As the incomprehensible time of this place passed him by, his awareness grew. He became conscious of patterns, both in his surroundings and in his own behavior. He found himself consistently drawn to one individual, somehow knowing that he needed to stay close to him.

Human. The strange word came to mind at some point after seeing the man for the first time. This...human...was vital, but why? It seemed as if there was an answer to that question, but it - like everything else in this place of vibrant colors, shifting lights, humans, and sounds he should be able to understand - was frustratingly beyond reach. When the human man asked a question, apparently for the sole purpose of satisfying his curiosity, something fell into place.
