Geoffrey: Reckless and Feral
Geoffrey is a 200+ old vampire from a clan. He was one of the first to be changed and forced into his new afterlife, something the vampire strongly detested at first. Over the years Geoffrey did come to enjoy his new power, however keeping himself in check quickly began to falter. To avoid detection by his clan, the young vampire left the country to venture on his own. During this time the man became nearly feral, uncaring if he killed and harmed more than necessary to quench his thirst. He wanted to know just how destructive he could get and build his new strength.
In time, members of his clan got word of what was happening and realized it was their own. With no human hunter capable of stopping Geoffrey, the clan recaptured the rouge vampire and shut him away in a coffin for decades. Over time they unbound the shackles of Geoffrey’s confinement and had to reintegrate the vampire back to a more civilized state. They marked his skin in a binding spell to prevent him from ever reaching his full power potential.
“Reborn” and retrained, Geoffrey became a better clan member, but still came with serious flaws. Parts of his feral nature still break out on occasion. Theses instances require sealing Geoffrey away in the coffin once more until the episode passes. Things that trigger these reactions include fresh wounds and seaping blood, rare blood types, and periods of several days without feeding.
Ways to prevent this mainly require Geoffrey to have feeding volunteers; people he will feed off their blood enough to satisfy him but not kill them. Another proactive action on Geoffrey’s part is to immediately leave the premises at the scent of fresh blood or rare blood types. However, others best hope the vampire is willing to leave, because the feral side will tempt him to remain and seek out the source.
In my original story idea with Ismene and Geoffrey, the doofus vampire took shelter in the library while under gun fire. As I rewrite them and begin exploring aus with friends, I’m considering having Geoffrey save Ismene this time around. Another reason why they stick together and are in debt to one another.
Ismene’s fiancé was transfixiated by the thought of power and eternal life, readily allowing himself to be turned into a vampire. He then forced Ismene to become one against her will. With Ismene’s powers and abilities being so unique, as well as her refusal to willingly join the clan, she was imprisoned. In the dungeons Geoffrey was in temporary detainment due to his power lust nature getting out of hand. He met the newly turned vampire in a neighboring cell, learning of her tragic predicament and capabilities. Geoffrey was fascinated and felt pity for the woman, an emotion the male vampire rarely displays anymore.
Upon his release, Geoffrey would meet with Ismene in secret to discuss ways of breaking her out. He was allowed to leave the clan grounds and would disappear for several days, before sneaking back to help Ismene escape. His absence did not raise suspicion for a good while, the clan figuring Ismene had found a way of escape solely. The two have been on the run ever since.
11. In what situation was your character the most afraid they’ve ever been? (for Geoffrey)
Character Development “Hard Mode” Meme: send a number & character to my ask box and I’ll write an answer/headcanon in reply.
Geoffrey isn’t one to normally feel fear, however he has experience it :3 When the vampire was recaptured by his clan and threatened to be exterminated, Geoffrey’s response was cocky and taunting. However when put into a chamber and restrained, the executioners opened a hatch on the ceiling to expose sunlight.
As it crept closer towards Geoffrey he began to realize his true dire situation and begged for mercy. He was slightly burned from the sun but finally they spared him. The rouge vampire was then put through intense “therapy” to reintegrate him into their society.
