Trying to write a paper on First World War poetry while in the midst of an extremely depressed emotional crisis, looking up jokes from the war itself to get me in a better mood. We’ve been reading Ford Madox Ford’s Parade’s End and a bunch of other works, and I had the most ridiculous thing pop into my head:
Somme Do Not
It’s too bad I’m doing the essay prompt on poetry rather than Ford, or that would be a real zinger of a title. It was too good not to share with the internet via my first actual tumblr post. So here you go.
