You feel the sensation of his fingers gently padding along your back, the tickling feeling makes you straighten your back with a smile. “Glenn,” you say his name with a chuckle as you look over your shoulder at him.
“What? I'm just checking if you have any sunburns. It's summer, y'know. Gotta be careful out there.” He says back, his eyes on your back as he scans for any signs of sunburn, he even cares enough to gently lower the nape of your neck to check behind your head. What a sweetheart.
“Yeah, for now.” He replies, leaning in to kiss your cheek. “For now?” You repeat, bringing him in closer by the shoulder. You feel his lips warm against your cheek as he kisses it. The warm feeling lingers as he pulls away.
“You done with your little inspection, pizza boy?” You ask in a light-hearted tone, looking at him through the corners of your eyes. He can see the folds of your eyes crinkle up into a smile.
Glenn tries not to react to your little nickname for him, an easy name from you to him. He wished he could think of a name as easily as that. Even if it was something as simple as ‘pizza boy’. The simplicity of it made it even more endearing.
