I Miss Those Two Characters In 2024🕊️

Happy Father Day Everyone <3

Mister Demi Is Just Being Father Figure Tho

Happy birthday @dancing-duo ~! :3
I hope you have an excellent one >8D

I’m bringing this sweet boy to the rp blog too. He’s normally found on my batim blog, @dancing-duo , however I want him to fledge and move away from the fandom a bit. His basic info is below:
Name: Engel Neumann
Type: Avian (Eastern Screech Owl)
Age: 21
Born: September
Height: 5′1″
Family: Mother deceased; Father missing; no blood siblings; adopted older brother and dance partner, Charleston
Occupation: Entertainer that specializes in dancing and singing.
Likes: Sweet things such as baked goods, candies, and sweet drinks, soft materials, music, dance, plays and theater, travel
Dislikes: Heated arguments, dishonesty, bullying and stereotyping, prolonged solitude, violent acts
Homo Avis: Engel and Plume’s Species
Working on creating a fandomless species for my bird-people characters. This includes my characters Engel, Plume, Caleb, and Stolas.
Scientific name: Homo avis
Common name: Avian
Meaning: “Bird-like man”
Social structures: Avians can either be social creatures, living in large flocks that can have as many as 200 members, or in pairs. The only time an avian may be alone is when they chose to leave a flock to join another, exiled members, or individuals seeking to start their own flock.
Parents and chicks form bonds that can be lifelong. Even when the chicks have reached adulthood and fledged, they will assist in raising new chicks their parents are tending.
Temperament: Just like humans, Avians can have a range of personalities. They display many of their emotions with wing poses/movements, tail and feather displays, varying vocalizations, and in some groups through the use of stance and movements.
Certain groups are known for being more aggressive, especially if they are “raptors”. These avian members are carnivores and often stick to their own flocks only. Omnivorous and fruitarians tend to be more lax in nature, especially around non avian species.
Nesting Habits: Avians can have 1-3 eggs at one time. The eggs develop inside the mother for 3 months, before laying them. Once laid, the parents take turns keeping them warm for nearly 3 more months. This gives the growing chick inside a chance to grow stronger than a typical human infant would in development. However, these last three months are crucial. Only one or two eggs manage to successfully hatch. The more eggs laid equals a higher chance of mortality due to smaller sizes and individual care.
Once the eggs hatch, it is not uncommon for several mothers to combine their broods. They then share equal parenting over the chicks. The males are most likely to care for only their chicks however.
Appearance: Avians can range in the structure of their feathers and colors. Some are still adapted to camouflage, while others can be brightly colored. Some are even dull colored, such as gray’s and blacks, to vivid stark white. Patterns can vary from individual to individual as well. Typically all Avians have a form of tail with feathers, may it be standard bird feathers, to feathers like a peacock, to whip-like tails with 1 to multiple feathers at the end.
Avian Diets
I imagine the standard angel is sooner to consume plants and fruits, possibly even fish. However, Avians (bird people) have diets reflecting that of the species of bird they are.
Raptors, owls, and carnivorous bird avians will mostly eat meat. Eagles, hawks, and owls can eat more red meat than smaller carnivorous bird people, who may prefer fish and white meats. Carrion avians are notorious for preserving meats and eating more rare than cooked.
Song birds and hummingbird avians are more similar to angels. They prefer fruits and seeds. Some, like crows and blue jays, can eat some meat but it is not their main diet. Most songbird avians are excitable to nectars and flowers.
There are rare cross-breeds that can have a large variety of dietary options. However one side will often show through more than the other. Legendary avians, such as Phoenix based ones, are said to never eat anything except the ash that they are reborn from.

Drawing Meme: 👑 as royalty!

Lots of inspiration from the Fire Emblem games in this design. Engel would be known as the “Dark Prince” due to his black plumage. His personality remains sweet, radiant, and naive though :3
P.S. There’s a cross and rosemary beads decorating his feather tail tuft

The crimes of Engel’s halo eating obsession continues~

💐- What are their favorite flowers?

Engel adores flowers. He tends to a variety of them throughout the seasons, mainly up on the rooftop of his flat in in window box. His favorite flowers are sunflowers and lavender, but zinnia’s and gerber daisies are also a delight for the angel.

Engel: Expressing Affection
Engel tends to be an oblivious fellow when it comes to others liking him more than just as a performer or friend. He would sooner assume they are just being “super nice” and complimentive. His naive charm can be seen as rather innocent or childish even, but that does not mean Engel is not mature and aware of romance.
The avian is actually a hopeless romantic at heart, indulging in old-timey films that are black-and-white, and reading romantic novels. When he begins to recognize his own attraction for another, Engel may stumble over his words around them. Easy to make blush, some of the other physical signs he will display is fidgeting and quicker wags of the end of his tail.
Already a sap for baking, Engel will go out of his way to make sure he makes his interests the best and their favorite sweets. He loves to give sentimental gifts and necessities. Physically, Engel will puff his feathers from even the lightest touch of that other person and sometimes tremble his wings.
When both parties have acknowledged mutual interest in each other, Engel will become cuddly. Cuddling is a favorite activity with his partner(s) as well as pillow talk. Don’t believe that Engel’s naive nature doesn’t extends to deeper romantic expressions. In fact under that soft coat of feathers is an excitable and experimental creature.
In the public eye Engel is reserved with the amount of affection he will physically give his partner, such as only quick kisses, hand squeezes, and hugs. But out of sight the avian can get heated and seek to pleasure his partner in all ways possible. Some are surprised by his “kinky” antics and desire to “have some fun” in new and exciting ways.
Despite being based on an owl, Engel is not too picky when it comes to foods. The sweeter and tastier the better. Veggies raw tend to be a bit bland (except for cucumbers and celery), but he enjoys eating them cooked.
The bird is addicted to all kinds of fruits. Apples, bananas, oranges, and especially berries. It is not surprising to find a whole box of strawberries or blackberries gone within hours of being brought home from the store.
Fruit juices and teas are his common choice of drink. He will not turn his noise up at coffee though, Engel will just fill it with sugar and cream. Alcohol is an occasional treat, especially fruity drinks. Mind you, he is a lightweight and easy to get drunk.

Tea Quiz
You got: Chamomile Tea

You are a warm blanket in the form of a human. You’re welcoming and comforting, and loved ones know they can turn to you when they need a hug or a soothing word. You appreciate the cozy things in life, like wrapping up in a blanket and listening to the rain. In a world full of aggression, competition, and noise, you believe there’s bravery in being soft.

angel: do you like ‘bad boys’ or sweethearts more? 100th date: would you prefer to stay in or go out this valentine’s?
💌 25 valentine’s day asks
angel: do you like ‘bad boys’ or sweethearts more?

“Truth be told, I really enjoy the “bad boys” the most. They can be exciting and really give my heart a rush of adrenaline, like when I’m on stage performing. I love feeling protected and vulnerable at the same time. Even “bad boys” can have a tender, sweet side. I feel privileged if given the chance to witness that. Also...I’m mostly subdominant in relationships and love to have someone “boss” me around a bit~”
100th date: would you prefer to stay in or go out this valentine’s?

“I imagine I’ll be staying in this Valentine’s Day. Overall, I really don’t “go out” at all nowadays. Which is fine. I’d sooner curl up under some soft blankets with a good book than go out to a fancy restaurant. If...a colleague or friend wanted me to come hang out, I would consider it. Hopefully nothing too over zealous, maybe just hanging out together at each others home and sharing a cup of hot tea.”
