✨I adore Sofia as a character. Don’t get me wrong. I love bitchy characters like Maddie from Euphoria or Blair from Gossip girl. But I would never want Rafe with a girl like that because I care for him as a fictional character who wants good things for him. It would make for good drama on the screen but it would just be added stress to his life. I love that Sofia is a calming force and an anchor to him, while not being a pushover. Obviously she does not storm in when he talks about her, but many of us, myself included who might have been there, knows that sometimes it hurts to much. Other times we put them in their place, this just was not one of them. I actually dated a Rafe for many years, unstable and full of anger. Just because you don't let them have it once or so, does not make you weak or a doormat who can't stick up for yourself.
She clearly let's him known when she feels like he has done something wrong, but does so in a mature manner, which is what he needs. How many times has not Sarah and Ward shamed and screamed at him? That is not healthy at all. But Sofia is in the best way possible. She is kind but she does not go with the flow or is too soft on him. She looked real disturbed at the beach for instance, she was not laughing and trying to fit in to please the Kooks around her while they bullied the pouges. ✨
