Darkness as a comfort Darkness as a guise

A comfortable cloak of mine The Dark is Simple, kind

The light hurts my eyes The city is loud

Much too loud Bleeding into me

Give me the Darkness, Preferred and Caring

Like a mother with her arms Wrapped around and around

I retreat into her Sickened and dizzy from the sun
