face was frantic with fear.Â
âI would never deceive you. I mean every word, Iâve felt this way my whole life. You are the most important thing to me. You know I would never lie to you.â
For the first time since the conversation began, you hesitated slightly. Could you believe him? Eventually, you landed on an answer.Â
â...I do. You would never lie to me on purpose. You are lying to yourself too Paul. You know that I have never wanted position, nor power, heavens, I have never even wanted safety! All I have ever wanted is you, wholly, truly, with no barriers-â
âAnd you have me!âÂ
You reached up to splay your hand across his cheek, wiping away the tears that threatened to spill from his blue-blue eyes.Â
âNo, I donât have you. I have splinters of you, and I fear the rest is lost. You may bear the resemblance of the man I love, but you are not him.â
He opened his mouth to protest, but no sound came out.Â
Suddenly there was the immense whirring of gears, and you knew your ship was here to take you to Caladan.
âIâm afraid we do not have much time, so listen to what I say,â He didnât react, his face remaining desperate and heartbroken, but you continued anyway.
âIf you finally realise what you have done, and you fix it, come to me on Caladan. But I donât want to see the Muadâdib, or the âMessiahâ, or the Kwisatz Haderach. The only man I wish to see is my husband, Paul Atreides. Remember that Paul.âÂ
You gave him one last longing look before turning away from him, and making towards the ship that was emerging from the floor of the hangar.
âIâll see you again?â He called, his voice cracking slightly as he stared after your retreating form in defeat.Â
âHopefully so, my love, hopefully so.âÂ
And with that, you stepped onto the outstretched platform of the ship, and shut the door behind you. Paul stayed in the hangar until the craft was gone, biting his tongue so as not to call out to you again and beg you to stay. Â
*
The message that the Emperor would be coming to visit you had come far sooner than you expected. Â
And you were disappointed in him. He was breaking your agreement, and so soon. It had only been a year, and to your knowledge there had been no change in the situation.
Perhaps he was coming to ask for a divorce, maybe heâd found someone else since you left. That would certainly be ironic, considering the way he had begged for you to stay on Arrakis.Â
However, you were incorrect, because only a few days later a messenger came to tell you that the jihad had ended.        Â
Immediately you leapt out of your seat, clasping your hand over your mouth in shock. He had done it.Â
For the next few days, Castle Caladan was abuzz with preparations for the Emperor returning home. You oversaw said preparations with a watchful eye, and though you wouldnât admit it, you were happier than you had been in years. As much as you didnât want to admit it, you had missed Paul terribly.Â
Yet, when his ship landed, you were nowhere to be found.Â
âWhere is my wife?â Paul asked one of your ladies in waiting as he strode through the halls of his childhood home.Â
âMy lord, she left on a walk to the cliffs this morning, and has not returned since. Would you like me to send someone to fetch her?â
The Emperorâs harsh expression softened slightly. âNo, Iâll go.âÂ
It didnât take Paul long to work out where you had gone, and as he climbed one of the paths up to the cliffs, he was glad to see you sitting on one of the benches, clad in the green silks of house Atreides.Â
He called your name, and his voice cut through the gusting winds into your ear, and you turned to face him with a searching look on your face.Â
You stood, and couldnât help but jog towards your husband, gathering your skirts so you didnât trip and make a fool of yourself. However, you stopped short of running into his arms, opting to stand just in front of him so you could inspect his face properly.Â
âIs it you, Paul? Have you finally come back to me?â You asked, your voice cracking slightly.Â
âItâs me,â He whispered, reaching a hand out to touch you, âIâm sorry I didnât listen to you, what I was doing was wrong, and I know that now, and-!â
You cut off his rambling apology by surging forwards into his arms and kissing him fiercely. He immediately responded in kind, wrapping an arm around your waist and cradling your head in his hand, whilst you held onto the lapels of his coat as tightly as you could.Â
Despite the fact you wanted to stay like that forever, eventually the need for oxygen prevailed, and you broke away to take a deep breath in, laughing lightly at the sight of his flushed face.Â
He grinned at you, moving the hand that was on the back of our head back to your cheek, brushing his thumb along your face.Â
âYou missed me?â He asked, teasing, but his voice had a slight edge of concern to it.Â
âYes. I missed you so much.â You said immediately, emphatically. Because you had missed Paul, it felt as if you hadnât seen the real him for years, and the feeling of being reunited was almost too much for you to contain.Â
He let out a short sigh of relief, âI missed you too. But itâs ok, because Iâve fixed it all. They still think Iâm their messiah, but Iâm going to stop acting like it. And you were right, I was power hungry, and selfish, and I exploited so many people, and I betrayed you, and-â
âEnough, Paul.â You said, looking at him with so much care that he couldnât help but smile softly, âYes, you have made mistakes, but it wasnât all your fault. And youâve made a change now, youâre doing the right thing. And Iâll always be there for you. I had to leave to help you, but I knew weâd see each other again. And here we are, back home, just like old times.âÂ
âYouâre right.âÂ
âI often am, my love.âÂ
He wrapped his arms around you once again, âWill you stay with me, here?âÂ
You nodded, âMhm. Iâll stay for good this time.â

-------------------------------------
You awoke to Feyd sitting up abruptly. You saw his eyes narrow in on the door. He pushed himself out of the bed, you pulled the blanket up around yourself.Â
âTake your dress off.â Feyd said.
âWhat?â you said in shock.
âTrust me.â he said.
You slipped the shoulders of your dress off, keeping yourself covered with the blanket. Feyd acted like he was putting his pants back on when the door slid open. The Baron himself entered your shared apartments.Â
âNephew! I trust you had an agreeable night with your bride?â he said with a disgusting smile.Â
Feyd nodded, face stone cold. The Baron moved towards you and you shrunk back from his imposing figure. Feyd was by your side in an instant, standing between you and the Baron.Â
âAlready soft for them? Donât be weak Feyd.â he said, mocking him for having an attachment to you.Â
The Baron shoved him aside, yanking you from the bed. You stumbled, trying to stay upright but also trying to keep yourself covered. Feyd caught you, holding you up before pushing you behind him. He noticed the slight shake in your body and fear in your eyes. His uncle was formidable but to you, he was terrifying.Â
The Baron gazed down at the blood on the sheets, a content smile on his face as he turned to Feyd. âWell done dear nephew, a Harkonnen heir will be well on its way if you are this persistent.â he said as his eyes raked over the little he could see of your form.Â
âUncle.â Feyd responded flatly, bowing his head slightly as his uncle left your apartments.Â
Feyd immediately turned around to face you. You held the sheets closer to you, shaking uncontrollably. Feyds hands went to hold you but he stopped himself. Your eyes met his before you leaned into him, resting against his chest. His movements stuttered for a moment. He had never felt somebody so relaxed against him. Quite the opposite actually, everyone was always tense around him. His arms encircled you, holding you tightly. He rested his head against you, allowing his eyes to flutter closed. You started to sway with him unconsciously, finding peace with one another in the moment. Feyd felt you lean back slightly, your hand coming to hold his cheek, he kept his eyes closed as he leaned into your touch.Â
âNot what I expected.â you said, barely audible. Your eyes roamed his face, taking in his sharp features.Â
He opened his eyes, finding yours. âWhat?â he whispered in response, his hand coming up to hold yours against him.Â
âYou arenât what I expected.â you stated a little louder.
âWhat did you expect?â he asked. He already knew the answer. A killer. A psychotic, power hungry Harkonnen - like his uncle.Â
âI expected you to be what they made you.â you said, thumb running over his cheek softly.
Made him. They had made him the way he was. But there was still a sliver of himself. His true self which longed for connection, kindness, love. Perhaps you could nurture this bit of him, as you already have. You are the only one who has made him feel warm inside, a warmth he wanted to revel in.Â
âI think youâre right. We can find things to love in one another.â he took your hand from his cheek, kissing your palm.Â
You gave him a toothy smile before standing on your toes to connect your lips in a sweet kiss momentarily. Feydâs lips chased yours when you parted, kissing you one more time before separating for good. Feyd reached over to the bed, handing you your discarded dress. You thanked him, standing behind the nearby privacy screen to put it back on, not that it left much to the imagination but it was better than being naked.Â
âI was told to meet with the Reverend Mother today. To be given a proper tour of Geidi Prime and learn my new duties.â you told him as you watched him dress.Â
He nodded, âI will be in meetings most of the day. Figuring out what to do with the rats of Arrakis.â he said, âI will see you tonight.â he said as he gave a soft smile. He kissed your knuckles before leaving.Â
Hardly a moment passed before your maids arrived to dress you and take you to the Reverend Mother.Â
------------------------------------------
You felt exhausted after your long day. The Reverend Mother was imposing and expected much from you to properly serve House Harkonnen. The Reverend Mother made it well known she did not prefer you, she preferred your sister. Your sister who had taken to the Bene Gesserit ways was a much more âsuitableâ match in her opinion. But you would suffice, she said. As soon as your intricate dress was taken off you dismissed your maids. You washed quickly before laying on your bed. You watched the black sun start to eclipse, it made you miss the warmth of the golden sun from your home planet. You heard the door slide open, before you could roll over you felt yourself being pulled to the edge of the bed. You saw three Harkonnen women, smiling with inky black teeth. One held your ankles down, another held your wrists down, and the third one with a thick black line down her forehead straddled you, covering your mouth with her hand. You kept still, afraid to make any movements.Â
The one straddling you leaned in close to your face sniffing you a bit before writhing on top of you, âYou smell so sweet, I wonder how you taste?â she said in an eerily vacant voice, as if she was without a soul to make her whole.
You pulled harshly, trying to free your hands or feet when you saw the shiny silver blade beneath the dress of the woman straddling you. You heard the door open, seeing Feyd walk inside. He froze, watching as the women gawked at him. The woman straddling you finally removed her hand from your mouth.
You spoke in an echoey, irresistibly powerful tone. You may not be Bene Gesserit but you mastered using the voice when you were still being considered between you or your sister. âSTOP.â, everyone, including Feyd, stopped moving.
âRELEASE ME.â they did as you said, letting go of your hands and wrists.
âGIVE ME THE KNIFE.â the woman above you handed you the blade, her face full of shock as she tried to resist to no avail.Â
âGET OFF ME. STAND WITH THE OTHERS.â you commanded them easily. You looked at the pale women grouped together. Typically, you would be merciful. But you were a Harkonnen now, you were almost assassinated by Harkonnenâs. These people were no strangers to killing, in fact, they were rather experts in it.Â
You handed the knife to the woman with the black line on her head, âKILL YOUR SISTERS, THEN YOURSELF.â you commanded.Â
You watched as the woman stabbed and slashed at her friends before opening her own stomach. All of them slumped against the floor, blood pooling around them. Your breathing was heavy, your body tense. You felt arms grab you from behind, completely forgetting Feyd was there.
âKNEEL.â you said, your voice was booming. You had killed before but never while using the voice. It felt⊠addicting. To have that kind of power over others.Â
You turned, eyes meeting Feydâs when you looked down. âFeyd!â you said as you pulled him up, arms wrapping around his neck before crying into the crook of his neck. The emotion of it all set in, the panic in your nerves.Â
Feyd wrapped his arms around your waist, âThis is all my fault.â he mumbled.Â
You leaned back, âHow?â you said, confusion covering your face.Â
âThey were my darlings⊠my concubines.â he said, shamefully looking down and away from your eyes.Â
Your heart felt odd, it hurt but you also sought clarity. âDid you love them?â you asked, holding his cheek.Â
âNo, never.â he said immediately, trying to hold your hand but too nervous to fully grasp it. âI made them maids, I never thought they would seek you out.â you could hear the guilt in his voice.
You looked between Feyd and the three dead women before you. âHush now, Iâm alright. This isnât your fault, their actions are their own.â
Feyd nodded, finally meeting your eyes. You saw tears sitting in his eyes, something you never thought youâd see. âThey almost killed you.â he said, voice cracking slightly.Â
âBut they didnât. Iâm not as fragile as you think my love.â you smiled softly at him, trying to brighten the mood.Â
The corner of his lips twitched up slightly, âI knew you were strong, now I know where your strength lies.â he said before pulling you into a kiss.

You watched as the servants removed the bodies of Feydâs darlings. They seemed so unbothered, you realized this was probably not the first time they had cleaned up bodies. Your regular maids tried not to watch as they dressed you, keeping their heads low.
âWait,â you said to the maid removing the blade brought to the ambush from last night.Â
Feyd leaned against the doorway, watching.Â
âWait.â you said a bit louder as she moved to leave your apartments.
âSTOP.â you said using the voice.Â
The woman stopped dead in her tracks, eyes going wide as she stood still.Â
âBRING ME THE KNIFE.â you commanded. Your maids moved away from you so the woman could bring you the blade. You felt the cold steel in your palm before your spoke again, âLEAVE US, ALL OF YOU.âÂ
The door shut quickly and when your eyes met Feydâs you couldnât help but comment on his smug appearance.Â
âWhat?â you asked him innocently, tilting your head slightly.
âYouâre taking to our ways already. Power suits you, Na-Baroness.â he said as he approached you slowly, picking up your free hand to kiss your knuckles.Â
He kissed them softly before you saw his eyes flit to the long knife in your opposite hand. You watched him start to shift his stance slightly. Everything slowed down as you gave him a cheeky smile. He yanked you towards him by the hand he was still holding onto. You ducked down, his grip holding your wrist. You elbowed him in the back of the knee, as he fell you ripped your arm from his grasp. He threw his arm out at you again, attempting to get ahold of you. The force from ripping your arm away threw you back, using that to your advantage you threw both your feet into his chest, kicking him back. He fell onto his back. Before he could anticipate another move you climbed on top of him, knees on his biceps.Â
You flipped the knife around, holding it to his neck, âYield?â you questioned, breathing heavy with a grin tugging at your lips.Â
His black teeth were visible between his small panting breaths. You felt his hips shift before you felt one of his legs curl over your shoulder, forcing you to the floor. Now he straddled you, moving to hold one of your arms down you threw the knife, catching it with your opposite. You held the knife to Feydâs ribs.
âYield?â you asked again.
âYouâre not in a position to be asking me to yield.â he chuckled lowly, âYou think Iâm afraid of being stabbed?â he chided.Â
You raised an eyebrow at him, âDonât test me, husband.â
âOr what, wife?â he responded. You had never seen him so playful. Granted this was a violent situation and most in your position would be absolutely petrified.Â
Not you though. Fear is the mind killer. âLEAN FORWARD.â you said, the voice making his body lurch. You smacked your head into his, knocking him over. He groaned at the sharp pain before he looked at you. You expected rage to be in his eyes; the formidable Feyd Rautha losing a fight? Never. Yet all you saw was complete adoration, and even a hint of lust. You held the knife under his chin, âYield?â you asked finally.
His eyes raked over you, you were starting to enjoy seeing him on his knees before you. He nodded before standing. You threw the knife onto the bed before looking at him. You left a small cut on his cheek when you headbutted him, you swiped up the dribble of blood seeping out onto your thumb. Feyd watched your every move. You put your thumb in your mouth, sucking the iron from your digit. His pupils were blown wide, the air in the room felt thick. You felt an unfamiliar warmth ignite in your lower belly, it trickled down to your core. You wanted more of the feeling but werenât sure how to amplify it, or what even caused it.
Your eyes were lost in each other, locked in, focusing solely on the current moment. Feydâs hands ghosted over your hips, you moved closer to him. Your breaths mingled, lips a centimeter apart. The door flew open, the Reverend Mother entering with fellow Bene Gesserit sisters following behind her. Feydâs face instantly grew cold, but you could see it was to save face from the immense annoyance he felt.Â
âBreed them later,â she said, waving Feyd off. âYou have been summoned by The Baron, quickly now.â she said before turning to walk out, expecting you to follow her.Â
Your eyes shifted to Feyd who was already looking at you with worry etched onto his sharp features. You opened your mouth to speak before he put his finger over his mouth, motioning for you to hush. He walked to you silently, pulling your dress up he attached his Holtzman shield to your upper thigh. You watched as he turned it on, a blue blur shimmering over you slightly before settling. You felt Feydâs fingertips ghost over your thigh, making your eyes flutter closed and head tilt back. The warmth from earlier back in full force. Oh - he was what made you feel like that. He released your dress, adjusting it back to its rightful place before he squeezed your hand. âBe cautious, trust no one.â he whispered before leaving, glaring at the Reverend Mother as he went.
------------------------------------
You kneeled before the Baron as you entered the Great Hall. You kept your head down and eyes off him, âBaron.â
âIâve been told you killed three maids.â he said gruffly, smoking his pipe.
âThree maids who tried to kill me.â you responded, rising.
âAnd how did you manage this?â he chuckled, âDid Feyd do it? You can tell me, he wonât get in trouble. Maids are so easily replaceable.â
âI assure you, I killed them. I was trained in combat by a former member of the Sardaukar.â you said, hands clenching each other tightly.Â
âAnd you said her sister was preferable? She seems more than adequate.â he said to the Reverend Mother, blowing out a puff of smoke. âHow is married life?â
You bit your tongue, not wanting to dignify him with an answer. âI am doing my very best to please the Na-Baron.â you said.Â
âMy nephew has never been easy to please. He grows bored quickly; and you killed his darlings. What will become of you when he is bored and has no toys?â the Baron laughed.
âWe shall see.â you said, jaw clenched, fighting the urge to snap at him. Harkonnenâs are full of fury, but you had learned that patience and planning was the best way to know your enemy. You were always watching, observing. And what you observed now was the Baron, testing you. Seeing which way you would fall, to him or to Feyd. âI live to serve House Harkonnen.â you said, kneeling and holding your arms out, opening yourself up completely. Your head was bowed but you honed your hearing in, listening to the silent exchange between the Reverend Mother and the Baron. This skill was more difficult for you than the voice but you managed.Â
You listened to their minds echo.
âUse her to control Feyd.â thought the Reverend Mother.
You could feel the Baronâs agreement, âControl Feyd, control the Emperium entirely.â
You kept your face devoid of emotion, your mind clear so Reverend Mother knew nothing of your eavesdropping.Â
âRise.â said the Baron.Â
You gave him a sweet smile, âMight I walk the halls? I have yet to adjust my eyes to the darkness of Geidi Prime, I would like to heighten my sight.â asimple, silly request but one you hoped he would oblige.Â
âOf course.â said the Baron.Â
You bowed to him and the Reverend Mother before walking out of the hall. You walked back towards your apartments, wanting to talk to Feyd about what just transpired. When you arrived Feyd was nowhere to be found.Â
You walked up to your guards, âWhere is the Na-Baron?â
âI am unable to say, Na-Baroness.â he said sternly.
âTELL ME.â you snapped at him in the voice.Â
âHe is in the arena, training.â he said, shaking his head after he told you, unsure why he did so given his orders.
âFETCH HIM.â you commanded before walking back into your apartments, listening to the guards hurried steps.Â
You kicked off your shoes and held your stomach, trying to pace your breathing while in such a tight dress. You clawed at the laces of your corset, letting out a grumble when you failed to even untie the initial string. Once you heard the door slide open you turned around. Your breathing was still erratic but you quickly made your way to him. You looked both ways for prying ears, your guards given to you by the Baron himself stood watch.
âLEAVE US.â you told them before shutting and locking the chamber door.
Feydâs face was covered with confusion. You pulled him into a tight hug, burying your face in his neck. âThat man is evilâŠâ you said to him.Â
âWhat?â he responded, pulling you back by your hips.
âThe Baron⊠the Reverend Mother⊠they want to use me to control you.â you said, looking into his eyes nervously.
âHow do you know this?â he asked, tone still gentle, purely inquisitive.Â
âHow do you think?â your voice echoed in his mind, yet your lips remained unmoving. âFeyd⊠Iâm scared⊠I donât want to be some political pawn. I⊠I just want to beâŠâ you said, biting your lip before you could finish your sentence.
âWant to be what?â he said, tucking loose strands of hair behind your ears before his hands came to cradle your face.Â
You sucked in a sharp breath, âYours.â you paused, âI am your wife, my loyalties lie with you. Always with you. You are the only person I have on this god forsaken planet. The only person I trust. The only person I want.â your hands held his face, eyes glossy with tears.Â
He could see it, the genuine nature of everything you just said. Truth be told, he felt the same way. You were the only person he felt anything for, a fire in him burned for you and you alone. You were the only one who could make him vulnerable and soft. He wanted to be that way with you. To be held, cherished, loved. Love. He knew little of it, sex and violence were what fueled him prior to you. Yet here you stood, holding him. Declaring yourself to him, not House Harkonnen. He loved you the minute he saw you, he thought to himself. As if it were fate.Â
âFeyd⊠talk to me.â you said, interrupting his train of thought.Â
âI want you too.â he whispered before connecting your lips.
You melted into him, arms going around his neck to deepen the kiss. You felt none of the panic you felt on your wedding night. You wanted him to touch you, feel you, love you. Your tongues mingled together, you mimicked Feydâs movements. You nipped at his bottom lip instinctually; he sucked in a breath, separating from you. He licked at the drop of blood falling from his lip.Â
âSorry!â you said hurriedly, âI⊠Iâm not really sure what to do.â you could feel your face heating up, thankfully the black sun was eclipsing so the room was shrouded in darkness. Only the red lights in the room cast an ethereal glow.
âWhat do you want to do?â he asked, thumbs rubbing soothing circles on your hips.
âI want you⊠show me how.â you said.
Feyd leaned back in, kissing you fervently. You felt his hands slide up your hips to start untying your corset. He pulled the ribbon through the endless holes before you felt it go limp. Your breasts peeked out as your dress slowly started to slip off. You felt his hands run up your waist before he slid his hands up your arms.
âHave you never been touched?â he asked, noticing how even the slightest of touches made you squirm.
You shook your head, âNo, never.â
âMay I touch you?â he whispered as his lips hovered over your neck.
âYou already are.â you said, trying to sound like you were still in control of yourself when in reality your mind was hazy. Your senses felt dialed to 11 as he barely touched you.Â
âEverywhere. I want to touch you everywhere.â he said, licking your neck quickly before blowing on it, making goosebumps flood over your skin. You shivered slightly, making him smirk.Â
âOk.â you breathed out.
âOk? Tell me to stop if you want to stop. We donât have to do this, I want you no matter what.â he said in all seriousness, gaze never leaving yours as he asked for your consent.Â
âI want to⊠please Feyd, make me feel good.â you said, almost moaning it out. The anticipation of his touch driving you mad.Â
Feyd wasted no time tugging the rest of your dress down. He ripped the corset away, watching the way the black and red fabric pooled around your hips. He kissed, sucked, licked over the vast expanse of your chest. You held him close, body tingling with every move he made. You let out a small yelp when he took your nipple in his mouth, head falling back when he played with your other breast. He held your thighs before picking you up and carrying you to the bed. He laid you down, legs hanging off the edge. You felt his hands caress your upper body as he kissed his way down. His hands held the last bit of your dress, the fabric was barely being held up by your hips. His eyes flicked to yours, seeking permission. You nodded at him repeatedly. He pulled the dress off, leaving you bare. You felt overly exposed as his eyes wandered over every dip and curve.Â
You tried to cover yourself, embarrassed. Feydâs gentle hands grabbed your wrists, pulling them away from you. âPerfection,â he said, âutter perfection.âÂ
âI want to see you too.â you said, hands tugging on the bottom of his shirt. He removed his upper armor and shoes before stopping.
âCome take what you want.â he said, lust completely consuming him. He wanted to see how desperate you were for him, how much you needed him.Â
You smirked but he didnât miss the slight tremble in your hands as you pulled his shirt off. Your eyes drank in his pale torso. Muscles rippled over his entire body, you didnât even realize you were already moving to touch him. You felt over him before needing more like some insatiable beast. Your hands couldnât move fast enough as you fiddled with his belt, his pants finally loose enough for you to pull down. All that remained was his underwear, you could see a straining bulge in his pants. Feyd pushed you back gently so you were laying with your legs off the bed once more. You rested on your elbows, watching to see what he was doing. He dropped to his knees before you. His hand pushed your legs apart.
âSo good⊠is this all for me?â he asked, his head inching closer to your dripping core.
Before you could answer he attached his mouth you your clit, âAh, fuck!â you moaned. He ate you out like a man starved. He had one goal in mind, make you cum on his tongue twice before he even considered fucking you. Your body writhed, the pleasure consuming you completely. His strong arms held your hips down, your thighs encasing his head. You felt the heat in your lower belly start to spill over, it flowed in your veins scorching you. Your back arched as he sucked and licked at you incessantly.
âFeyd!â you shrieked, unable to compose yourself as you were overwhelmed with an indescribable feeling of euphoria.Â
Feyd didnât slow his movements, he watched your slick coat his fingers before he teased your entrance. Your body trembled as he slowly pumped his two fingers in and out of you. He kept his pace for a moment before speeding up, resuming his sucking on your clit. Your soft mewls and whines were music to his ears. âCome on love, I know you can be a good girl for me and cum.â
He mumbled as he was more focused on sucking your bundle of nerves than talking. You clamped your thighs around his head as you rode his face, milking your orgasm for all it was worth. When you finally loosened your grip on his head he nipped and sucked love bites into your inner thighs before kissing his way up to you. âYou alright?â he asked.Â
âI never want to leave this bed.â you chuckled, caressing his face. You felt his bulge rubbing against your sensitive core slightly. You decided to test out his reactions. You grinded into him, he was painfully hard. He let out a strangled groan. You slipped your hand between your bodies, your hand dipping into his underwear finally gripping him where he wanted you most. You watched his eyes flutter closed. You paced yourself as you tugged him off, watching his face for reactions while listening to the little noises he made. Your thumb rubbed over his slick tip, making him lurch forwards.
âW - waitâŠâ he huffed out.
You let go of him immediately, âDid I do something wrong?âÂ
âThe opposite actuallyâŠâ he said with a breathy laugh. You watched as he pulled his underwear off, you gasped when his cock slapped against his stomach. You watched the black precum leak from his pale pink tip. You took him all in, he was beautiful.
âDo you want to have sex?â he asked, kissing over your chest and neck lazily.Â
You bucked your hips up to him. He ran his cock through your folds, hitting your clit while coating you in him. You felt him position himself before he looked at you with a worried gaze. âThis might hurt,â he said before pushing in slowly.Â
You expected pain but this felt like you were being torn in half. You felt tears prick at the corner of your eyes, slipping down your face when Feyd finally bottomed out. He held still, eyes finally flitting to your face, he saw your tears. He glanced down, he saw his black seed mixed with your crimson blood. âDo you want to stop?â he asked, feeling guilty for making you hurt even if itâll bring you pleasure.Â
âNo,â you shook your head, âKeep going.â you said pulling him closer to you so you could hook your legs around his waist.Â
This position felt much better and as he started moving, you felt the pain ebb into pleasure. Tears kept falling from your eyes but these were tears of joy, of bliss. He couldnât find where to look, everywhere his eyes landed he saw something more delicious than the last place he looked. He became entranced with your belly, watching the bulge reappear with every thrust. He sped up, his high approaching quickly. You sensed his urgency, rubbing your clit furiously you pushed yourself over the edge. You felt your pussy milking him for everything he was worth, you also felt his hot seed deep inside you. Feyd collapsed on top of you, using the last of his strength to keep himself from crushing you. He shifted to lay next to you. Neither of you said anything for a moment before Feyd stood up and walked into the bathroom. Your heart dropped, was he just using you for sex? He returned before your thoughts could spiral. He wiped your face with the damp cloth before he gently cleaned between your legs, careful not to overstimulate your puffy clit. He wiped his cock before throwing the cloth to the floor. You shimmied backwards, pulling the covers over yourself. Feyd followed suit. You cuddled into him instantly.Â
âThank you.â you said sleepily.
âFor what?â he asked, massaging your scalp.
âEverything,â you mumbled. He smiled watching you try to fight sleep. âI love you Feyd.âÂ
He halted his movements for a second before curling into you, holding you. âI love you Y/N.â he kissed your head, holding you close. He let the warmth of the moment envelop him. Yep, this was love. Feyd Rautha, the psychotic killer, was deeply in love.

Feyd Rautha x Y/N - drabble part 2 - 1.4K WC
Part 1
Masterlist
Warnings: holy fluff, like all fluff, literally nothing but sweet sweet fluff
------------------------------
You and Feyd stood across from each other in your shared chamber. The wedding had gone off without a hitch, it was much darker than you imagined. Darker in the sense that it was made well known that you were to submit to Feyd. You had not been allowed to see each other after the initial engagement and your thoughts were getting the better of you. You worried once the deed was done, once you were officially married and bound to each other, he might not be the man you met. The kind, inquisitive one who craved gentleness. Perhaps he truly was the Feyd Rautha everyone feared.Â
You toddled your feet, looking everywhere but at him. He stepped closer and you instinctively took a step back. âMy apologies my Lord Na-Baron.â you said quietly.
âDo not apologize. Are you scared?â he asked, remaining where he was.Â
âA bit.â you replied, fidgeting with your hands.
âOf me?â he asked, you could see a hint of pain behind his gaze.
You flicked your eyes to him. He could tell without getting a verbal answer from you that you were afraid of him. He felt a small pang in his chest, and yet, he understood your hesitation.Â
âI do not expect anything from you,â he reassured, âbut⊠I would like to get to know you.â he said.Â
You took a small step towards him, â⊠but⊠do we not have⊠duties to perform?â you asked shakily, eyes wandering to the bed.Â
He could feel the fear radiating off of you, âNo. Not until you are ready.â he said with certainty.Â
You raised your eyebrows slightly, not expecting him to cater to you in such a way given how much pressure is put on the production of an heir.Â
âWhy donât you bathe, change into something comfortable, and we can talk then? Iâll do the same⊠in separate quarters, for your comfort.â he said walking backwards towards the door.
You nodded, watching him walk out. You let out a breath you didnât know you were holding in before moving to the bathroom. You began discarding all the intricate accessories in your hair, on your neck, on your arms, and finally your dress. You looked at the black paint that was put on your body before the wedding. War paint. Was this marriage going to be a war? You ran yourself a bath, watching the black streak off your body slowly. You sunk down, letting the water envelope you completely. You felt peace here, underwater and away from everything. Alas, peace cannot last forever. Not on Geidi Prime.Â
-----------------------------------------
Feyd re-entered your shared chamber. It felt sterile. Feyd could hear you in the bath still, so he decided to have the maids bring in different foods before activating different lights around the room, casting soft indirect light around. He sat on the sprawling couch in nothing but comfortable pants, his war paint also washed off his torso. He was on display and felt like he needed armor at this moment. He felt vulnerable. Lost in thought he almost didnât realize the bathroom door slid open. His head snapped up, you wore the silken black night clothes the maids had left for you. Your face was bare and your hair was still damp; he had never seen someone so real, so beautiful. Speechless, he motioned for you to sit on the couch with him.Â
âWhatâs all this?â you asked, looking around at the lights and different trays of foods.Â
âI figured it might take us a while to learn about each other.â he said with a shy smile.Â
You nodded, afraid to start the conversation.
âWe shouldnât hide anything from one another, agreed?â he said, grabbing a strange looking black fruit.Â
You nodded, âWhere would you like to start?â you asked him, keeping your eyes on him, trying to study him.
âWhat is your favorite color?â he asked.
You chuckled at the trivial question, âItâs black⊠more a lack of color really.â you smiled softly.
âWell youâre on the right planet if thatâs the case.â he said.
You laughed at his comment, a true laugh. He had never heard something so enchanting. âI can ask anything, yes?â you asked.
He nodded, reaching to hand you a slice of the fruit he was eating.Â
You took it graciously, âWhy are your teeth black? Only your darlings had black teeth from what Iâve seen.â you said.
âYou know of my darlings?â he asked with wide eyes, as if he had been caught.
âIâm not stupid, I know the needs of bored men.â you said as you ate the fruit. Â
âI dismissed them, they⊠they were concubines. Nothing more, I swear it.â he rushed out.
âItâs alright Feyd. Now, my question needs an answer.â you waved off his worries.
âI - Iâm afraid it's a rather shallow answer⊠They are considered beautiful on Geidi Prime. Pure vanity I suppose.â he smiled, showing his blackened teeth.Â
You nodded, satisfied with his answer. âYour turn.â you said as you picked up random foods to try.
âWhat else can your eyes do?â he asked, eating with you.
You smiled perkily, excited someone was interested in your invention. âNight vision, stunning, even managed a laser in one. Mostly they are for seeing but they have all sorts of âhidden featuresâ. I particularly enjoy the thermal vision, helps me see what people are concealing.â you said showing Feyd each setting as you spoke.Â
âMagic indeed.â he smiled.Â
Throughout your conversation you shifted closer to him, hours passed learning continuously about each other. The conversation flowed smoothly, as if you had known each other for years.
âWhat are your scars from?â you asked, pointing to the scattered marks.Â
Feyd fell quiet, fingers deftly tracing over a few of them. âThe Baron is not kind. He⊠ever since I was small heâŠâ you saw the hurt and hate in Feydâs eyes.Â
You nudged him with your knee but got no reaction. You softly pushed him back on the couch so he was relaxing against the back of it. You watched him with cautious eyes, you stood before straddling him. It felt slightly awkward at first but once you found your bearings you pressed him to you in a tight hug, arms wrapping around his neck to hold him. He wasted no time reciprocating.Â
âYou won't be hurt anymore, I swear.â you said to him before finally leaning back. Your lips were dangerously close. Your breaths mingled, both your eyes wandering between each other's eyes and lips. You leaned in, Feyd met you halfway. The kiss was soft, hesitant. Yet the longer it went on the more you craved him. You felt his hands slide to your hips, squeezing your supple flesh. You let out a small whimper, causing both of you to stop and stare at each other.Â
You chuckled, âI have much to learn in the areas of intimacy, husband.â you said to him.Â
Feyd chuckled, stealing a kiss before he responded with a hum, âWife.â he smiled hazily.Â
âDo you have other questions?â he asked, kissing your fingers softly.Â
âWhat do you expect of me as your wife?â you asked, expecting him to say children.
âNothing⊠exceptâŠâ he hesitated.
âWhat?â you said tilting his chin up to meet your eyes. He looked⊠afraid. Something you never thought you would see.
âIt is foolish.â he waved you off.
âTell me anyway.â you asked, almost begging to know.
âLove⊠and even then I do not expect it but⊠I wish for it. For something I have never had.â his head fell, as if he expected you to strike him for asking this.
You cradled his face in your palms, âWhoâs to say the seed of love has not already been planted between us? Whoâs to say it doesnât bloom more and more each moment I am with you?â you pecked his lips, eyes finding his when you pulled back. âWe have both been neglected of love we deserve, of love we crave. I wish for nothing more than to love and be loved, Feyd.â you said in a genuine and vulnerable tone. You had never been so honest with someone and you doubt he had either. A smile graced his lips as he held you close to him. You messed with your wrist control panel before blinking, your pupils shifting into the shape of a heart.
Feyd laughed at your cute antic, âMagic eyed beauty.â he mumbled out.Â
You laughed in return, âFearless pretty boy.â you kissed his nose.
âPretty?â he scoffed.
âVery pretty indeed.â you said, doubling down on your statement, hugging him once more.

----------------------------
You woke early, a slight crack in the curtains letting the blindingly bright black sun of Geidi Prime stream across your face. You groaned as you threw your arm over your face; the bed felt cold, lonely. You looked over to where Feyd slept last night, rolling towards his pillow. His scent still lingered - sweet blood mixed with musky sweat. You breathed deep before your maids entered the room.Â
âWhat?â you hissed at them, holding your hand out to pause them in their place. Your blood magic felt stronger than it had in days now that you had fed, especially from such a strong host.
âThe Lord Na-Baron Feyd Rautha has requested your presence in the training arena princess. He gave me a message for you.â your maid said not looking you in your eyes.
You made a âcome hereâ motion with your hand, your magic dragging her towards you. You set her down, she handed you the note with a trembling hand. âOut.â you said dismissing them. They scurried out like frightened rats.Â
Fitalitum veritanic et alumi read the slip of parchment. You smiled to yourself, in your own mother tongue of Succonant he wrote âThere is beauty in ferocityâ. You placed the note in the top drawer of the bedside table before getting out of bed and readying yourself. You purposefully picked out one of your long dresses instead of training gear. He wanted to see beauty and ferocity, you would give it to him. As you adorned your dress you couldnât help but admire how every piece of it could become a weapon. The sharp shoulder pads could be taken off and used as individual throwing knives. The belt became a barbed whip. The long sleeves hid two painfully thin blades, dainty but they hurt no less than a regular Cruor blade. Each layer on the dress had razor sharp edges, if you spun they were sure to carve your opponent. Finally a diadem which encased your shield should you need it. Cruor fought without them but you didnât want to risk marking your face days before the wedding. You finished admiring yourself before grabbing your beloved Cruor sword and heading down the corridor to the training arena.
As you walked down the cavernous halls of the Harkonnen palace you were confronted with the Reverend Mother herself, as if her ghostly form sprouted from the floor itself.
âPrincess Y/Nâ she stated in an unimpressed tone.
âReverend Mother.â you said, equally displeased.Â
âAre you prepared for your wedding?â she asked, reminding you that the end of the week was approaching rapidly.
âOf course.â you replied, bored.
âYou may think yourself above the rest Cruor, but you must remember where you are. And who truly rules.â she said with spite in her voice.
âHow could I forget Reverend Mother? Your shadows haunt these halls.â you said viciously, referring to her Bene Gesserit sisters.
âYou are fortunate the Voice does not affect you. But there are other ways to make you cooperate.â she said, stepping closer to you in an attempt to be imposing.
You twisted your fingers, your magic forcing her back and making her stumble. âUnfortunately for you, you are not and will never be immune to blood magic. It is built into my very being, not some trick to be learned. You do not frighten me, and I will not cooperate with you unless I alone agree to it.â you snapped at her.Â
âThere are always ways to make one cooperate. Should something happen to your husband, the Queen will be looked at intensely as a suspect. With my advice.â she said with an unsettlingly soft smile.
âAnd what makes you think I care for him in the slightest?â you asked, despite knowing it wasnât entirely true.
She hummed curiously, âGood day princess.â she said before walking away from you.
âCunt.â you whispered before pushing on towards the training arena.
When you entered the arena Feyd was nowhere to be found. You honed in your accelerated hearing, listening for his heartbeat. Your scarlet eyes narrowed to your left but a blow hit you from the right. You rolled to the ground with a groan. Feyd looked down at you with nothing but malice.Â
âWhat the fuck? That hurt you ass.â you coughed, hand holding your ribs which felt slightly cracked.
âWhat makes you think I care in the slightest?â he said with venom in his voice. He stomped towards you.Â
You knew he overheard your conversation. This was no longer training, this was a fight. You kept hold on your side, continuing to pretend like you were in immense pain. As Feyd stood before you, you kicked out his ankles with one swipe of your leg. He fell to the ground, you held your nails to his neck. Feyd grabbed your wrist, yanking you towards him, he threw you over him. Using your momentum he rolled with you, pulling his knife out and stabbing it next to where your shoulder would have landed if you had not pulled yourself towards him as you rolled. You smacked your forehead into his, pulling one of your shoulder blades out and stabbing at his shoulder, the blue shimmer of the shield vibrating the small blade. You pushed off each other, both of you getting to your feet.Â
You tossed the small shoulder blade away from you, âYou want to fight? Fight.â you said, pressing the main jewel on the diadem. Your blue shield shimmer faded before you tossed it off entirely. Feyd followed suit. You smirked at him which only seemed to anger him. He lunged at you, blade thrusting towards your chest. You made an âXâ in front of you with your forearms, the thin blades in your sleeves caught the knife, you twisted until he dropped the blade. He brought his armored arms down, breaking the thin blades. You backed up, kicking his chest to push him away. Feyd tried to rush you but you spun away, the dress ends slicing through his armor and into his thigh slightly. You took your belt off, lassoing his ankle before pulling him. He landed on his back. You snatched the lasso back, wrapping it around your knuckles before you squared up. He attempted to swipe your leg, instead you caught his and punched him in the side, hearing one of his ribs crack. Feyd groaned as he bent over slightly, holding his side.Â
âNow were even.â you said, tossing your belt to the side.Â
Feyd pulled you down by your dress, rolling you beneath him before he snatched one of your remaining shoulder blades. Starting right above your belly button he dragged the knife, cutting your dress up to your neck. A thin cut trailing your skin from the very tip of the knife, making you suck in a sharp breath as you felt drops of your blood seep out. You reached up to grab him, he held both your wrists down after tossing the small blade away. Both of you breathed heavily, chests hitting each other with every inhale. His eyes looked into yours, alight with fire. His hips nestled between your legs. Your dress fell open, revealing the cut he left behind, hardly keeping your breasts covered.
âYou learn quick.â you smiled beneath him. âYou are not your weapons. You are the weapon.â
His eyes wandered to the cut he left up your torso, he saw the few drops of blood that dripped to your side. He slowly lowered himself down your chest, keeping his eyes locked with yours. You watched through a haze as his tongue flicked out before he dragged it up the cut between your breasts. You sucked in a breath, your eyes closing as your back began to arch into him. You felt his tongue leave you all too quick.
âAbsolutely vile.â he said, savoring the way your iron tasted on his tongue.
You heard the door open and shut, a Harkonnen maid entered without looking at either of you, âThe Baron has requested your presence in the Great Hall my Lord Na-Baron Feyd Rautha.â she said before scurrying out.Â
Feyd stood, offering you a hand to help you up. You tugged your dress closed with one hand, accepting his help with the other. Chest to chest once again, time felt as if it had froze. Your breaths matched each other, breathing each other in and out. Feyd leaned in first, his forehead going to rest against yours. You moved to kiss him, not entirely sure why but every fiber of you ached for him and him alone.Â
Before you could close the gap, the Barons voice boomed throughout the arena. âNephew! We have much to discuss. You are dismissed princess.â He said waving you off.Â
You tightly held your dress together, ripping yourself away from Feyd and exiting the room. You checked, making sure no guards or maids were around before remaining right outside the door, honing your hearing in on them.Â
âHolding knives to your bride? I figured youâd be a brute in marriage like you are in battle. Try not to break her in too rough, theyâre much less likely to oblige. Although⊠we could always have someone hold her down for you. Like I had to with you the first few times.â The Baron chuckled.
You could hear Feydâs heartbeat, his soul was crushing at the memories and yet he was calm. The Baron confirmed what you had seen when you drank Feydâs blood, he had abused Feyd - physically, mentally, emotionally, sexually. Your body warmed with anger, you had half a mind to go and rip the Baronâs throat out with your own teeth. He was an animal, he should die like an animal.Â
âThat wonât be necessary, Iâm perfectly capable of taking her on my own.â Feyd replied.
Your heart sank and a low boil of fear started in your stomach. You felt stupid for starting to feel anything for him besides hate.
âShe is strong willed, thinks she knows best. Tame her, break her. She need only produce and heir or two⊠then you can dispose of her.â The Baron said.
Feydâs eyes widened slightly as his head whipped up to meet the Baronâs gaze. He composed himself once more, âOf course.â
You couldnât listen to anymore. You hastily made your way back to your chambers, tearing off your gown once inside. As you moved to put on more comfortable clothing you caught sight of your reflection. You could see bruises forming along your side, and the blood that had dried on you from the cut that was still present up your chest. As soon as you had finished cleaning yourself up, dressing your wounds, and changing into much looser clothing you heard the door slide open.
Feyd looked at you, startled by what he saw. Black veins around your eyes were ever present as your pupils looked like that of a cat. Instead of your regular two fangs you had four. You looked like you were ready to devour him mind, body, and soul. âY/N?â Is all he said.
âAre you here to break me? Tame me? Are you going to hold me down or will your guards be doing that?â You asked with so much loathing in your voice it made his head spin.
âYou know Iâd never hurt you-â he started.
âDo I?â You cut him off. âYou breathe because I allow it. Do not forget who comes from the more powerful house. Who carries generations of magic within them. Who feast off the very life source of others.âÂ
Feyd could see how much you distrusted him, and yet he saw your eyes getting misty.
âYou are a beast, Feyd Rautha. A beast and a monster. To believe I ever thought otherwiseâŠâ you trailed off.
âI may be a monster but at least I am not some unfeeling blood magic wielding wench who cares for no one but herself. I overheard you with the Reverend Mother.â Feyd argued back, both of you now heated and angry.
Your jaw dropped. How could he be so thick? So fucking oblivious? âI said that to protect you!â You yelled at him, stepping closer.Â
âWhat do you think I was doing?â He yelled back, throwing one of your empty glass jars to the side.Â
The jar shattered as it hit your light disc he had gifted you. The disc faltered, the stars and Rubrum disappearing as the disc finally died, âNo!â You yelled, rushing to it, forgetting the argument at hand entirely. You knelt next to it, picking it up and trying to make it work again.
Feyd watched you, his eyes softening. You were scared and alone on a planet you had never known, surrounded by people who viewed you as strange and lesser, whose only purpose was ultimate obedience, to be used any way that would benefit House Harkonnen without regard for you.Â
You sighed, letting the star disc clatter to the floor. You remained on your knees, a small sniffle emanating from you. You hated looking weak, but you knew this was coming; everything was too much. You wanted nothing more than to go back to Succo.Â
Feyd knelt in front of you, gently taking your arms till you rested against his chest. You let out a heart wrenching sob. One that had been held in for quite some time. âI would never hurt you, I am loyal to you above all else.â He murmured as he stroked your back, trying to calm you.
You leaned into him, finally letting out all that had been held in since you left Succo. âI donât want to hurt you either. I have no one on this planet but you⊠I wish for us to be equals; us against any who oppose us.â You said between sniffles.Â
Feyd pulled you back so he could see you. Your face had returned to normal, as did your fangs. Black tears cascaded down your cheeks, he gently wiped them off. As you looked at one another you could feel it. The same need to be understood, wanted. You both leaned in, lips finally meeting. Both of you let out sighs, the long awaited tension finally breaking. It was slow and sweet but gained momentum. You nipped his lip with one of your fangs, causing him to reel away from you in surprise.Â
âSorryâŠâ you blushed.
He shook his head, âDonât be⊠we should restâŠâ he said after a few moments.
âWe have much to discuss.â You said.
âAnd we will. But for now, let us rest.â He said, his hand coming up to hold your cheek.Â
You placed your hand over his, closing your eyes before nodding. He stood first, guiding you up as he stood. You climbed into the large satin covered bed. You watched as Feyd discarded his armor, along with his shirt. He held it for a moment, hesitating if he should or shouldnât do what he was thinking.Â
You reached out a hand for him, âCome to bed.â You said sleepily, already laying down amongst the pillows and blankets.
Feyd smiled softly as he set his shirt down and climbed in next to you. He did the same as the first night, sleeping far from you. You peeked at him through the haze of sleep that was rapidly consuming you. You tugged on his arm, making him scoot closer to you. You wrapped yourself around him; one leg around his hips while you laid yourself on his bare chest. You snuggled in for a moment before finally drifting off. Feyd caressed your hair as you slept, thinking of how he could protect you from his uncle because you were, by far, the most precious thing to him.Â

This is what reading Dune is like
Sometimes a guy in a fanfiction has the ability to read someone's gaze with the same level of detail a wine taster can taste the wine

David Lynch's "Dune" (1984) versus Denis Villeneuve's "Dune" (2021). Which is better?
