Hiii just came across your vampire!march au/fic idea! Could you tell us any more about it?

i'm still in the early stages of writing, so everything is subject to change! here is some info about the characters/settings that i have bouncing around my brain as i write! i'm also working on character moodboards that i'll probably post at some point

and i'm heavily leaning towards proper enemies to lovers for this story *rubs hands together evilly*

fields of mistria march x farmer vampire!au headcanons below the cut! (sfw)

march

✧ older than he looks, but not old old. he is still a relatively young vampire. turned in his 20s, now in his 40s or 50s.

✧ olric is his biological brother and they were turned around the same time.

✧ they've lived in mistria for 7 years or so. their condition is secret. the villagers haven't really noticed that they don't age much- with the effects of potions/magic, it is not terribly uncommon for aging to be slowed somewhat (kind of like plastic surgery in today's world)

✧ march struggles with vampirism more than olric. when he was first turned, march struggled especially with self-control.

✧ he hasn't fed on a human in more than a decade. he feeds on animals. the other villagers believe he is a hobbyist hunter, he'll bring back animals to the shop to process.

✧ he uses the leather or antlers in some of his projects, but he is a blacksmith first. he stores the blood for use over the week or so between hunts.

✧ his greatest desire is for his existence to mean something. his greatest fear is that he is nothing more than a monster.

farmer

✧ f!farmer (planning on 2nd person pov but i am still on the fence)

✧ "retired" adventurer, familiar with hunting monsters

✧ suspicious of and unfortunately attracted to the grumpy blacksmith

✧ pathological need to help others sometimes at your own expense

✧ moving to a derelict farm and rebuilding a partially destroyed town is your idea of a "relaxing retirement"

✧ olric literally 100% eats rocks idk what to say

✧ he's kind of a himbo because the iron in the rocks isn't exactly enough to like... meet all of his nutritional needs. but he's happy. so it's fine.

✧ happy rock muncher olric lives in my head rent free i'm so serious

a lot of chubby reader stories are about insecurity and I'm so sick of that so like imagine belly dancer reader. they know they're chubby but they DON'T HATE IT??? 😱😱😱 thats crazy!! (please. I'm begging you don't make it about the reader being insecure or calling themselves disgusting.... 😭)

honestly i don't feel qualified to write about belly dancing since it has such a rich cultural background/history & is so often misrepresented! i don't want to add to that in any way and i think i would be doing the artform a disservice to include it in a horny fanfic

my idea for logan x chubby reader honestly came from my own insecurities feeling like someone as hot as logan would never go for someone who looks like me we usually only see skinny girls get superheroes, after all :(

as a mid-size girlie myself who has ~lots~ of body image issues despite logically understanding that i am pretty conventionally attractive otherwise that is where the idea came from HAHA regardless of that, i definitely want to write this story from a fat-positive perspective!!! (and i always strive to write that way)

i will keep this in mind as i write!! i will try to strike a balance between the reader's confidence/insecurity, but i just wanted you to know where i'm coming at this from (but i would NEVER describe a fat body (or any body type) as disgusting in my work, however, so compared to THAT sort language any insecurities i write will feel much less... insensitive and damaging)

so yeah i plan for this fic to be um... self-healing smut LMFAO but thank you for your ask! i hope i can strike the right balance while staying true to my initial concept/my own experiences <3

I utterly ADORE your chubby reader x Logan fics!!! I've been thinking about Logan with a chubby reader for like a month and you manifested it absolutely perfectly!!! Like you fucking G E T IT on every fuckin level!!!

I was obsessed with the idea that Reader isn't used to being the lighter partner (Like my man has adamantium bones, Logan is the one who hesitates putting his full weight on you lol BUT I also think he'd love that you'd be able to take it and encourage him to anyway 🥰) and they're for once able to be (consensually) manhandled and PICKED UP!!!!

I think the first time Logan does it, it catches you so off-guard you practically squeal, arms wrapping around and nails digging into his shoulders for dear life haha. And he's so thrilled, he loves being able to do elicit that reaction from you, and he carries you to the nearest surface and ravages you with kisses.

I love just being able to totally let go with Logan, not having to think even the slightest bit about being too heavy for a position. I just know that Logan obliges in some they never thought they'd be able to do ;)

I also want to thank you so much for writing a Reader who is comfortable with their body!!! I was thinking about that, and how we need more of it, even if it's just neutrality. Even though that's not me at all, I hope to work up to it someday and the escapism and self-love in it is so wonderful and ahhh!!!! You also know Logan would just love and totally fall for the confidence.

But the specific mentions of the belly, his appreciate words ("belong in a painting"!!!), the fuckin contrast of your softness to his steeliness and it being something Logan adores!!! It's just so so so special. Thank you for the fic. 🖤🖤🖤🖤

we really do need more positive representation of larger bodies in media!! as i was writing i was like... i don't know if i've ever read a book where plus size or chubby bodies are described positively which is actually quite upsetting to think about but just makes me want to write it more

my biggest hope is for that fic to help people love their bodies a little more, it was so therapeutic writing it! 💖

you're so right btw, logan would LOVE that confidence, i love that thought 🥹 i was also thinking about how logan has been alive for so long, i imagine he's seen so many body standards come and go and probably can see that it's all bs. it was important for me to mention that the reader has an actual belly because so many descriptions i can remember of tummies not necessarily in fics but in romance books, for example specifically call them flat... cowards!!!

UGH im so glad you liked the "belongs in a painting" part seriously when i was looking at the depiction of women in renaissance paintings, and i saw parts of my body - it was so magical like our bodies really are sexy!!!
