do u ever get urges to eat raw vegetables like. every now and then i just desire the taste of raw ingredients. dont want any mix and match just want raw tomato. raw carrot. know what i mean? and i savor that bland shit man im like ogh pure carrot... this is it. fuck ur salt, fuck ur pepper, fuck ur ranch. eats bell pepper like a delicious crispy apple.
when i was visiting my ex girlfriend i was chilling on her bedroom floor, we'd just gone to the grocery store earlier that day. harris teeter. gotten some snacks and other food items, eaten some of those sugar cookies they have in a big bin outside. im a life long plain raw veg eater, much like yourself, though i've come around on things like hummus-as-a-dip in recent years. anyway. i'd gotten some raw carrots, like baby ones (my ex didn't realise baby carrots were just adult carrots cut down to a smaller size. she thought they were a distinct variety) for myself to eat straight out of the bag, as i am wont to do. i start tucking in on the floor, opposite side of the room to her. and we're chatting, hanging out, when i make mention of my favourite part of eating raw carrots: their spiciness. turns out this is not a quality inherent to raw carrots, and that i have oral allergy syndrome. the, like, level of concern on her face and in her voice when she looked at me and went "spicy???" was crazy. and she still brings up "the time [i] thought carrots were spicy and supposed to feel like needles in [my] mouth" semi regularly to friends and strangers alike
