Here it is. My favorite group. My favorite gang. The loser Forever Number Two Squad. They try and they still can't and I love them for that.
Now I want to see the losers club. :)
Are you referring to the ACTUAL Losers' Club (aka the Stephen King's Losers Club) or my band of completely unlucky morons ? Whichever the case, you're getting more N2 Squad x)
Here's some random doodles I did to try and get their dynamics for an attempt at fanfic.

Oh love your losers forever number 2 group doodles. Seeing the doodles, I realized Leona and Vil are together longer than with Jamil.
Well, even on the off-chance that they weren't already dating before, they've still known each other for a while longer, while Jamil was off in his corner pretending to be mid and trying not to attract attention.
In both cases, Leona and Vil would already have their own habits/banter and Jamil, who is barely getting used to standing out and competing against "higher status" people, would take more time to feel comfortable.
(I have paragraphs of potential dynamics between those three, I could talk about them for hours haha)
So how did the losers number 2 group got together? Also realized the trio have to deal with their sunshine people (Cheka, Kalim, Neige)

I honestly don't know, I keep rewriting a possible getting together, but as an aro person that's the most difficult part for me to write. I don't have much trouble with people who are already lovey dovey, but getting together ? That's alien to me.
I mostly situate it after chapter 6, once Jamil has had some time with both Vil during the SDC and Leona at Styx. Leona and Vil already have some kind of relationship from the beginning of the game, but Jamil only gets out of his (dis)comfort zone during chap 5 and 6 so that seems like a good place to start.
After that... Leona probably finds something interesting in Jamil during Styx and keeps pushing afterwards. He dual wields his fling with Vil and his flirting with Jamil I guess.
Jamil and Vil might come a bit further down the line. After all, Jamil has proven himself to be a triple threat (can sing, can rap, can dance (and is ajsbdjbd pretty too)) so those two have a few hobbies in common. Plus Jamil probably values Vil's diligence and hard work a lot. (Though there is a contrast between Vil holding honesty on very high regard while Jamil is the worst liar in all NRC)
All in all, there are many potential things to exploit. And-
(Kidding, have me monologue on those three. I love it)

Leona and Jamil is a rare but nice ship and you only made it cuter by adding Vil
Hii I just want to say that your art is so wonderful, and especially the recent ship/rare-ish pair art that you made (I already love leovil a whole lot, and you kinda kindled a liking to leojami in me haha, and so all three of them together is such a cute and funny treat!!🩷🩷🩷) like idk how to explain it, but the ship art is just so,,,, warm and comfy,,, i love finding safe spaces for ships and you became a new fav of mine!! :D

I'm glad you consider this blog a safe space. I strive not to judge and try a many things as possible so sometimes I like to just... mash two people together as long as I find one interesting thing about their canon relationship. (Can you believe I used to be not too hot about rare pairs and then suddenly I got a couple friends who completely changed my mind about that with their writings haha)

The loser Forever Number Two Squad is trying out lottery. It goes about as well as you'd expect.
I don't know, I love those three. I feel like they'd have a good dynamic together. It's a shame there's, like, no fanfiction whatsoever about those three. (Yes this is a shameless request to all you writers out there.)

No but on a more serious note. I focused on Jamil here coz my boi just can't catch a break, but the truth is that Book5, for as much as I love it, really doesn't have a satisfying ending.
It's not a matter of "we lost" and me being salty about it, obviously it was very important for Vil's character arc.
Buuuuut... Well, it wasn't the only character arc started in this Book. All previous Books were (mostly) completely focused on the overblotter and the previous overblotter that joined the frayed to help out. Here we don't just have a continuation of Jamil's character arc, there was also Epel and Deuce who got a big thing, and Kalim had a throwaway line that never got anywhere (and I'm salty about it. I wished we heard more about how he felt competitiveness towards Jamil for the first time).
In the context of Jamil and Epel's character arc mostly, losing the SDC is extremely unsatisfying. Jamil finally got handed the spotlight and accepted it, and he still failed. Even when he get the one thing he wants he still ends second. Nothing changes. Rip my forever Number Two loser.
Epel also got a whole arc about accepting to weaponize his cuteness. It falls flat. His finally using his cuteness doesn't make the team win, he doesn't one up Neige, he doesn't fulfill his role as Vil's poisonous apple. Just bad.
If they really just focused on Vil for this Book like they did in previous Books, that ending would have been much stronger. But with the numerous character arcs there, I feel like there should have been another way so that they could all have their respective good ending.
