my favorite thing in the world is when bg3 fanfic writers make elves less human then they are in canon / bring forth some of the canon seperation that they have in 5e

make astarion refer to shadowheart as a “half-human”

elves and humans asking the other “what’s it like to sleep/trance?”

sometimes i go "hm. i wonder if i am kin with any non dnd elves" and then i look at tolkien and throw up in my mouth. sorry but why are you a half elf what is THAT

sorry tolkien fans. i do in fact want to read lotr but i cant get over... those.
