The Truth Behind Eeby Deeby
Context: I decided to show my parents Eeby Deeby to show them the obscurity of my generation’s humor and what memes are like nowadays.
My father works in IT and has dealt with tech his entire life, and according to him (and with some internet confirmation), eeby deeby is actually:
EE = error error
B = 8 or F
Y = a broken 9
D = Door
eeby deeby is a door malfunction warning or the battery backup has died (depending on if it’s an F or an 8). So all those memes aren’t completely wrong, it is pretty dangerous.

It's a Trap

As they walk through the bustling city streets, Ramón, the charming demon with bright slit eyes and a playful grin, leads Nevaeh toward his place. Nevaeh can't help but be impressed by the appearance of the city. The tall, sleek buildings and clean, well-maintained streets catch her attention. You know, for hell… it's surprisingly clean, Nevaeh thinks to herself as she shakes her head. Then again, I'm not really sure what I was expecting.
With Ramón leading the way, it doesn't take long for them to reach his apartment complex. Nevaeh is amazed by the appearance of the gated community, finding everything to be quite nice. It's a little upscale and out of my non-existent paycheck, she thinks to herself as she takes in her surroundings, following closely behind Ramón.
As they enter the apartment complex, Nevaeh is momentarily taken aback as she sees Ramón heading towards the elevator. Memories of the first time she was in an elevator in hell flash through her mind, filling her with dread.
Ramón notices that Nevaeh has stopped and looks at her with a perplexed expression. "What's wrong?" he asks.
Nevaeh shakes her head, her arms crossed over her chest. "No mames güey! No way, dude! I'm not getting in that elevator," she says, her voice laced with panic.
Ramón can't help but laugh at Nevaeh's response. "What? Scared of elevators, mija?" he asks, a teasing glint in his eyes.
Nevaeh pouts, her fear turning to embarrassment. "Well, considering that the first elevator that I took went about 60 mph, yeah. Not a fan of elevators," she admits, her voice laced with frustration.
Ramón's laughter fades as he sees the genuine fear in Nevaeh's eyes. "Hey, it's okay. I promise this elevator is perfectly safe. You can trust me," he says softly, reaching out to take her hand. "And if it makes you feel any better, you can hold my hand," he adds with a grin.
Nevaeh looks at Ramón's outstretched hand and then back up at him. She hesitates for a moment before finally taking it and following him into the elevator. As they step into the elevator together, Nevaeh can feel her heart racing. She looks up at Ramón, her eyes narrowed in suspicion. "This better not be a trick," she says as she gives his hand a slight squeeze.
Ramón just grins at her, a mischievous gleam in his eyes. Nevaeh can't help but wonder if she has made a mistake. But before she can voice her concerns, Ramón speaks up. "Relájate, está bien! I promise," he says, his voice soothing and reassuring.
Nevaeh sighs in relief as the elevator doors close, her fear of elevators momentarily forgotten. But before she can fully relax–
“AAAAAAH!”
“AAAAAAAAAAHH!!”
Ramón suddenly screams, causing Nevaeh to scream as well. She looks over at him, only to see him laughing hysterically.
Nevaeh smacks him in the chest, her fear turning to anger. "That's not funny!" she exclaims, pulling her hand out of his grip. "I'm going back to the hotel."
Ramón's laughter fades as he sees the look of anger on Nevaeh's face. "I'm sorry, I promise I'll behave," he says, still trying to suppress a grin. He takes her hand in his and gives it a reassuring squeeze. "Come on, Nevaeh. Don't be mad," he says, lightly tugging her towards him.
Nevaeh hesitates for a moment before finally relenting. She knows that Ramón didn't mean any harm, and she finds herself unable to stay mad at him for long.
As the elevator jolts to life, Nevaeh instantly tenses up in fear. Ramón notices Nevaeh's fear and immediately tries to reassure her. "It's okay, Nevaeh. Everything will be fine," he says, his voice soothing and reassuring.
Nevaeh looks at Ramón, her eyes wide with fear. "Promise?" she asks, her voice barely above a whisper.
Ramón's expression softens as he sees the genuine fear in Nevaeh's eyes. He takes her hand in his and gives it a reassuring squeeze. "I promise," he says softly.
Nevaeh takes a deep breath and tries to calm her racing heart as she focuses on the feel of Ramón's hand in hers.
As the elevator moves at a normal speed, Nevaeh finally begins to relax. She realizes that this is a normal elevator, moving at a regular speed, and not the terrifying experience she had before.
Ramón looks at Nevaeh with a smug expression, an "I-told-you-so" look on his face. "I told you everything was going to be fine," he says, his lips curved into a teasing grin.
Nevaeh laughs and rolls her eyes playfully at him. "Yeah, yeah," she says with a smile. Despite her teasing words, Nevaeh still holds onto Ramón's hand tightly, not wanting to let go.
Ramón doesn't mind at all, enjoying the feeling of Nevaeh's delicate hand in his. As they reach the penthouse, Nevaeh feels more relaxed and ready to enjoy the rest of the evening with the charming demon.
Let's see what adventures await us here in Hell, she thinks to herself, a sense of determination and excitement filling her. She looks up at Ramón with a bright smile, eager to see what the charming demon has in store for her.
Ramón returns her smile, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "I have a feeling that we're going to have a lot of fun together, Nevaeh," he says, his voice filled with promise.
Nevaeh is excited to see what the future has in store for her in Hell, especially with Ramón by her side.
~ And here's a fun little story with Ramón and Nevaeh's distrust toward elevators lol Fun fact, I hate elevators lol Ramón is from the lovely game Repurpose by @residentialrabbit <3 ~
