• what if Todd punched Cameron, not Charlie?

• after Todd's embarrassment from Keating, Neil has to comfort him

• Meeks convinces Charlie to dance with him on the roof

• Neil is extremely clumsy and ends up breaking his wrist three times in 3 months

• Neil and Todd fall in love, but to their delight, Nolan finds them out

• The Dead Poets have a reunion, but they find out Neil and Todd/Charlie and Meeks/Meeks and Pitts/Charlie and Knox have a child

• Meeks has to tell Charlie he's asexual, after having sex for 4 months

• Cameron steals Meeks' glasses

• Meeks and Cameron go through Neil's laptop, just to find google Docs filled with fan fiction about everyone

Is it just me or do Cameron and Pitts actually seem like really good friends?

Besides Pitts constantly hanging around Meeks he seems to spend the rest of his time around Cameron.

Just thought I’d point it out because I think it’s nice.

dead poets' society modern(ish) headcanons

Most of these are school related because I'm going back to college next week. (most of these are things my friends or I have done.)

Todd:

 has definitely written fanfiction for his creative writing assignments in English.

definitely has a semi-popular poetry account on TikTok/tumblr

Enters his poetry/writing into competitions and stuff when he gets a little bit more confident 

Loved by the dinner ladies

Eats the most heinous food combinations like beacon and fish finger sandwiches, just the most questionable foods. 

Neil:

Has  walked into the set during a show because he  had to perform without his glasses.

His drama teacher's favourite student.

Most popular boy in the class

On the school newspaper 

Kissed Todd for the first time during the intermission of one of his plays and was so flustered after he almost missed his cue.

Charlie:

Banned from the library 

Ran against Cameron for school council/class president (they tied.)  

Him and Cameron actively hate each other but outright refuse to be separated from each other.

Has been kicked out of Assembly multiple times.

Music is his best subject

Banned from giving people dares in truth or dare

Cameron

Debate team captain

On the track team

The kid teachers sit bad students next to, in hopes they behave.

He was sat next to Charlie in every lesson in year nine  for that exact reason.

This quickly changed when Charlie started to influence Cameron instead of the other way round.

Goes to homework club.

Meeks

Almost flooded his bathroom after trying to see if he could  use oil to plug his sink.

Can’t swim but can hold his breath underwater for 2 minutes 

Hates sand

Taught himself and Pitts morse code.

Gets really competitive during kahoot

Loves halloween, plans his and Pitts duo costumes months in advance.

Pitts 

Freakishly good at table tennis

Can solve a rubix cube in under a minute

Top set for science 

Double jointed

Always being asked to help teachers get things because he's the  tallest in his year.

Terrible at Geography, like could not locate Canada on a map to save his life.

Knox 

Broke his arm doing a cartwheel for a dare.

Can’t tell the difference between admiration and romantic interest for the life of him 

Fully had a crush on Charlie in year ten but just thought he REALLY wanted to be his friend.

Plays football

He tried out   for rugby to impress Chris, it did NOT go well.

Gets detention for riding his bike to school without a helmet.

The dead poets on a trip to the beach

• Todd brings a lot of food

• they rent an apartment, which turns into a huge mess the second they get there

• Ginny and Neil bake pancakes

• the first evening, they go to the beach to watch the sunset and have deep conversations

• Charlie brings alcohol

• The next morning they go fishing

• Meeks and Pitts LOVE it

• Knox is scared of crabs and screams everytime they catch one

• Neil organized a secret activity, which turns out to be rowing (on the sea)

• Chris and Todd were terrified but both end up loving it

• they did scream a lot tho

• Charlie tries to throw Cameron out of his boat but ends up falling in the water himself

• Pitts and Meeks went too far into the sea and got in trouble with the lifeguards

• Knox screams every time he sees a jellyfish

• Todd ends up really drunk that evening and Neil takes care of him

• the weather is really bad the next day, so they go to a cozy cafe and play board games

• Charlie tries to cheat a lot but Cameron always catches him

• they also visit the local shops and buy souvenirs for each other

• Chris and Ginny bought lots of make up and tried to make the others wear it too

• in the evening, they watch movies in their apartment and stay up late

• they woke up really late and realized they still had to clean their apartment

• Charlie puts on some music and somehow they manage to leave on time

• on the train back home they make plans for their next trip
